just because it challenges the mainstream does not mean it isnt true!

The truth is stranger than fiction, but the truth nonetheless!

Read the sources that were already posted:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Names_of_the_Berber_people

The usage of the term "Berber" is a recent one. No primary source during antiquity ever mentions a "Berber people" in the Maghreb. They went by Numidian, Ethiopian, Mauri or just their ethnic name.

Today their all binded together because they speak a common language which was recently named "Berber". This is the same case for "Cushite" and "Bantu".

The only ones truly still speaking the Berber languages today are our neighbors the Tuareg with a few Kabyles

Papyrus of Hunefer
"we came from the beginning of the Nile were God Hapi dwells, at the foothills of the Mountains of the Moon"

'Their home lay far to the south, and all that we know of Predynastic Egypt suggests that it was in the neighborhood of the Great Lakes
EW Budge, Hieroglyphic Dictionary, Dover, 1920

The Rwenzoris are the legendary “Mountains of the moon”, a reflection of the mist-shrouded mountains of this rugged massif that tower almost 4,000 m above the Albertine Rift Valley, making them visible from great distances.
http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/684

Ptolemy compiled his geography of Africa based on the writings of Marinus of Tyre. Marinus recorded that around 50 CE the Greek trader Diogenes traveled inland from Rhapta (coastal city in what is today Tanzania) for 25 days before encountering two great lakes and a snowy range of mountains where the Nile draws its source (Lane-Poole 1950: 4).

Though there is some debate on this subject, it seems very clear that Diogenes, traveling directly west from the coast, came upon either Lake Nyassa or Lake Victoria (or both). The nearby snowcapped mountains could only be the Rwenzori range.

Diop starts by recounting that in 1971 the Kenyan anthropologist Louis S. B. Leakey, in his final report at the Seventh Pan-African Congress of Prehistory at Addis Ababa, proved that more than one hundred fifty thousand years ago humans were more morphologically similar to us were living in Central Africa around the great lakes that feed the Nile. Diop explains how this startling discovery opened a reappraisal of the ethnology of the ancient Egyptians and humankind as a whole. Leakey even thought he had found the very spot where the adventure of modern man had begun: the beautiful, snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, traditionally known as the Mountains of the Moon and discovered by Henry Morton Stanley in 1885.

Bro she is right about term ''Berber'' being recent before that word people used different variations like Barbar or Barbari or Barbaroi
Which is what somalis and north africans were called in the past. Berber language didnt exist becuz they all spoke somali.

Berber is a corruption of the Barbar which in both ancient egyptian language and somali language ''barba'' means to teach/to write.

After the 1.5 million european slaves where shipped to north africa and the ottoman turks colonized it. It diluted both the identity of the people and the gene pool.

southern arabia, egypt, north africa was filled with somalis who spoke different dialects of the somali language. The migration of asiatics change that.

Somalis look the way they do due to Climate and environment. Somalis live in a desert dry climate just like north africa and southern arabia.
While the rest of africa lives in the jungle with monkeys!

The almost extinction of the somali race is a prime example how you shouldnt mix at all

The Moor, whom the classical Greek and the Roman authors called Berber were black, and affiliated with the then contemporary peoples of the East Africa area . The word Berber was used in fact to refer to peoples of the Red Sea area in Africa as well as North Africans.

According to Ivan Van Sertima, associate professor of African Studies at Rutgers University. "Black Moors were in every corner of Europe. Most people do not know that the peoples called Berbers by the classical Greek an Roman historians were black and affiliated with the then contemporary peoples of the East African area."

You people are like little insecure kids. When something challenges the mainstream belief you you get angry and bash people or become little sissies.

@PAGAN 9JA, so you mean to tell me that the original black Arabs that conquered Spain were also of slave ancestry. That is exactly the type of lies being told by today's white Arabs. The original Arabs describe themselves as black and yes they traded in slaves. But the truth is that every race engaged in slave trade. The Original black Arabs traded both black and white slaves but they are particularly fond of white concubines. I do not believe that whites are the only ones guilty of slavery though I blame them for racialising slavery. But whatever I say will not make sense to you because you so much want to promote your paganism and the real history I am presenting here will make most of your pro-paganism arguments fall like a house of cards.

And now for some paintings of some black Arabs and there white concubines/slaves.

Those aren't Arabs little boy

The Pure Arabs and the East Africans are indeed kith and kin!

The hadith prove it more than anything
here is what the prophet said

It is reported that the Prophet Mohamed (pbuh) said, (In a dream) I saw myself following a herd of black sheep. Then a group of white sheep came (and mixed with the black sheep) until they (the white sheep) became so many that the black sheep could no longer be seen in the herd of sheep." Abu Bakr, the companion of the Prophet (pbuh) and the interpreter of dreams, said, "Oh Messenger of Allah. As for the black sheep, they are the Arabs. They will accept Islam and become many. The white sheep are the non-Arab Persians, etc. They will accept Islam and become so many that the Arabs will not be noticed amongst them." The Prophet Mohamed (pbuh) then said that an angel had interpreted the dream the same way.

Zaid ibn Aslam related that the Prophet (SAWS) saw a vision and told his companions about it. He said:

"I saw a group of black sheep and a group of white sheep then mixed with the black sheep."

They said: What's the interpretation of the vision Oh Messenger of Allah? The Prophet (SAWS) said:

"The non-Arab Persians will share with you your religion and your genealogy."

The companions became surprised by what he (SAWS) said. Then one said:

"The non-Arab Persians Oh Messenger of Allah?!"

