@spikes: I'm really worried! I applied on the 2nd and the school deadline for resumption is on the 26th. I've tried tracking my application with TP but it's been the same thing since 6th of january. Now I just need prayers that everything works out and on time, cos I can't defer to September. |

A-ZeD: Thanks. s per the waec thing, i submitted a notorized affidavit stating the errors on my waec certificate and the correction. A photocopy of my waec certificate was also notarized. I had done the notarization since 2010. Wishing you all the best. Hope to welcome you personally to the uk. I applied in Lagos(ikeja) 30th of may and the visa was issued on the 14th of june though vfs contacted me on the 21th. That makes it 9 working days. |

Hi, My cousin got a peculiar situation. She applied to Anglia Ruskin and they took a long time as she had to write an essay to enable her get into the final year of the nursing programme. This took almost three months and eventually she was passed and was asked to make payment for her fees just last week. She has made the full payment as well as sending in her bank statements which has been accepted and she has been informed that the CAS will be ready tomorrow, Monday. Now the challenge she has is the the school resumption is for the 29th of January and she plans to make her visa application by as soon as possible. She has explained her situation to me and asked for advise which I gave with the bit of info i got...thats before I remembered I could get help here. Her concerns: 1. If she is able to apply before friday what do you think her chances would be in terms meeting the resumption date. Even though she plans to pay for the express service. 2. Her statement was printed on the 6th of January, 2015 and she wonders if she can submit this one. She had a fixed deposit of 2m and another 1.5 in her saving account which she kept for over 2 months. However, she took part of the money by the 10th and now it is currently below 2m in all. 3. She has considered deferring till September, if it would take a longtime to get a visa but wants to receive her CAS first. What are thoughts please? |

Allcorrect: 1. There is no express service for tier 4 visa. It would take her between 3 to 4 weeks to be issued and delivered. What is her latest start date? 2. Is the 2m enough to cover her expenses? Fixed deposits are not accepted, is the amount in her savings account? 3. The cas would be invalid. If she decides to defer, she should just tell her school and they would issue her a new cas by then. She should also use the time to research other schools |

Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by Lara911: 6:23pm On Jan 19, 2015 |
mrmaze: @ Olatejucole for the student-visa interview, they will ask you which school you are going to study in, why did you select the school, Some of your previous academic enrolments and what you have been doing in the past. For example, i am going for my masters and they asked me when i completed my first degree, what course i did and what course i would be doing for MSc. They also asked me what i was doing in between my first degree and now; i just told them i had been working. Very easy interview Good luck!! |
