I'll be really disappointed in Messi if all I hear of him about a possible revolt against Enrique all because he sat him down on the bench in a match we later lost, is afterall a truth. I'll say he's disobedient because he's got to respect the decisions of the boss. This night Ronaldo is going to sit on the bench against Atletico-yes Atletico- and all hell won't be let lose. It's not as if Messi was singled out and benched. Neymar and Alves all sat on the bench. I know he's special but a lot of people look up to him for good manners. grin grin grin
And how are you sure that Lucho with all his strong head and high mindedness is not the one causing the rift? It couldn't have just started on that night. I no trust that our oga at all. Every coach respects and treats his star player with care. If the club is to choose between The coach and her best player......

I guess if it's at Barça now that Ronaldo was benched and we lost 2 nil against our arch rival, all hell will let loose tonight!

For me, Messi attitudes have been very unbecoming of a world best player! He portrayed a very selfish personality to project his narrow interest ahead of the rest to the detriment of the club he claims to love. He is supposedly well aware of the Instutional crisis Barca is going through and all he could do as a club captain is to add to the problem. He's setting a bad precedent and making the work of the present and future coaches of Barca all the more difficult, whilst he remains at the club, that is! undecided cry

I will only agree with your comment if it is correct...
Roma was a joke when Luis Enrique was coach..I can remember a team that still was relegated which masterfully whipped him 4-0.
He couldn't motivate his players to follow his ideas or rather, his ideas were so silly that following it made the players start to doubt themselves.....
Enrique focuses more being loved by every of his player, than he focuses on achieving desired results nor playing football as it should...
Secondly, you saying that Enrique set the part for how Roma is today is totally thoughtless of you and unfounded.. The nigga saw that he couldn't even direct nor lead nor motivate the players to give their best again, and he left.. He was not even sacked!!
So stop peddling your lies bro!

In addition, Roma had 2 more coaches after Enrique the failure. I don't see the logic behind attributing Garcias achievements to Enrique when he had 2 coaches following his own abysmal tenure at the helms. Let me not even talk about Celta for now.

What is happening is that the 'authorities' on this thread who so willy nillyingly supported the signing of this dud and his selling of Cesc and Alexis are beginning to eat their words with 2 plates of humble pie. That's why all this faux-laden achievements are being listed for Enrique- a man who was only employed because of his reputation as an ex-Barca player.

All I am saying in essence is that he should have taken the situation well in the interest of peace. He's still a football player under a coach afterall and so he's got to be a humble guy and accept some situations even if they aren't favourable to him, in the interest of peace and harmony in the team. Or don't you know this attitude of his has unsettled the team?

Of course Enrique takes care of his best players especial Messi. I guess this is the first time he's not started a league match this season despite the various rotations Enrique has used this season. All those rotations hadn't included him! And just once he tried it, all hell let loose.

Also if allowing Messi an extended holiday during this xmas, is not a way of taking care of your best players, then I don't know what is!

From winning 22 matches consecutively to losing 3 in a row. It's definitely going to be a cold night in hell.

Our next liga match is against Atletico, though.

But how then are you sure the sickness was non-existent? Lucho's policy with injured players has always been that, even in off-days, you would be mandated to train alone at the Cuitat. And Messi did just that yesterday being Tuesday. He went to the Esportiva and trained there alone. Does that not prove to an extent that he wasn't really alright the previous day as he claimed?

My point? Don't run into some unnecessary conclusions here. You don't know for sure if it really hampered him or not. So I'd rather you don't take a shot in the dark.

Comparing apples and oranges!
A . Madrid did not also start with their best players! Madrid can afford to bench Cr7 because they have a well oiled team! which can cope very well in his absence!
the same can't be said of barcelona!

Of course it is easy to feign some bout of flu have affected you rather than claiming you're injured. The later can easily be verified. That's just common sense. I'm very certain he staged those sickness.

He might as well want out; he's human. But Luis Enrique is the cause of all this ish and you seem not to be seeing it. No cule wants Messi to leave but believe me life will continue if he does

There's nothing special about lucho

Well in the evidence of tonight's, did this "well oiled" team cope excellently without him?

I cannot compare with Atletico because they are neither in the calibre of Real nor of Barcelona.

Even if ancelloti benches the entire first team of Real, they're coming from the back of a successful 2014, but I'm sure they'll still complain if results go against them

Well, that's what we all said about Martino and that's what we'll say about the next coach after Enrique, while the impunity Messi is turning himself into, continues to deteriorate.

At least you can see a little sense in ancelloti's benching of cr7; the match is a cup tie with a 2nd leg at the bernabeau. It's not like it's the copa final

even with the Cr7 they haven't won them in their last 3 games!
Pedro+Munir+Suarez = 5 la liga goals! 5 freaking 5!
Bale alone =7, Benzema =8! I hope you now see the difference!

You seem not to get it. Who do you think the fans will see as the greater of two evils between Messi and lucho?

Let Messi publicly criticize the coach and slap him on the pitch, the fans will still have his back

Exactly! even if they don't get any trophy at the end of the season, they'll still be a little drunk about their 2014 campaign!

And neither was Real Sociedad match a league final or some sort...

It was the same Messi that played 90 minutes against lowly Getafe and we fired blank! What's even the guarantee that we won't have lost that match anyway even if Messi had started? Our away form have been rather poor and Messi has done nothing to change all that.

If Messi don't change this "eze onye agwana m" attitude, then it would be difficult for subsequent coaches to coach us. No player can be bigger than the club. grin
