After reading lots of the to and fro comments here. I have come to a full realization that Mr buhari is a fraud . He have no credible credentials to present.
Thought he attended some school and trainings. He
did not successful complete any of the programs to earn certifications of acknowledgments. This could be due to dyslexia or other learning disabilities peculiar to him. His supporters and defenders should stop beating around. It takes less effort to do the right thing, than all these hullabaloo they've been dancing.

The Military board is located in Abuja yet Buhari prefers to go to Abuja high court to swear to an affidavit instead of going to the board to collect his credentials. Does Buhari thinks Nigerians are dunce like him?

Note that Buhari was head of that military board in those days. Therefore, with a phone call to military board, Buhari can get the certificates.
So, why is buhari afraid of presenting his certificates?

Shows the mumuness of buhari, He can't even lie well.

Nonsense!!!

Chino, when idiats questioned the birth history of Obama, he did not reply them until over a year later to extinguish the rumor mongering. Go and do your research well.

This is not the first time that Buhari has contested for presidency. You guys are just very petty and it shows the PDP machinery are running out of ideas.

Certainly even Jonathan himself could see his end is nigh. If he thinks he's gonna stand alone in this contest like he did in the PDP "coronation" he's got another thing coming.

I know enormous pressure would be mounted on the Military not to release the said certs given that they come under the command of the president, but one thing they should know is the chaos that would ensue upon tinkering with disqualification of Buhari would make the subsidy protests look like a new yam festival!!

Pa Eziachi, what was your comment when they were bombarding Princess Stella Oduah with frivolous allegations and claims of differences between her actual qualifications and what she tendered during Senate confirmation while accusing her of certificate forgery?

Premiumtimesng, Saharareporters and most Nigerian online and print media were involved with the investigations and counter investigations while making sure the news remained on air and social media platforms every minute.

Was that because of hate, bigotry, ethnic sentiment or what exactly?
If you go back my response today was the same then. I said then that the clamour for her qualifications when they were the one that cleared her as a minister was more to do with politics than her qualifications.
When you are consistent and non partisan, you don't have to worry about tomorrow.
The same way an telling you now that the sudden clamour for Buhari certificate has more to do with PDP propaganda than anything because they had never found themselves before in the past, with this sort of opposition going into any election and they decided to implode every possible dirty tactics. And there are more to come.
If there are strong basis for this, I would expect PDP in various courts now seeking all sorts of injunction.

Common sense is no longer common with many Nigerians!

The constitution states minimum of secondary school certificate is enough to run for any position in the country. If someone has a Masters, do you then bother about the secondary school certificate if the Masters certificate is certified as authentic?

At the end of the day, Buhari will locate and submit his secondary school certificate.

And if he can't even find that, this propaganda will also die down soon just as other previous ones.

Many Nigerians have already decided to side with a semi-literate Buhari who has better performance record rather than a PhD holder who has been described with such adjectives as "a disgrace to PhD holders", "a kindergarten president", "a drunk fisherman", "a clueless president", "Nebuchadnezzar" among many other unenviable adjectives.

No amount of character assassination will suffice. The fact is GEJ is a typical example of FAILURE

For those arguing about 2003, 2007 & 2011 days should realise that fraudulent past does not validate today's requirements. We need to move ahead with the elections but only with QUALIFIED CANDIDATES. Anyone who has no certificate should be screened out. This is our (Nigeria) HR policy.
INEC must be totally incompetent to had missed the same mistake on three occasions even with a character like Maurice Iwu in charge.

This matter is as simple as ABC.we are just trying to cover the truth with sentiments and politics. If he has those claimed qualifications then let him retrieve them from the military.. by the way, did he give the original copies of his certs to the military? The military is still there so he better make hay while sun shines..

In my considered opinion,1.Has the military denied being in possession of Buhari's certificates? 2.why is the military mute over the allegation 3. Can Buhari lie against the military with impunity? 4. Could this be one of PDP's usual desperate and despicable political manoeuvres? 5. Is it possible for Buhari to have risen to the rank of General (acclaimed one of the best, by an independent international entity of no mean repute), without having an O'level certificate? 6. Is it not blatantly CHEAP to dwell on ordinary certificates when we know that paper qualification is DEFINITELY not enough to make a good leader? 7. Does gej's Phd make him a leader to reckon with? 8. Could Sambo have ACTUALY lost his certificates to fire?, when? Where? How? Mind you, in the case of FIRE one cannot make enquiries or maybe you should enter fire and ask it some questions! Nobody can LIE against the Nigerian military with impunity. The fact that they have not responded to the claim or delayed to respond to such a weighty claim should send the biggest slowpoke THINKING. For goodness sake, are some people so unfortunately daft? Chai!

grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin And why did the PDP not deny Buhari's certificates when he held several positions in the public service? Why did they not ask for them when he contested in 2003, 2007 and 2011? The answer is simple, they sense a very high possibility of a "BUHARI VICTORY" especially now that he has a broader coalion of parties (APC) unlike the CPC that was not only formed weeks to the 2011 election but was smaller than PDP, ANPP,ACN and Labour party. Desperate times call for desperate measures and that is what the PDP are adopting.

