Obiagelli:Do you mean the "Opposition" or "Nigeria"? What "upper hand" do you want the Military to have when the "Government is On-top" and the "Opposition is firing-below"? I dont think you understand what you just typed Sis. We are just playing politics with Nigerians. 2 Likes |

People will just compare apple and orange just to nail GEJ. We are talking about French army against 3 individuals who they know where they are. For the records, Boko haram first attack was in 2002, if OBJ who was the president then had done what the french did, we wouldn't have been in the situation we are in now. You don't allow extremists to get a foothold in a country because even if Shakau is killed today, another leader will emerge tomorrow. NB: There was nowhere any French politician was recommending amnesty for the 3 idiots, we know who and who advocated for amnesty for boko haram and who are opposing state of emergency. 7 Likes 1 Share |

@Obiageill. I think the entire forum get your point and it is only shamelessly ethnocentric and religiously prejudiced posters who would pretend not to understand what is terribly obvious and indicative of why GEJ should have been booted out ages ago , because of his failings which has cost over 15,000 Nigerian lives directly, and not even afforded the privilege of contesting an election. 12 deaths caused the deployment of over 80,000 security operatives in France yet 2,000 Nigerians have died in the past week with our President, rather than address Nigeria over this terrible development, only interested in going around lying horribly and contradicting himself at campaign rallies in pursuit of 4 more 'looting' years. Our President is callous, inept and irresponsible. We all know this yet worse is that he has fans willing to make excuses for his horrendous failure causing the daily death of many innocent Nigerians. These foolish 'herded goats' cannot understand that it hurts Nigerians to see responses such as that the world witnessed France pull off to bring three killers to book within two days of their murderous acts. Till today the mythical "Chima Orlu" and "Ben Jessy" appear to have disappeared into thin air after "committing" the Abuja Independence day bombing several years ago which killed Nigerians. Ogwuche, the suspected mastermind of the Nyanya bombing, has recently been declared not guilty by a Nigerian Court. Senator Ndume is walking around freely when he should have remained in jail on remand, as is the case worldwide, while his court case for sponsoring/abetting terrorism would then be quickly prosecuted instead of being buried systematically as we see going on today. Nigerians, daily, must watch so much shameless support for corruption and terrorism by the GEJ government. Yet some have the nerve to come here and attempt blaming others for the glaring failing of GEJ. Some Nigerians are just the worst example in the world of people who worship their oppressors and tormentors. No doubt that sensible Nigerians, who I know are in the majority, will boot out this horrid President so that what is reported below can quickly become a thing of the past and a sad indictment of what happens when a people embrace sentiments, prejudice and religious/ethnic bias when choosing leaders. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/jan/09/boko-haram-deadliest-massacre-baga-nigeria Boko Haram's 'deadliest massacre': 2,000 feared dead in Nigeria 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Obiagelli:you seems not to understand me. Could it be as a result of your hatred for the President? You are just shying away from the truth. We are know the happenings here so we are well informed. If the opposition has stood with the Government of the day and not crucify him on the cross of Ethnicity and Religion. "If people could come from France, US and UK to fight on the side of ISIL, what wont the likes of YOU from South do to support and sympathised with BH" all because the man from Otuoke is has a religio-ethnic view different from the Opposition. 3 Likes |

Obiagelli: This publication was before 2011 presidential election 'Hold Buhari Responsible for Political Violence’ By Chuks Okocha 12 Mar 2011 Muhammadu Buhari , CPC Presidential Candidate Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential Campaign Council Friday blamed the destruction of party’s offices, billboards and other campaign paraphernalia across the country on the Congress for Progressive Change’s Presidential Candidate, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari[rtd]. A statement signed by the Council’s Director of Media, Mallam Abba Dabo said the violence against PDP members were a deliberate act of anarchy and “a direct consequence of Buhari’s repeated call for violence,” adding that it is an act of provocation against its law abiding supporters. The PDP said if the acts of vandalism were not halted, “it could herald series of destructive violence nationwide, for which Buhari will be held responsible for unleashing.” “The CPC Presidential Candidate at every opportunity has spared no time in urging his supporters to take the law into their hands, a reason why everywhere he goes, his campaigns have been trailed by anarchy and mayhem. We call on the security to fully investigate the immediate and remote causes and bring to book anyone involved, no matter his position. “Buhari’s recent apology for the actions of his unruly supporters is admission of his guilt and complicity in the series of pre-meditated attacks on our supporters,” the PDP campaign spokesman said. Daboh, while committing the party’s determination to a free, fair and crises-free election in April, added, “we cannot continue to fold our arms as our supporters are continually assaulted.” http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/-hold-buhari-responsible-for-political-violence-/87707/ Then after 2011 presidential election came these rampages 3 Likes 1 Share |

