1.What makes a free verse different from other styles of poetry?

-A free verse doesn't have a meter and doesn't rhyme.
-A poet makes up his rules for the poem unlike other styles of poetry in which you need to follow specific rules in order for it to be considered as such poem.
-Without set rules, you're free to decide how many lines and stanzas your poems will have.

2.What is a stanza in poetry?

A stanza is a division of poem consisting of two or more lines arranged as a unit which may follow a rhythmical pattern and metre.

3.Explain how stanza arrangements will make your poem better.

A poem without stanzas becomes a prose,because stanzas are building blocks of poetry. The arrangements of poetry does a lot in making your poem look appealing and more understandable.Thus stanzas helps the reader to decipher the type of poem and also gives the poem a shape.

4.Write a poem in free verse on free verse, with title 'free verse '




Free Verse

I could scribble about my life,
Without fear of meter and rhymes,
I have got the power,
Over stress and syllables.

Freedom to express my thoughts,
Without measuring with a tape,
Freedom to make my own rules,
And play tennis without a net.

I could add a stanza,
To Shakespeare's sonnet,
And maneuver a haiku,
To make out a Tanka.

So watch as my pen dances,
With glee and gusto,
As it wraps itself,
In the aura of free verse.

You got 14 in the first one because you said free verse doesn't rhyme. Free verse could rhyme, its just not compulsory.
