AMECHI is a liar, no where in the timeline of Nelson Mandela was ever mentioned he spend six months in Amechi's home. Even in his autobiography- Long walk to freedom.

http://www.sahistory.org.za/topic/nelson-mandela-timeline-1960-1969

Nowhere in his latest diary of all his letters (conversation with myself) he wrote in prison did the letter appear to have been written to Amechi. I mean during those hard times when it was even difficult to smuggle the letters out of prison, Mandela decided to write to Amechi. I doubt if Mandela even knew who Amechi was, the old man was trying to score some cheap political points by trying to associate himself with a great statesman, a hero and a stalwart.

No, they were trained to be effective guerrillas.

Was planting mines, public bombings, attacks on churches, villages, farms etc following ROE?

Branding is for recruiting, appeal, Justification reasons etc.

Wars are won at the hearts and minds of people, if people feel BH is winning its "holy war" disaffected youth will swell its ranks.

They're defeating you in the PR or branding side of the war.

NATO simply needed more troops to be more effective, also remember the USA went into Afghanistan first. But when they opened another front by that I mean the Iraqi war, attention and resources were diverted into Iraq. Where the battles were pitched than Afghanistan.

Look at how the Aq insurgents were crashed in Iraqi. They had access to billions worth of weapons.

First things first.

Nigeria has always been a hotbed for Muslim extremism. It isn't a question of hearts and minds of people. Situations aren't "one size fits all". From usman don fodio in the 1800's - maitatsine - kano riots - mohammed yusuf - shekau (1, 2, 3).

Nigeria sits on a political knife edge, you don't want it to seem like a christian president from the south is leading a "crusade" against Muslims in the north. Consultations and political care have to be taken.

Again, the media has in no small part helped in fuelling this insurgency. I'll repeat, scores and scores of insurgents were killed in yobe state, not a single comment from the media. So how is it important news that an overrun of a remote FOB in the freaking desert credible news?".

There is for a fact a determined agenda to make the Nigerian military appear weak and helpless, while some glory hunters jump in the save the supposed day.

The chibok girls kidnap saga is a clear demonstration of the agenda. 7 months after, what have we heard from the U.S on this issue. What did their supposed drone and surveillance flights achieved, haven't they now sneaked out of the country?

NATO had all the troops and equipment they required in afghanistan, including an over 130,000 U.S troops alone. NATO had assets in afghanistan which was more than the combined assets of all the countries in sub-saharan Africa.

13 long miserable years in afghanistan which resulted in no results and a strong, resolute enemy soldering on.

Nigeria's COIN efforts have been very effective. With our limited assets over a large area, we have been able to achieve steady, sustainable results.

It just happens to matter what lens the press choose to propagate stories from. An effective slaughter of the enemy in yobe or a largely ineffective remote base in the middle of the desert.

There has been a steady flow of arms into the region since the days of Liberia. It's not a new thing. Even when you were boasting about COIN, there was a steady flow of arms into the region. No one buys your story.

Your COIN failed. It's as simple as that. Now you're in a semi-conventional war situation. And I bet this would be full conventional if your soldiers weren't always running from the enemy.

And anyway, you aren't much of a COIN expert if you can't deal with the issue of the flow of arms. Dealing with such issues is one of the main activities of a COIN campaign.

How do you deal with a flow of arms from libya in the freaking desert?

Nigeria's COIN effort has been very progressive. Initial gains made by the enemy is steadily been rolled back, and effectively.

Nope - your military ineptitude has allowed the situation

This recent defeat is case in point, it essentially sums up the conflict

Setting up a FOB with ZERO support

Good lord

The recent slaughter of the enemy in yobe shows the enemy is all media and no substance.

Overrunning an FOB in the desert is nothing.

[size=16pt]

Cuba and Angola NEVER fought to liberate South Africa, they fought to free Angola. Did Cuban army and MPLA fly jets or drive tanks into Pretoria, Soweto, Johannesburg to set you Zulus-Bantu-Xhosa cowards free ? NO !

You wan.t others to fight for you, and you needed others to fight for you, why didn't your great Bantu warrior capabilities save you?

You black South Africans could not save yourselves from your white maters, you are the real cowards.

Ask the black WOMEN, I MEAN ORDINARY VILLAGE WOMEN of tiny Eritrea how they carried AK-47 rifles and fought for their freedom and independence from mighty Ethiopia and they got it.

Go ask South Sudan's black men and WOMEN carried AK-47 rifles and fought mighty Arab Sudan till they got their independence.

South African blacks, you are asking Nigeria to travel 5,000 km away from home to come fight for you when millions of Bantu men descendants of Shaka Zulu were right inside Soweto getting humiliated by Boer White masters in modern day 1990s, you needed Nigeria on world stage diplomacy to save you, so you are the last African nation to be colonized, the last because you are Africa's great COWARDS that could not save itself....lazy men, drunkards and jobless, brainless and spineless

How did you claim you were dealing with it when you and Co bragged you had the best COIN efforts on the continent? The flow of arms is nothing new.

And you don't deal with the flow of arms from Libya in a freakin desert. You deal with the EFFECTS of the flow of arms in Nigeria. That's COIN.

And no, you aren't progressive if you go from COIN to semi-conventional. You're failing and are just putting out fires.

It's more like the enemy is rolling back your own gains. They started with nothing. But you started with an entire country and army.

Nigeria's sponsorship was largely acquired from workers which was nothing compared to what other countries contributed to the struggle against apartheid. Nigeria's contribution was just a drop in an ocean.

Fatalities are par for the cause. Any other mitary wouldn't be bragging about such, but would instead be looking to brag about a victory.

What is not par for the cause is that a military base be taken over and female soldiers snatched. Any insurgent will brag about that.

That's untrue, nobody can match the work carried out by the youth of SA in fighting the chains of apartheid. Not even umkhonto we sizwe can ever match what the youth of Soweto have achieved in fighting apartheid.

How do YOU know what happened? Why should we take your word? It's not just Sahara anyway that's reporting the story. Besides, if soldiers are unaccounted for, they are unaccounted for.

Even the commander is unaccounted for.

The battle ended with the defence of the base you clown

So SANDF was ambushed outside base, how many of your men? SANDF was defending base when attacked, how many soldiers did you have? One battalion? Southies are making conflicting claims of where your army was located and if your are in the 3 different locations as claimed by different South African versions of the story, how are 80 SANDF men able to survive 1,000 seleka attackers in different locations?

You see why every intelligent person knows the Seleka story as told by South Africans is a bunch of fraud loaded lies !

Only a fool will believe South African versions.
