A typical APC politician believes propaganda is everything. They assume every Nigerian is dumb and once they throw numbers out... gullible Nigerians will run with it. $541M aircrafts in 1984, when they argued Nigeria was broke.... Why are these APC people very stupid. The average price of a regular combat aircraft in 1984 was about $15M http://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraft/detail.asp?aircraft_id=281 With this useless info, Abike wants Nigerians to believe that Buhari purchased 36 aircrafts in 20 months in a period where Nigerians had to queue to buy common articles and commodities because of the toughness of the economy. This is just the height of stupidity by these evil APC charlatans I seriously pity Nigeria should APC ever get into power. Things will get ugly so quickly 12 Likes |

From the comments I have seen so far, It's a shame most Nigerians are this slow. Believing all what they see because it has a picture attached to it. It's a shame most Nigerians don't have the thinking ability on their own. I weep for my generation. Am neither a PDP fan nor and APC fan boy. Pathetic and Shameful. Product of failed education system 11 Likes |

Nigeria's neighbours are friendly countries; so why purchase too much arms? To fight and kill Boko Haram people? Are they not humans? Their sin is that they want a country ruled with sharia codes Is that a sin? No. 12 far northern states adopted such sharia codes in 2000. Those states effectively drew the border between their new country and rest of Nigeria. Witness the mammoth crowd that welcomes Boko Haram fighters into any town they conquer. 1 Like |

I don't know if the figures are true or not but one thing is clear, a military general will always spend more on defense and military arms than a civilian government. It would be dumb to suggest that Buhari never bought a rifle or equipped the military when we all know that the military back then was 10 times as strong as it is now. 2 Likes |

NavierStokes: The figures on the right are not numbers of weapons but dollar amounts. Nigeria was indeed spending billions on defence in 1982, 1983, 84 and 85.. Let me give you an IQ test. How came Nigeria was able to spend more than $900million on defence in 1984 when oil was just $35 but could not even spend $300million last year when oil was $120 a barrel?. 3 Likes |
