Not forgetting: Jacob, papalolo and aderupoko Obalende Otolo and Ojoge Ereke and Alajeju Pariolodo Thomson and Deide Ayo Feyikogbon Baba Latin Iya mi Leko Fadeyi Oloro Alabi Yellow Wunmi Yetunde Shola Smart Baba legba Omoladun kenkelewu Oloye Ajere Olalomi Lola Idije Madam shaje; abeni ajagun Iya ngbalaf Iya ofiligangan Spark the killer Now these are/were great actors and actresses who really made me sit to watch Yoruba movies in those days! I wonder what happened to actors and actresses like ; Obalende, Thomson, deide, Feyikogbon, oloye Ajere, Broke Bottle and co? These actors and actresses should be remembered for professionalism, not the present crop that are only portraying indecency, unclothedness and filth and polluting the minds of our kids |

Soooo....this is subliminally a yoruba list. Cool tho. I just know that if the tables were turned and Igbos made this kind of list we will be flooded with tribalistic insults. Let me not derail this thread sha. |

tunery004:Lol started gini? May be in western nigeria, not in the then eastern nigeria, besides Nollywood was started by Kenneth Okonkwo (Living In Bondage) when we talk of nollywood credit should be given to the pioneer Andy Okonkwo and no other person. |

Awwww Op, this is nice. I think we have been blessed with many great actors/actresses n they should be celebrated. I love our movies a lot so I know nearly all of them, except a few in d yoruba genre. I hope govt can help combat piracy so d industry can really grow. My humble submission |

CaptainOjemba: Kenneth Okonkwo is already on my list brothers, they started late 80s/early 90s. They brought some powerful movies like; Living in Bondage When the sun set Evil Passion Deadly Passion Obsession Shame Dead End Just at Night Compromise Glamour girls and so on... But when movies were theatred, stage played in the 60s or 70s, people like Herbert Ogunde, Professor Peller, Baba Sala, I show pepper, Adelove, started it before advancing technololgically to home videos in the 80s. You Google search bro. 3 Likes |
