There are lot of them in the US that show up at the yearly Zumunta Association parties.
We organize our parties in different states so we get an opportunity to mingle if you want to. grin

I'm 100% sure you have not heard of a hausa/fulani being hanged for drug trafficking in Malaysia/UK/US or anywhere for that matter, we know those who bring disrepute to Nigeria and get deported every other day.

Err, I think a lot of ya folks out here are either part of Nigerian elites, or diplomats. They're not just ya typical lousy Nigerians. However, the guys are weed heads though. grin

Most of my uni friends are hausa /fulani but again, most are international students which substantiates the OPs claim.
It's true that they lead a simple lifestyle and are well loaded. I guess they are very patriotic hence regard Nigeria as home nonetheless.
Yorubas in diaspora are only patriotic with their mouth. Classic example is my mother. grin

Simple: They're local champions that thrive in lawlessness and disorder, the kind seen in Nigeria. They get claustrophobic in organized societies with actual laws and regulations so they don't bother making the trip. Countries like Yemen, Pakistan, and Afghanistan are more likely the places you see them vacationing to.

There are many of us in organised societies but we just aren't loud. Try not to sound so ignorant

The article gives some insight but not entirely true. Am Hausa/fulani though a Christian, however I know having lived/living in western Europe and north America, I know there are alot of hausa/fulanis comunities here.religion though play a role but very inconsequential. They stay away from overal Nigerian comunities because they are not into parties and other social vices that plagued alot of our southern brothers and sisters. Another reason, an average southerner sees an hausa or fulani person as dulard and unintelligent I experienced that alot in my church even though by far I am well more educated and than majority of them. So I I'd rather hangout with hausa Muslims than alot of some southern Christians. For instance there was a day the pastor of my church referred to boko haram as my brothers even though he has known me for over 5 years as a Christian, he still sees me more as a northerner than Christian child of God and that's very myopic even though I corrected that impression,it still hurts to be referred to as brother to Boko Haram. Don't get me wrong I have alot of southerners as confidents and friends, my fiancee is even an igbo girl.

Lol, you're very funny guy. I don't know why you're acting all defensive.

Err, if I switch from the crowd that's like the best ya region has got to offer - where would I go? To the peasants and stark illiterates? grin

I can give you a few names. The Unis they attended, and the years they finished. Just so you know I'm not chatting shiit. Heck, one of them got married a few weeks ago, and he even made NL fp. Hint: his mum is Yoruba, while his dad is Fulani and one of the top PDP guys and a serving ______ in ya region. grin

Learn to laugh more often, and stop being defensive. There's nothing bad in messing with the zoot. grin

Bia Op, when you started the epistle on hausa/fulani people abroad, I thought you would be unbiased and would have all your facts right, but nay! You chose to class all hausa/fulanis as Muslims. My dear, there are Christian Hausas and fulanis even from other African countries, just as there are catholic Indians. My Hausa/fulani relatives are scattered all over Europe, Asia, America, Australia and they have been here for donkey years. There are very many northerners here (even tribes you never heard of).
Not all hausa/fulanis are reserved or private people, not all their females are illiterate. My cousin is running her PhD program here. Many of my cousins are Christian northerners and very educated. I bet you didn't stay long abroad, else you would see the fabulous and high standard lives the "supposedly low-key" hausa/fulanis live. They can spend £1000 on a mere handbag and not bat an eyelid. They love partying (both old and young). Only a few (minute population) fall into your stated category.

Sudan has the largest Nigerian Hausa-fulani diaspora community in the world.

There are about 1 million Hausa-fulanis in Sudan, some who have even been naturalised as Sudan indigenes and arabized linguistically.
Sudan has d 4th largest Nigerian diaspora community in the world, next to Cameroon, US & UK

Lol, you chat too much air. Reminiscent of how defensive you got on the chest beating thread you created a few months. Not everyone is out to attack ya people. You might have to start messing with zoot as well, and perhaps with ice cubes cos you're not repping ya people right. grin

There's nothing wrong with Mary Jane...not sure what you're on about either, all I said was you needed to switch your crowd since such a large proportion did so much herb that you assumed you could label the whole population...I don't see any animosity in that...no hard feelings mate. Cheers.

nope cos they are only lab rats and terrorists that believe in 70 virgins when they are used as bombing puppets... nansense!!! get those mofos another country of their own... a southerner will never agree to use his or her kid for bombing all in the name of fighting for Allah...let Allah fight for himself if He is God... a southerner will never give out his 13 year old childs hand in marriage to a guy that raped her (gang rape)... stooopppiidddd mofos that should be kept in a circus with your hybrids

PS. God doesn't need mere humans to fight for Himself He will fight His battles...so STOP KILLINGS HAUSA PEOPLE!

Lol, I used to mess with zoot as well, so I was just basically talking in general.

However, when you said "switch your crowd" like that's a wrong crowd and there's something wrong with smoking - that was a tad bit condescending. It's part of life, most folks indulge in one vice or the other, but that doesn't take anything away from who they're.

No hard feelings, bruddah.
