So your justifying the massive corruption based on a technicality that it was'nt announced to the public in a broadcast.I'm beginning to suspect that you are one of accomplices of those raping the country or a beneficiary of the corruption in the system.

You are funny, spare me as I no follow.

What I actually advocate is the need for structural and institutional changes involving amendment to some sections the constitution and the passage of PIB to make the agency totally accountable to Civilian regime and not just a cosmetic changes as a result of public outcry.

Structural and institution changes won't make a difference as long as there is corruption in the system and the people in charge at NNPC,DPR,PPRA and Ministry of Petroleum engage in corrupt acts. We need a leader like Buhari to tackle the corruption first then all the institutional changes will happen. If not regardless of the changes that happen Diezanni Madueke will not stop stealing and dashing oil block to Jide Omokore,Kola Aluko in exchange for shares in the oil block and spending N10 billion on private jets Corruption and the perpretators need to be punished, money needs to be recovered, oil blocks need to be seized from individuals and taken over by the goverment.

Common sense should tell most people that if this report is favorable to GEJ and his cohorts, it would have been released right away and the usual suspects would have been shoutin "Fresh Air" all over the place.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are using this delay to further cook the books thereby making them in line with the audit report. But not-to-worry. President Buhari and Attorney General Lai Mohammed will expose then soon enough.

They plan on cooking the books,PWC is a reputable accounting firm they should'nt soil their name,if they do ,when Buhari comes to power they will face the repercussion of their actions.

My suspicion all along. Infact it got myself and Ngwakwe into an e fight because I was trying to raise awareness on the report to be released before the elections to reduce the extent of the cookery.

Sometimes, you people won't cease to amaze me. Is it this same Buhari that managed PTF for which PwC Audit indicted almost every department involved in management of PTF funds.

Corruption in Nigeria is not a one man show and it doesn't persevere where there are adequate checks and balance.

You forgot that the former GED of the NNPC in charge of exploration, Abiye, was sacked after he fought spiritedly to reconcile accounts on alleged missing oil funds with ex-CBN Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

LRNZH:

I'm familiar to a considerable level with Abiye's sack story. He was sacked for being utterly stubborn with the IOCs not for the reasons mentioned above.

Abiye verbally insulted the Country Managers/Directors of those IOCs in meetings between NNPC and IOCs. He refused their cash call without any consideration for workarounds

Infact, he stopped some company's from drilling between 2014 and 2015. He was a risk to Gov't's revenue from the oil sector and was destroying the goodwill between the IOCs and the FG hence his sack. He barely lasted for a year If I recollect well.

I said the agency headed by the same Mohammadu Buhari was in corruption mess as indicated in PTF Audit reports by PwC.

How dare you promote this same Buhari to stamp out corruption before structural and institutional reforms aimed at checking and punishing corrupt practices in the system. Are we in military regime?

It should also be noted that the NASS and Judiciary have more to contribute to make these desired changes and to ensure the system works.

My targets are credible 2016 census and standardisation of the oil well leasing and mining licences according to international best practices as many are due to expire from 2016 to 2018

I want him back primarily because of Dr Okonjo Iweala's sincerity and experience in managing the economy, the local content policy which includes Oil and Gas among many other reforms put in place to restructure the country.

I don't believe the census under Buhari will be fair to Southern Nigeria knowing fully well that population is the basis for 50% Federal allocations to States.

GEJ has had 6 years to right these so called wrongs.
He only appointed his apologists and forgot about policy formation and implementation.

The is GEJ does not see beyond his nose in terms of policy vision and guidance. Aspirations will dashed again by 2019 if he wins.

Elections have been relatively fair since Jega took over from Maurice Iwu. My point is that irrespective of the geopolitical background of the leader, if he's sincere like Jega (just as Buhari is), and is surrounded by the right set of people (APC will ensure this under GMB), your aspirations we still be met and even exceeded.
