[size=16pt]We Nigerians don't idolize human beings or any mortal man, they live they die, where is Mandela today?

After all his labor on earth with all the praise of people, millions of blacks in South Africa still live wasted lives, poverty, HIV, murder, r.ape, insecurity, joblessness, dependence on government free food and housing.....Mandela did NOT inspire over 20 million black South Africans to rise up, seek good education, work hard and get paid wages for their sweat, live peacefully, value the life of their neighbor and not murder him or rob him, value the bodies of women in the nation and not r.ape them...why has Mandela not inspired these millions of people?

You Southies turn Mandela into a god and almost worship a mortal man, sorry we don't do that in Nigeria.

We have more than one hero but we don't idolize and worship mortal men. All we do is appreciate them, value them, thank them.

Zik of Africa fought for independence of many African nations .

Awolowo collected our lands, industry, economy by force from the British and gave it to Nigerians.

Obasanjo led our fight against Apartheid in South Africa and took on British Prime Minister Thatcher head to head.

Obasanjo personally led Nigerian army to save Congo Kinshasa in war time.

Obasanjo ordered Nigerian army to stop genocide and mass r.ape of blacks in Dafur Sudan.

Babangida sent Nigerian army to stop tribal genocide and mutilation/cutting off arms of living people in Liberia and Sierra Leone and end years of war.

The Europeans and Americans like Mandela and hype his name because he did not collect all the lands, minerals, cash, real estate, and economic resources from the South African whites and give it to blacks as Mugabe did, so Mandela is hero, Mugabe is bad man.

Did you see Asians hype Mandela? No. They saw nothing special in a man fighting to free his own people at home, NOT the people of another nation.

What has Mandela done for Africa as a whole?

Nothing !

Mandela is a local hero overhyped by the whites for not seeking revenge for the atrocities committed by whites on millions of blacks, your ancestors gold is still in the hands of white Oppenheimer family today in South Africa, they robbed your fathers are still robbing you their children !

Mandela did NOT nationalize any British assets and give it to black entrepreneurs.

Awolowo as finance minister did it in Nigeria and Britain made him look villain for ever and made sure he never became Nigeria's president for changing British petroleum to African petroleum and seizing all other British assets by force, giving them to black Nigerians.

Hype and overhype Mandela and idolize and worship him as much as you want, South Africa is a nation that have never seen a half-hero before in their Apartheid wasted and bastardized life times, so when you see one, you all go gaga !

you really do not understand the heart of a nigerian man. We don't do hero worship. And nevertheless your stupid mandela only saved himself out of prison with the help of Nigeria and others. The real apartheid battle could never have being fought in prison by mandela. It was fought in summits, convention, meeting and assemblies by a team of nigerian diplomat led by our famed diplomat and soldier, a once sitting president of the general assembly, and also once a president of the UNSC the man major general Joseph nanvem Garba. This man as a nigerian foreign minister did more for the freedom of south Africa than your overhyped nelson mandela. Nelson mandela was just the symbol of that freedom. If we want to worship heroes we ll worship those that contributed to the freedom of other African countries not a delusional jail bird that could only by his oppressed black country men a false freedom. You claimed we wanted you people to fight with the whites and i say no, we never wanted that. All we wanted was justice to be served, many Africans still regard mandela as a fraud because when the time came for him to stand for the interest of the oppressed black he still reneged and allowed the whites to retain control of the resources of south Africa. The freedom he claimed he bought for you blacks only translated to freedom of movement, association and worship.

Nigerians Own Africa. They are in more places in Africa than citizens of any other African country can boast of. They will go wherever they deem fit regardless of whatever you think. Mandela used black south Africa as a bargaining chip to buy himself freedom. No matter how much you celebrate him, he still remains a fraud. The whites wont elk you that, because he was a hero to them too. He helped them retain ownership of the mines and other properties.

i do not expect a common military enthusiast like you to understand the intricacies involved in foreign policy making. I have watched you distort history, upturn facts and make fictitious claims but my best advice to you is that you stay away from the grounds of foreign policy analysis.
Nigeria owes no obligation to anyone in the making of her foreign policy. She acted in her interest and only time will tell why this was.

