Its more of a culture thing than religion; cos my mum was almost 18yrs too when she married my dad. But the difference here is that it wasnt her grandfather's agemate that she married cos my dad was 28yrs at the time.

Only those who frequent sharia courts here in the north like me would understand what i'm saying clearly. Sharia courts handle series of divorce cases day-in & day-out involving mostly these kinds of young brides married to aged men. And the rate of female divorcees in the north is increasing very rapidly. I pity these women gaskiya; something really needs to be done.
