slimmy05:Some pple don't see the need to help their relatives. An uncle may be busy helping himself, won't be interested in how you survive. I have a pal I applied the dv lottery for and he was selected...I got 100usd from him till date but he imports babes from other states. I think once you are in America, your 60% of needs goes to sex. Your uncle fuwadus his boss for job? I doubt... everybody is fuwaduing everybody. @bigfrank...marriage is a huge option and pple shouldn't be picky. My former pal used it and married a baby alongside...he has 3 or 4 kids now. However, Nigerians don't help Nigerians. |

You know when they get here they wanna form porsh, but we all know where they are from. Very childish and kinda show some not so good and poor attitude of some not to see advice with a clear mind. I know very well why it all looks this way. Bigfrancis21, you typed out the hard truth and I bet you a lot of them know. I understand and I have seen how things works here. A friend slept at the airport for 5days. Olumide, can give you download of how things went when he got to Boston. A friend in MN, told me how his cousin got stranded in US after friends and relations promised to accomodate him, I didn't know she was talking about Olumide98. I've know her for like 3years, I didn't know she was olumide's cousin. You don't want to know what they are planning for him now. Lol. No hard feelings, exxy, you have your choice to make, you have your cross to carry, I would always wish you the best and make sure you keep fighting hard. But, I know one thing, you'll find this handy advice staring at you as the only option soon. 1 Like |

My post is somehow "weird" but after reading "exxy" wahala, me sef go explain what my fwend is going through. Please my sentences might be disjointed but try to read btw the lines.(( I dey the company wey I wan write test for one job#No vex oga's)) 30% of guyz that comes to this forum to ask information about how to obtain a student visa to obamaland to study also have the same plans of getting to US, then falling out of status or hustling to get Green card.((Fact gotten from random people)) Here's the story.... He(John) met a lady(Juliet) here on this forum when she came here asking for help on how to get a student visa & she was eventually granted. They travelled together & juliet sheltered him for a year, but he later found out that her true intention was to go over, hustle & get married just for the Green Card which she eventually worked out for her . Romeo happens to be a "cute dude" cos he always had luck with ladies anywhere he goes even back then in NYSC days . My padi is now in love with a good 9ja gurl but the other lady is threatning to set him up maybe through drugs or any means if he eventually dates any girl and his scared of deportation . Am so worried cos I intend staying with him pending the time I rent my own apartment cos am not that financially bouyant . Please do I defer my admission cos am also not financially good & please what the best advice for my friend cos he's living like a prisoner right now. Akanta sef get conscience pass Nigerians for yankee#Obamaland dun collect our 9ja culture/SAD MODE I would answer any questions later. 1 Like |

profojah: Listen, I've told you before. You have no basis at all whatsoever to judge somebody you don't even know. You don't even have the facts. You and others were quick to judge somebody as wicked without caring to know how the man is surviving. What kind of judge makes a conclusive statement from one side?? Nobody. In your mind somewhere, you think America is a bed of roses where everything is rosy for everybody. I have 2 aunts and 1 uncle in this country. 2 (my uncle and aunt) wouldn't even accommodate me in their house how much more dash me $1. A year ago maybe when I was fresh from Nigeria I would have easily tagged them 'enemy of progress' but now I know better. Accommodating an extra person means increased water bill, increased light bill, increased gas bill, increased food expenditure e.t.c. They are barely surviving and managing to come up with their rent and bills every month. The third happens to work for the FG and could afford to accommodate me. I've experienced exactly what Exxy has experienced. Yet you don't see me coming here to complain to have people tell me 'your uncle/aunt is an enemy of progress'. Totally childish. This is America. Staying with aunty/uncle in their house isn't as you have it easy back home. This is my last post to you. You in Nigeria have no idea of life in America and how we survive here. People hardly fully accommodate themselves fully how much more someone else. Until you come here and live on your own for 1 year, pay rent, pay utilities (watch how utilities spike up with an extra person in the house), pay bills e.t.c. and get a better understanding of life in America and then someone calls asking you for money or to live in your house, save your judgment for another day. 5 Likes 1 Share |

There is no family in US. You need to see. I felt very bad at some point, I was sleeping my uncle was at work, got back in the morning took just 2hrs nap and he's off to work. He couldn't even drop me off, had to call a cab man for me. I understand better, when you call him, he'll tell you I can't dash you money, get a business send me the cost and I'll foot it and take down never to respond if you fail. I wanted to use his phone to call my friends in Nigeria, omo the guy cap me well. Say if I don't delete all those crap numbers he just might drop me off the road to find my way 2 Likes |