Then why would you even bother to post about something on a military forum, which you don't expect military enthusiast to understand?
Man, why conclude that I won't understand something and then go on to explain it? That's insanity. You are just hurt that you

Best interests, you say? Yeah, when a coward runs, he is acting in his best interests. Not on principle. Cowards know nothing
about principle. They just want to be safe, which is in their best interest. Up until that call from Netanyahu to Jonathan,
Nigeria was expected to vote for Palestine, as it has always been known to be with Palestine. But no, because Israel has
attempted to keep the cowards of Nigeria safe from Boko Haram, the cowards threw principle out the window and went in
with Israel and the US. Even abstain, did the cowards.

No ability for them to think on their own, since they can't defeat Boko Haram on their own. Saved the US from having to veto,
they did. The same US that is putting them to the sword on oil and such. What a loser nation. Cowards like no one has ever seen
before. They stood on the edge of change and chickened out.

Talking of Denzel Washington and South Africa have you monkeys seen that movie Safehouse? It shows the true reality of SA, the whites run the show, they only spoke Xhosa/Zulu for about 10 seconds in the whole film but it had a full afrikaans section and the blacks were only shown when they went to the dirty Soweto shack city and when they were in the streets protesting about their pathetic lives under the rule of their white masters. Very realistic movie I recommend it to everyone here.

Nigeria couldn't even make a SINGLE movie about a UNIVERSAL hero. Not a single book could be written. Not a single Nigerian soldier could be motivated to die for Nigeria based on what heroes gone by have done. Nigerians only know cowardice and running from principle. Which is why they could sell fellow Africans into slavery, sell out Palestine, breed soldiers that run from Boko Haram...

Yet, South Africa is spoilt or choice. Heroes galore.

WTF! Did you just say movies? Anybody can be made a hero in the movie. We do not immortalise our heroes with movies and songs, they immortalise themselves by their works. Cmon now mate. When you said movies about our heroes do you mean just like the way you snap pictures of your special forces creeping around malls and parking lots at peace time, pretending to be movie grade commandos? And mind you Mr man. Mandela is not a universal heroe he is just a political figure representing the poor and presently oppressed and sideline blacks of south Africa. Mandela barely saved himself so why will he be a universal hero. For all we know mandela could have svcked the d1ck of one of his prison guards while in prison, so is this the man you call a universal hero? Mandela is a joke.

No movie COULD BE WRITTEN ABOUT a Nigerian hero cause there's none. You become a hero, then the stories and movies and books follow. You have no one to immortalise. Absolutely no one. The world could have immortalised your heroes for you, if you had some, but that simply can't be done. If you inspire generations, you will be immortalised. But Nigeria inspires no one.

Nigerians don't have heroism in their genes. Only cowardice. The green and white is a flag of cowards. There's a reason why Nigerian soldiers run from the enemy. They never saw any Nigerian being courageous to the point of inspiring the world.

Power supply drops to 2,880MW
January 8, 2015 by ‘Femi Asu 19 Comments

Power supply from the national grid to households and businesses in the country tumbled below 3,000 megawatts on Tuesday, almost a month after it dropped to 2,954.52MW before rebounding.

Power generation fell to 2,948.45MW on Tuesday, while 2,880.31MW was sent out, according to data obtained from the Presidential Task Force on Power on Wednesday.

The downturn in power generation was attributed to the sabotage of the Trans Forcados Pipeline on Sunday, January 4, 2015.

Power generation on the day fell to 3,415.21MW, while 3,314.99MW was sent out, according to the Federal Ministry of Power.

The quantum of electricity available for distribution to various classes of consumers as of December 29, 2014 was 4,112.29MW out of the 4,389.7MW generated, but this fell to 3,415.21MW on Sunday, according to the ministry.

The Special Adviser on Gas to the Minister of Power, Mr. Frank Edozie, in a telephone interview with our correspondent, said, “The reason power supply is down is that there is not enough gas and the reason there is not enough gas is because of sabotage of gas pipelines.

“The pipelines have been regularly vandalised in the last few months. The Trans Forcados Pipeline has been down. The last incident occurred on Sunday. The previous one was last Wednesday. The pipeline was fixed and as it was about to be commissioned, it was vandalised again at various points.”

The country achieved the highest peak generation of 4,517.6 MW of electricity on December 23, 2012.

