ababda:most of the worlds standard of beauty is Caucasian thats a fact it's not opinion. why do you think the Horn of africa is held as the pretty in africa? because a lot of them don't look too black. Although they represent 10 percent of the population, but individual such as this comply to the supposedly beauty standards of the arab world. Is it biase? Yup. But measuring beauty is biase, hence the expression beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.why would you accept the way it is? thats a problem, it's a shame that half of the population is left out for being too "black" but that's not uncommon in mixed nations. the whitest rule while the rest are just there, the black you are worst off you are. http://thewip.net/2010/10/15/not-too-dark-and-not-too-light-the-deadly-balance-of-skin-color-in-sudan/ http://www.opendemocracy.net/5050/hala-al-karib/politics-and-culture-of-skin-bleaching-in-sudan Now if we are talking about within the Continent of Africa or International beauty contest (if Sudan ever enter such a thing) or the Miss Muslim World contest, and since they are somewhat unbiase in comparison to the contest i mentioned, sure why not have a person from South Kordofan or Darfur represent the entire country. Which is not a problem for most people here.if the government didn't kill them off yet |

KenyanLady: Your thought pattern is deeply phucked up. How would you randomly come up with the idea that am half bantu? Has anything I have ever wrote ever even remotely suggested that? Again you need to see a therapist. It's very rare that I actually feel very sorry for anyone on this forum, but you are pushing it. |

muafrika: "Of all the desiccated, bitter, cruel, sunbeaten wildernesses which starve and thirst beyond the edges of Africa's luscious, jungled centre, there cannot be one more Christless than the one which begins at the northern foot of Mount Kenya and stretches to the foothills of Abyssinia, and from there to the dried-out glittering tip of Cape Gardafui where the hot karif winds blow in from where the long sharks race under the thin blue skin of the ocean. You can never think of those wildernesses without thinking of daggers and spears, rolling fierce eyes under mops of dusty black crinkly hair, of mad stubborn camels, rocks too hot to touch, and blood feuds whose origins cannot be remembered, only honoured in the stabbing. But of all the races of Africa there cannot be one better to live among than the most difficult, the proudest, the bravest, the vainest, the most merciless, the friendliest; the Somalis." never saw a Somali who showed any fear of death, which, impressive though it sounds, carries within it the chill of pitilessness and ferocity as well. If you have no fear of death you have none for anybody else's either, but that fearlessness has always been essential to the Somalis who have had to try and survive hunger, disease and thirst while prepared to fight and die against their enemies, their fellow Somalis for pleasure in the blood feud, or the Ethiopians Gerald Hanley is an old Colonial hand who lived with Somalis. This is from his book Warriors: Life and Death Among the Somalis We are warriors We are business savvy http://mereja.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=51524&start=20 http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/d4979b30-bf98-11e1-bb88-00144feabdc0.html We are the best, don't make me go on and on because I gladly will |

And you demonstrate that worrior spirit by blowing yourselves and your brothers up in the street? Business survy? I doubt because Somali immigrants have not been fairing as well businesswise in the US and EU. Its only in Kenya that you try, all because we let you cut corners. Never mind that Mogadishu is yet to be established as a business capital. |
Re: Why Can't People Embrace Pan-africanism? Why So Much Hatred On This Forum?? by Maakhir(m): 9:02am On Jan 20, 2015 |
muafrika: I'll continue from warrior spirit There is something about pastoralist nomads that makes them quite proud and war like, yes. When the British ruled over British East Africa (Kenya) they used to frequently imprison Bantus, but they would only fine Somalis because they came to find out that Somalis had the odd habit of dying in solitary confinement and thus illiciting vengeance from their immediate kin. So to save them the trouble they just started fining Somalis. THE first thing to understand about the Somalis is that they are not as other men. Richard Burton, the famous Arabist and explorer who trekked across their lands in the 1850s, called the Islamic Somali nomads a ''fierce and turbulent race of republicans''. More pungently, a Ugandan sergeant with the British forces fighting the Mad Mullah went on record as telling his officer: ''Somalis, Bwana, they no good: each man his own sultan (king).'' Do you want more ?? |