The Prophet (SAWS) then said:

"If faith were hanging on the Pleiades (a group of stars), men from the non-Arab Persians would reach it.

"Your hands will become full of non-Arabs (Persians). Then they will become like fearless lions who don't run away. Then they will cut your throats and take your spoils."

لتملان أيديكم من العجم ، ثم ليصيرن أسدا لا يفرون ، ثم ليضربن أعناكم وليأكلن فيئكم

"It was narrated by Sumra (from Al-Hasan Al-Basri) that the Prophet (SAWS) said:

'Soon Allah will fill your hands with the Persians/Non-Arabs. Then they will be fearless lions and they will kill your fighters and take your spoils.'

عن سمرة قال : قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم

يوشك أن يملأ الله عز و جل أيديكم من العجم ثم يكونون أسدا لا يفرون فيقتلون مقاتلتكم ويأكلون فيأكم

here is the hadith of what prophet said with illustrations

Here is a Hadith of the prophets grandfather

Mohamed ibn Umar Bahriq Al-Hadrami Al-Shaafa'ie says in his book Hadaaiq Al-Anwaar Wa Mataali'i Al-Asraar Fi Seerat Al-Nabi Al-Mukhtaar:

وأما عبد المطلب فاسمه شيبة الحمد وإنما سمي عبد المطلب لأن عمه المطلب بن عبد مناف أخذه من أمه سلمى الأنصارية النجارية فقدم به ( مكة ) يردفه خلفه وكان أسمر اللون فظن الناس أنه عبد اشتراه المطلب فقالوا قدم المطلب بعبد فلزمه ذلك الاسم

"Concerning Abdel Muttalib, whose real name is Shaibat Al-Hamd, verily he was named "Abd (the slave of) El-Muttalib" because his uncle El-Muttalib ibn Abd Manaaf took him from his mother Salma the Ansaariya (from the Ansaar) Al-Najjaariya and came to Mecca with him on the back of his riding animal and he (Abdel Muttalib) was asmar-complexioned, so the people thought that he was a slave that El-Muttalib had bought, so they said: 'El-Muttalib has come with a slave'. This name then stuck to him."

This says he asmar tho the prophet grandfather

@Puntite

I'm sorry, I know that my rebuttal came a day later than promised but here it is

My friend, the hadith that Anas ibn Malik reported in Sahih al-Bukhari can be mentioned as a very light tan as he said he was not brown nor white but rather whitish.

Anas Ibn Malik RA said: "He had broad palms and his colour was bright. He was neither white nor brown, rather he was whitish at the time of his death, in both his head and beard there were as many as twenty grey hairs, beside some grey hair at his temples." Sahih Al-Bukhari 1/502

When Arabs used to use the word brown they used to mean it as people of bronze (tan) skin.

The Prophet SAW already gave us the interpretation of his dream. I know the Prophet didn't lie, he was Al-Ameen and in the Quran it says that he only ever said what came down upon him as revelation and nothing that ever came from his own desires

In every culture a black sheep represents something unique and rare and white sheep are something of a common occurence. The Prophet likened the Arabs to the Black sheep and the white ones to the Persians.

If he was literally referring to the Arabs as black, then he would also literally be referring to them as sheep.

The dreams of the Prophet SAW always took on a deeper meaning eg.

The Prophet SAW in a dream saw two bracelets on his arm and he found them unsettling, so he blew them off his arm,
That dream was interpreted by the Prophet SAW as: The two bracelets were the Liar of Yemen and the Liar of Yamamah, and as to him blowing them off, that meant that they would be a easy problem to remove.

The two liars were: Al-Aswad al-Ansi and Musaylamah Al-Kathaab (the kunya the Prophet gave him eg. Musaylamah the Liar) and his dream came to be true as Al-Aswad was killed while the Prophet was dying and Musaylamah died soon after.

If we went by your logic both men would be gold bracelets cheesy cheesy

In addition, people of dark skin were not referred to as brown, they were referred to as Black, Aswad. Even the dark-skinned Arabs such as Al-Aswad al-Ansi.

Again I will emphasise this point: When Arabs used to use the word brown they used to mean it as people of bronze (tan) skin.

And in one of your posts you said something similar to the effect of would our ancestors accept deen from a white man, so yes you were being arrogant and mixing pride with deen.

The Arabs were definitely of the Semitic branch in the Afro-Asiatic family, not Cushtic. No point in trying to claim them, they are just like every other human.

My friend, the people thought he was a slave, not because of his complexion, but because they did not know him and it wasn't a unusual custom of nobles who went to other tribes in Arabia, to bring back a slave with them.

You said that they thought he was a slave because his complexion was brown, you also said that every Arab at the time of the Prophet had a brown complexion, so going b that logic, every Arab at the time would have been a slave grin grin

I want to share the page Allahu Subhana wa ta'ala guide to page 215 Volume 5 in my 7 volume set of Tarik Al-Tabari the proof below is found in Arabic pure proof Tabari says:

"Mohamed Al-Nafs Al-Zakia was tall, jet-black-skinned and huge. He was nick-named The Bituminous because of his blackness and Abu Ja'afar Al-Mansour used to call him Charcoal".

This guy is from qurais
It is a known fact that Mohamed Al-Nafs Al-Zakia was a pure-blooded Arab from his father's side and his mother's side. This is why he was nick-named The Pure-Blooded Quraishi. This is why he said the following about himself:

"You know that no one has as close relations to or relations to anyone better than he whom I am very closely related to (meaning the Prophet Mohamed (SAWS))".

Remember that this person was called The Bituminous and Charcoal