FORMER Head of State and All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate in the forthcoming elections, retired General Muhammadu Buhari, has said that the certificate saga against him was meant to ridicule him and his quest to wrest power from President Goodluck Jonathan. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), yesterday, said it would not be drawn into the controversy as it is bent on delivering credible elections for Nigerians.

Buhari, who spoke with The Guardian through his media aide, Mr. Rotimi Fashakin, Saturday, explained that the present crop of Army personnel has been politicised, the reason for which an officer would challenge the certificates of his superior just to cast an aspersion on him and also favour his principal who would be vying for the same election.

Fashakin said: “The controversy that is being generated by the certificate issue is something that is not acceptable. They are just looking for something to hold desperately to be able to prevent Buhari.

“What are the facts of this case? Before now, Gen. Buhari had contested elections for three occasions. Are you going to say that he didn’t present any certificate for those three times? He also had risen to the position of a Major General in the Army and all his credentials are well documented by the Army in those days. It is not only that he rose to the position of a Major General; he also rose to the position of a military Head of State.

“Now, the Army of that same country claims that he does not have a certificate. It is something that should puzzle us as a people. The Chief of Army Staff said that he does not know what people are talking about, meaning that they do not have records of his certification to have passed certain courses, including academic attainments.”

According to Buhari, “These are issues that raise some questions. That we can have a Major General in the army, whose certificates are now being subjected to debate, point to some political ends. What I would say is that this is a no case submission.

“ May be, the person talking about General Buhari’s certificates today, was just struggling to become a Captain when Buhari was Head of State. Where was he then? So, if they are talking of Buhari’s certificates in the Army, the first question we should ask is: who is the person talking?”

He also argued: “If the Army can come out to deny its own, especially someone who became a GOC, and also commanded three of the four divisions of the Nigerian Army as it were, and now to be subjected to this kind of vilification because of some obvious indescribable political ends, then you know that there is something fundamentally wrong with the nation.

“As a matter of fact, General Buhari was even a prefect in his secondary school, so... it is even a shame on all of us that someone who became our Head of State would now have to be ridiculed in this manner because of some terrible political ends that some people are pursuing. It is a collective shame on us as a people.”

Meanwhile, INEC has continued to keep mum over the alleged certificate scandal involving the APC presidential candidate.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had alleged that General Buhari did not possess the requisite certificate to contest in the February 2015 presidential election, claiming that he submitted a sworn affidavit to INEC, rather than the original of his certificates.

INEC yesterday refused to react to the recent comments from the Nigerian Army, saying it was not in possession of Buhari’s original certificate.

The Nigerian army had on Friday explained that it does not keep original certificates of its officers and men of the force, stressing that the officers’ file contains only photocopy of their credentials. smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley

The fact remains that GMB might be corrupt-free (in the sight of some people) but he has a lot of flaws that can prevent him from ruling this country. They may cover some but they will become glaring when he takes over and starts ruling. His style of ruling and fighting corruption is purely partial. Refer to Wole Soyinka's article about GMB. Some of his bad deeds were concealed successfully because he is a pure dictator. GEJ might not be the best but at least in his regime, there is absolute freedom of information and expression. And that is why his opponents have access to so much details about government at the center. And are able to openly criticize him. And that is very good for our democracy. This is the true democracy the Nigeria needs. I am not campaigning for anybody but mark my word, Nigerian's will soon regret their choice if GMB wins.
Re: Buhari Certificate Saga An Assault On The Military - Lai Mohammed. by Nely77(m): 3:32pm On Jan 04, 2015
I disagree that the verification exercise by INEC and that if GMB does not have the certificate, then it is a shame on all of us. It might be a shame on you (writer) but not on me because the masses did not put GMB as head of state then and the masses (including you) had no gut to challenge or question his authority or credentials as he took power and ruled by force (dictator). You are saying this now because there is something you hope to gain from his government if he eventually wins. Try to be realistic and honest.

APC keep shouting they want to change Nigeria . But none of their Governors dare domesticates the FOT ACT . I challenge all the state of Governors to domesticate FOI ACT and lets see if they will have any place to hide , lets see if fact an figures of their stealing does not become public in one month of domesticate . why are they afraid of making freedom of information a law in their respective states ?