Ngwakwe: 19 April 2011 Last updated at 10:53 Thousands of people have fled their homes in northern Nigeria after clashes following the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan. In some towns, residents slept in police stations for safety and the Red Cross says there have been significant numbers of casualties. President Jonathan appealed for an end to the violence and killing, while imposing a curfew. In a statement to journalists, the runner-up in the election, General Muhammadu Buhari, condemned the violence. www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-13126839 |

Vikkie14: Did the opposition hold the government at gun point forcing it not to proceed with the onslaught? When the government stopped fighting and told us all that they had reached a cease fire agreement with Boko Haram, was it the opposition that was remote controlling them? Opposition didn't have any power of force nor ammunitions to fight, ( if they did, maybe they'd have done a better job), the responsibility and authority for this was with the governemt and at every turn they keep shirking. From denial of the abduction of chibok girls, the illusion that they'd had the insurgents floored in weeks. They kept over estimating and under estimating. Never efficient, never effective. Is the opposition to blame for these? To most Nigerians, the opposition has played its role nicely. If everyone was pro PDP, bomb will be dropping while the News stations would be showing smiling governemt officials getting fatter and having "family affair" meeting. |

Ngwakwe: What greater illustration of your prejudiced and bigoted nature other than this pathetic post you make about Buhari when the subject matter is the failure of the President and C-in-C of Nigeria i.e GEJ? The central point of Obiagelli's post is that Nigerians can only watch enviously as France moved quickly and without any compromise to rid the street of three vicious killers and secure justice for 12 innocent people who were gunned down. Jonathan does nothing but supervise the death of innocent Nigerians through is inaction, ineptitude and anti-people callousness. We know bigots like you will perpetually mention Buhari in the hope GEJ can look good by default yet Nigerians are now wise enough to know that Mr.President's failing belongs to him and him alone. He will be voted out for this reason. 1 Like |

Obiagelli: You don't edit my word, I said, the first Boko haram attack was in 2002! that was 7 years before GEJ even became the acting president.. If OBJ government had taken charge and not allow things to deteriorate to this level, we won't be having this problem. Now we have the likes of OBJ proffering solutions. And remember who allowed some Northern state to implement Sharia, these are the root cause of what we are experiencing and it will more than deployment of troops to curtail. 2 Likes |

Obiagelli: Oby, let me first of all say those two scenarios are largely incomparable. What do I mean? Please consider the following; 1. While the Charlie Hebdo incident took off as an outright offensive onslaught (hostage-for-relevance terror) Boko Haram did not not start on volatility note. In other words, It metamorphosed from a peaceful religious movement to the hydra-headed form it's today and that explained why spontaneous deploring of troops would not have been visible at the onset. No civilian government can deplore troops to quell unrest in any part of Nigeria without considering multifarious factors such as politics, religion and socio-cultural diversities. 2. Cast your mind back to the Russian hostage of 2004. That event was a replica(in fact carbon copy) of the Chibok abduction and that's why it amuses me when people blame the FG for foot dragging on forceful rescue of the girls. In that incident, a Russian public school was invaded by anti-Russian dissidents and more than 600 pupils and parents were held hostage. After series of unsuccessful negotiations, the Russian authority considered the hostage as an affront on their territorial integrity and decided to invade the school with highly trained commandos. Oby, what was the outcome? MORE THAN 300 PUPILS LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE ENSUING CROSSFIRE even though almost all the invaders were killed. Please Google the word; SCHOOL NUMBER ONE RUSSIAN HOSTAGE, 2004 and take time to dissect the encapsulated events. So, coming back to your question, the above two scenerios point to why we should not go all out to give Jonathan blanket bashing for inability to tame Boko haram and release the girls. An haphazardly executed onslaught against Boko haram can result in massive collateral damage, the outcome of which Jonathan's govt may not survive. 2 Likes |
