When Rooney has 3-4 different options to pick, he mostly picks the wrong one (usually a pass out to the right-wing) especially when his partner in crime Anthonio Valencia is playing.
Earlier in the game, there was a counter-attack on where he had two players bombing down centrally on his right and shaw on the left wing - if you were keenly watching that game, you'd know how that panned out!

* Rooney is scoring from 1st touches. It's far harder than to control.

it's his lame attempt to convince us that rooney has a better first toüch than mata is what is killing me here. he wants to blame fatigue for rooney's horrendous first touch - rooney has never had a good first touch throughout his career. he's a street footballer - he had no formal training as a kid....he never learnt positioning, good first touch, etc.

He has been very good all season. To try to use one match to rubbish his entire season is pure witch hunting.

rooney's first touch is the poorest in our squad bar none. without a doubt, when rooney is in form - he sometimes play as good as messi and ronaldo but when he's out of form, he's easily our worst player.

rooney's bottöm level is worse than any of us here. when he's not in form, he finds it difficult to even pass from 1-3 yards, the ball bounces off him, his diagonal balls go out of touch and he's just useless to the cause.
