Quick questions:

1:Does it mean that attending an institution is equivalent to obtaining a certificate/degree?

2: What is stipulated in the constitution? Attendance or a certificate?

3: Will this now set a precedence that I can now apply for that job I like that requires a Doctorate Degree because I can present a verifiable list of my classmates though I didn't graduate?

It's either some people are real dumb or just plain mischievous. After seeing this, some dolts are still asking for secondary school certificate. The Constitution of Nigeria stipulates the equivalent of a Secondary School Cert.

Buhari we know for a fact attended NDA -- a post secondary school, and US Army War college -another post secondary school. Both institutions are more than suffice enough to meet the equivalent of School Cert even if one assumes that Buhari did not attend any secondary school. And we know he went to Barewa college where he had been listed as a notable alumni before all the PDP BS about certificate.

There is panic in the camp of PDP no doubt. Majority of Nigerians are disenchanted with the Clueless one -the man with the insatiable appetite for food, jets and corruption!

The war college don't need certificate from buhari to be part of their programme as he was sponsored by Nigeria govt. (Nigeria army). The entry mode into the N.A is a minimum of SSCE as God will have it exactly what is required for the position buhari is vying for now this is easy to get than the Ph'd or masters you are giving us

he was in the SMC up till, at least October 1979.
MSc programmes run for at least 1 months. usually 18 months.
how can he be a fellow in 1980 based on his work at the US War college.
The plausible thing is that he came to the War College as a Fellow.

SSCE started in the nineties.

Buhari was born in 1942, there was no SSCE during his time, even WAEC was probably not started then.

According to the War College, International Fellows MUST ensure you bring an official version of your Officer Record Brief / Personnel Record that reflects the following types of information:

Civilian Education (so civil education is one of the prerequisite to get a fellowship)
Military Education/Training (to include any other foreign and US schools/training or education)
Special Qualification Certification (e.g., Airborne/Parachute, Desert, Artic, Special Forces, Ranger, Jungle, Mountain, Aviation)
Listing of Military Duty Assignments that include dates, position and organization
List of any participation of Battle Campaigns, Peacekeeping, or conflicts to include name, dates, and location
Instructor Experience
Joint Staff Experience
etc

The Length of his program does not matter. The important thing is that the fellowship is equivalent to a masters degree.(that doesn't mean you have a MsC but it means you can use it in lieu )

sambo wrote to the institution he attended. the institution wrote a letter attesting sambo had specific qualifications from them.
If buhari will write to US war college, i bet you by Thursday, he would have a letter attesting to his Masters degree.

The Nigeria Military School was founded in 1954 or so, when Buhari would have been 12.

His wiki page does not say he attended the institution.

he went to the Nigeria Military Training College (later renamed NDA), which is a military university (wiki).


the entry requirements would be whatever obtained at the time.
