My thought was that we retained an experienced left back. Although it looks like it was Carrick who gave the ball away for the goal, I would say with experienced men we could have defended better.

I think Shaw and Blind should have just swapped positions. Then Rooney to striking position while Di Maria drops to midfield. At least he would have been protected by Blind and Shaw.

I think Gaal wants Shaw to fight for only LWB. The left back might just have been reserved for Rojo and Blind.

We lost in a bid to play better than we were doing. Herrera and Blackett were to help us string passes better, but I didn't think they helped our game.

I don't have much to say. A draw would have been okay.

Has been clear Rafael and Shaw are not wingbacks. He paired Di maria and RvP though but why sub RvP when Falcao isn't available.

Exactly my point. We should go back to back four where they`ll thrive.
Di Maria wouldn`t stay upfront because he isn`t a striker. RVP got isolated because of that.