Respondents in the latest governance poll conducted by NOIPolls for the month of December 2014 rated President Goodluck Jonathan poorly in terms of power supply.

the definition of heroism is very clear. Mandela is not a universal hero. He is just a celebrated political figure that represent the black struggle in south Africa. His career almost ended when he was thrown in prison but with pressure from countries like Nigeria on the apartheid regime. He was released and quickly flew to Nigeria to say thank you.
Excerpts from the transcript of the conversation between mandela and the nigerian head of state on the occasion of his visit to Nigeria.
mandela sir i came to say thank you for your constant visit and support to me while i was in prison, the homemade nigerian delicacies you brought for me during each of your visits were delicious i am also here to thank you for helping to free me from that disgusting prison. I am really happy sir and i would like to tell you that i am unwilling to go back to south Africa. I like it here sir. Your people are free to move around, they are happy and could you believe it? The jet i entered was driven by a black nigerian pilot, up until now i never knew a black man could fly a plane, back in south Africa black men are not even allowed to ride a bicycle. Pls sir don't let me go back to that acursed place, i like it here. Just give me a piece of land let me start a farm, i saw some beautiful nigerian ladies on my way i can pick one of them and change my name to Nelson oluwabumi Dela, but please sir anything you do. don't send me back to south Africa.
reply from the nigerian HOS lol. Mandela why are you crying like a biatch! Sit up and let me read out the nigerian agenda for south Africa to you. Nelson mandela as much as we would like to naturalize you in our country, we as a country Nigeria cannot just sit back and watch the injustice being played out on the blacks in south Africa. We believe we have a Godgiven responsibility to ensure that the whole of the black race is free from all forms of oppression by reason of our size and might. Mandela you must go back to south Africa, you must sing to them the message of hope, tell them that their rich black friends are with them, tell them that we will never sleep till the shackles of apartheid is taken away from every square inch of south Africa and the whole of Africa. Mandela go back home we re watching you. Now here are so condoms pls take it, cus we wont like to work with an HIV infected freedom fighter.

The definition of heroism is what you DO NOT HAVE in Nigeria. You could not point to a single woman or man and say, yes, this is a UNIVERSAL hero that inspired to world across generations and ages.

No matter how you slice and dice it, you do not have that. Never will there ever be a Nigerian the world will talk about like they talk about South Africa's MANY heroes and heroins.

Warriors indeed..

That's all you are good for as a Nigerian. When nations rise up and talk about their heroes, a Nigerian has nothing to talk about. so he doesnt rise but instead, he sinks lower into the mud. The symptoms of being the son of fathers who never had any heart or balls. A ghanaian screams "Nkruma" and rises up. A nigerian shrinks into the mud and plays there.

So many heroes South Africa has, no page could be long enough for us to list all of them. What does nigeria have? Cowardice and emptiness. Our identity as a nation comes from centuries of history of heroism. Our values and principles were sharpened and refined over centuries. Nigeria has no identity. It is lost. A lost ship drifting aimlessly at sea. And then you expect your soldiers to die bravely? Die for what?

Please, am here with peace, ur free to attack my post not my integrity. Nigeria has produce a lot of heroes that made the heart of Africa the Giant of black Nation. As I am too proud of my self, I won't go into details, But ur free to challenge the definition of Heroism.. There was a king which is more of an important figure than any man of the 19/20th century any Afrikaan ever produced. King JaJa of Opobo:- the most important man in modern Afrika. (Cookey 1974). Most powerful Afrikan figure (Rotimi and Ogen 2008).. Awarded the sword of honor 1875 by queen Victoria. He was the most popular man in Africa even until the Nigeria independence, he was praised for his courage

Nana Olomu:- Richest man on The continent, respected for fighting for the political sovereignty of his people, and uniting victims of slave trade, and among those who created the Freetown, Sierra Leone (Oginni 1971)

See this is exactly my point. You talk to a Nigerian about heroism and they tell you about riches. You talk to them about universal heroes and they talk about local celebrities. Universal heroes inspire people across nations, generations and ages. They become legends that people draw inspiration and lessons from no matter where on the planet they are from. Abraham Lincoln. Che Guevara. Pure inspiration. No Nigerian ever did that. Least of all the people that you list. Man, you wanna talk about someone who was colonised by queen victoria and then awarded a sword of honour as a colonial subject? lipsrsealed Only a Nigerian would honour cowardice like that. That's why the people that you praise are not universal heroes. You all produce cowards.