I can see it's making you mad This is what a Ethiopian (our mortal enemies) forum has to say on somalis http://mereja.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=51524&start=20 another link http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1300633 Somalis are becoming a political force in America, particularly Minnesotta KDF took all our oil? I do not know which Kenya you are talking about in reference to your worrior spirit Maakhir. Kenyan Bantus started a campaign of brutality against the British colonizers. your people were collaborators. You served the British as their porters and guides. Somalis never fought the British. Ever. Kenyan Somalis even applied to be classified as Indians so they could get favors from the colonial government(That must have been when you guys stopped being African( Eti Indians, hehe.) That cannot be defined as bravery. |

muafrika: LIAR, Your lie too well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHbGAe8Zwxo The first anti-colonial war in Africa and the longest anti-colonial war in East Africa was against somalis. We were the first to fight the British, We fought three colonial poweres at the same time and we kicked them out before Kenyans managed to. Somalis were free of colonialist while the Kenyans were still under their influence. HAHAHAAAAA NO-ONE CAN TAKE YOU SERIOUSLY AFTER THAT STATEMENT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj5pK7B1jfo http://www.islamicfocus.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1069&Itemid=24 http://www.academia.edu/522932/British_and_Somali_views_of_Muhammad_Abdullah_Hassan_s_jihad_1899-1920 What were kenyans doing while we were fighting What have kenyans ever done of worth? |

here bro maakhir il help you out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2wwp3yWIUY many european people left their own country to persue education in somalia. it was the first and the greatest modern state in africa before the war and had an army equal to that of the west. check your monkey presidents resume it probably say mogudishu university like many african leaders got their education in somalia putting up one of the most fiercest resistance to European colonialism (it took 3 European powers France, England and Italy to subdue Somalis), by being one of the few African nations to have a written script, by being the biggest supporters of African liberation in southern Africa Zimbabwe, Angola, Mozambique, and South Africa (in fact Mugabe once resided in Mogadisho during his struggle to liberate his country not to mention that both the the ANC`s umkhonto we sizwe and the Azania People`s Liberation Army had training bases in Somalia during the struggle against apartheid. All this when other bigger and richer African countries like Kenya and Nigeria were to afraid of the West to lift a finger to help the people of southern Africa. So by fail state you mean solidarity in African liberation then we Somalis are guilty as charged but you are just another one of these sellout Christian African uncle toms. i could list them all! 1 Like

Maakhir: Somalis are powerful linguist we spoke many languages and we were litterally the inventors of poetrty. see we were the greatest merchant and traders in africa and the greatest sea faring race to ever exist Maritime history of Somalia refers to the seafaring tradition of the Somali people.[1] It includes various stages of Somali navigational technology, shipbuilding and design, as well as the history of the Somali port cities. It also covers the historical sea routes taken by Somali sailors which sustained the commercial enterprises of the historical Somali kingdoms and empires, in addition to the contemporary maritime culture of Somalia. they keep talking about war like somalis are the only one who gone through it here the same thing civil war happened to your beloved america wow now talk about those savages killing eachother or doesnt it apply to your white master? |

Muafrica's hate for Somalis is deep rooted if he is making ridiculous claims like ''Somalis never fought the British army'' and refuse to admit that most of us are pretty good business man. A South Sudanese friend of mine told me about Somali migrants in Juba who came bare handed and started small businesses in couple months just like Somali migrants in UK, US and around the world. But the best example is Somalia Mogadishu, the government does nothing and needs of households is provided by business man. You need clean water, they got is.You need electricity? they got it. You need security? they are the ones to turn to not the police. The whole country is runned by the private sector. But I'm pretty sure that all of this doesn't matter to you because you are just looking for reasons to hate on Somalis. We are living in a sad world. |

This tradition of seaborne trade was maintained in the early modern period by later Somali states such as the Gobroon Dynastymaybe the only thing u need is your white slave master to hand you information for you to except it!
