Well..In as much as I want to say quite a lot, I will try to make it short as possible as I can.
I watched the presidential flag off yesterday and saw the president spoke. I must say from the few lines I can remember, they were very poor and lacked articulation from a president on campaign as I still did not see that campaign emphasis like this is what we have done, this is where we are and this is where we are going in his speech, it is not about attacking the opposing political party, well maybe some of our politicians are either not educated enough or they just lack how-to-campaign-education.

In his words "I know Nigeria does not belong to old men like us, because I know we have failed already". What the president is trying to let us know is that he has spent 6years in office and he has failed us, so giving him another 4years MAY BE an opportunity to make it right. The question is, why will I give an opportunity to a self proclaimed failure who has perceived himself as a failure to rule me for another 4years, definitely if after 4years, the situation is still status quo or gone worse, I should not ask him why and can't hold him responsible if he fails because from the on-set he said he was a failure and didn't give any clue or hope of how to even succeed or improve on the present situation.

"I apologise to the workers who were not paid december salaries, what happened is that some govt ministries' officials tried to act corrupt by adding up some funds to the regular salaries but in the process due to how scientific the IP system(which automatically pays salaries) works, it brought up a red light and shut down, so now we are deviating to another new system in order to avoid these corrupt people so they will not steal your money". Now he gave credit to himself because deep down he felt like he had curbed that corrupt practice from that end. In my own take, I think its obvious our president runs away from tackling and facing some problems squarely, if the system had made this attempt, why not trace these govt officials, investigate the incidence and actions, and bring some culprits to book, that sends a strong msg to the whole country that you are fighting corruption. In an ideal situation and country, its very simple, if you are corrupt and caught, you will go to jail, automatically your subordinates will not make such attempt in future..it will send a strong message to the whole nation and that oga no take nonsense..and to a large extent pple would have a self consciousness in their minds that if I steal na jail, trust me it will go a long way in changing peoples' minds.

That's just the few two points I would like to discuss, there are still some I remember vividly but I do not want to bore the readers, let's say thats it for now. From my analysis of the speech again, it was quite unlike GEJ, he spoke out of anger, out of reaction and out of emotion and I think a little desperation in his countenance, it may not be enough to just read manuscripts online, because some times a writer has a perception, so I can advise that before giving an analysis or passing judgment or nailing Buhari or Jonathan, kindly go online and watch the video, it is just about 30mins - 40mins, carefully observe and pass your comments. I hope we will choose our leaders rightly by not being sentimental, its not by age, or by ethnicity, or by education level if I may say..it is by having a well articulated ideas/solutions and clearly cut out vision. I hope we can get it right his time around.
God bless!

Clear points

If Buhari fought corruption. .... how come we still have corruption with us.

The permanent fight against corruption is creating the right institutions and systems to make corruption impossible like GEJ has done with the e-wallet system for fertiliser scam, biometric register for ghost workers, pension reforms for pension scam etc

How many jails can accommodate corrupt Nigerians. ... we would have to borrow more jails as an average Nigerian is corrupt. To what end is jailing effective? How much has it worked in the past?
GEJ in his effort to fight corruption pardon a convicted corrupt fellow who embezzled billions of you and my children's future, billions of dollars....he then made it possible for the criminal to contest for 2015 senatorial elections... So long as Alameysia works free, the Ghost of those who died of starvation, road accident, generator spoke would forever hunt GEJ.....
And lets not forget....Stella Odua and Alison Madueke are good friends of GEJ,

Did you notice where the president echoed his military aide when he said 300 years in helping him to complete a speech? I saw in that spot why they call this man kindergarten president. No wonder he listened to beer parlor gists the girls were not kidnapped.until kid Malala slapped senses into him. Nigeria has now been confirmed the Lilliput of Africa under Jonathan. Anybody who took Jonathan serious after his show yesterday needs a neurologist.

In this day and age, the world over. What right does Goodluck Jonathan have to direct INEC? Especially in line with who & who is eligible to vote. His statement that he directed INEC, (note not advised INEC), leaves much to be desired. This is a clear indication of how much he mis understands the laws that grants INEC independence in carrying out its duties. INEC is an independent body, with full constitutional backing and unambiguous guidelines on how to carry out its functions. Goodluck Jonathan has no right what so ever to give INEC directives. The statement brings to bear the overwhelming influence that Goodluck Jonathan intends to wield in the on coming elections. Note also that such influences are the recipes for violence.

Does this not mean that he can also DIRECT inec to rig the elections? Nna na word you expose up here o.

What I know is GEJ till February 2015, GMB afterwards.

If it takes Buhari to solve corruption in Nigeria, then i will be glad if he builds more prisons for corrupt leaders.

Imagine a country where you pay 750k for a job of 60k/month. Don't ask me, that is what my cousin paid to secure a FG job in Abuja not minding she passed the test and interview.

A country where policemen openly collects money from motorists. Take a trip from PH to Enugu in a commercial bus, you will understand what I mean.

China has zero tolerance for corruption, why do we celebrate corruption in GEJ's administration?

Reuben and Omokri will declare our prison open by February 2015.

Buhari, welcome to Aso rock.
is it today all this has been happening? Mumu

okay for instance
OCT 1st bombing....GEJ immediately gave a speech saying its not MEND, that they are his brothers....
JAn 8....GEJ is now saying MEND tried to kill him

GEJ told the whole world that stealing is not corruption....
GEJ told the whole world that $20bn cant go missing because its Americas money

please get it in your head. There were so many flaws in his flag off speech yesterday, if time would permit me I could start listing and anaylzing them one after the other, but my aim is not even to insult the president or his supporters, my intention is just for everyone to put on their thinking caps and reason, leave out sentiments and whatever attachment we have with GEJ and just think if its worth continuing with the present administration..for example in the agricultural sector, he has done very well and some other areas too, bur the basic one we can't afford for it to be left behind which is the safety of human lives and properties, that's the first and primary duty of any reasonable govt, so its obvious that the cons do outweighs the pros..let's purge out the fear of how would Buhari do? We can't be very sure until he occupies office..so I feel that's enough justification to do the right thing.

Buhari is not good at public speaking, infact both if them are bad at that......but Buhari is talks like someone sure of what he is saying. GEJ on the other hand talks without thinking
okay for instance
OCT 1st bombing....GEJ immediately gave a speech saying its not MEND, that they are his brothers....
JAn 8....GEJ is now saying MEND tried to kill him

GEJ told the whole world that stealing is not corruption....
GEJ told the whole world that $20bn cant go missing because its Americas money
Jezuz christ......This man dumbness is enough to impeach him but in a country of blind people, a dumb man rules

Firstly with the bold part, I now understand why you support Buhari, secondly Buhari also talks without thinking, he said he will stabilize world oil prize, Abacha is not a thief, my bro d list goes on.

GeJ 2015.
