i can bet my house that rooney has a higher accuracy of passes longer than 70 yards than the passes within 3-7 yards. rooney is the wackest in our team with short passes. he just doesn't know how to complete short passes. he's that bad!

Manchester United have announced a freeze on season-ticket prices for the fourth year in a row despite the financial blow of missing out on the Champions League.

The club have announced the prices for the 2015-16 campaign and the rise in commercial income from sponsors has allowed the club to freeze prices once more for the fifth time in six years.

United said in a statement: “The club is delighted to announce that season-ticket prices have been frozen for the 2015-16 season. This represents the fourth consecutive season, and the fifth time in six years, that prices have been held.”

United’s season-ticket prices range from £532 to £950 and the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward was writing to all current season ticket holders plus the fans groups Imusa and Must on Friday to inform them of the freeze.

The club announced in November that revenue was down by almost 10% for the first quarter of the financial year, a consequence of the failure to qualify for this season’s Champions League.

However the record kit deal with Adidas and a 49% growth in sponsorship income means the club remains profitable and United are able to absorb the financial shortfall without resorting to raising ticket prices.

Correction... it wasn't Herrera and it wasn't a pass either. It was Mata and it was a 'perfectly cushioned' 'Berbatov-like' ball-control from Blackett's defensive clearance onto Rooney's foot.

When Rooney has 3-4 different options to pick, he mostly picks the wrong one (usually a pass out to the right-wing) especially when his partner in crime Anthonio Valencia is playing.
Earlier in the game, there was a counter-attack on where he had two players bombing down centrally on his right and shaw on the left wing - if you were keenly watching that game, you'd know how that panned out!

Rooney has not even been poor as Fellaini's last two matches for us. In one of Fellaini's last two matches, his bottom level was so bad that it looked like he was a player for he opposition side. He was gifting them passes and one led us to concede a goal. He would chest and control a pass for an opponent.

How many times has Mata screwed up first touch that should have set him on one vs one with the goal keeper in earlier matches? Even against Stoke, Mata miscued first touches. I culd sttart marking every first touch missed in our team. You will be surprised what you get.

Currently, Falcao has the worst first touch.
As for Fatigue. Yes Fatigue affects. Fatigue can turn a very fluent man to a stammerer.

you want to give rooney credits for that horrible first touch? his markers got beaten by the poor touch cos none of them ever envisaged a poor touch could be that bad. rooney himself didn't plan that - he got lucky that his markers got attracted to him instead of following the ball.



mata has never screwed up a first touch. yes, his hold up play is weak because of his small frame. his first touch is perfect but he gets easily bullied thus losing possession after controlling the ball perfectly. rooney loses possession with his first touch. it happened time & time again last night.



rooney has the poorest first touch in the whole of manchester(and that includes city, blackburn, oldham and FC united). it's not news anymore that rooney has the most horrible first touch in the premier league.
