I am not allowed to discuss the details (and it's not one case but several), but based on what I have heard from medical practioners and lawyers who handle malpractise cases, none of them like Reddington. Modath is right, the care at private is not the same as the technical expertise you get at public healthcare facilities.

Find a doctor whom you trust, it's okay to ask for referrals from your doctor (so an independent Gyno can verify what's going on). Your doctor should be able to explain very well what they are recommending for you. Ask them what they can and cannot do beforehand (in an emergency, most private hospitals transfer you to GH/govt hospitals, sometimes it is when you go into premature labour, you find out your expensive private hospital doesn't have the capability to handle such).

@Modath, your ex-neighbour sounds like one of my sisters. Her spiricoco caused her to insist on natural birth against the advice of all her doctors begging her to do CS (including my relatives, who are consultants, one a freaking surgeon!). Her church people were egging her on. The baby's heart had a hole in it, stress from birth made him simply stop breathing a few hours after birth. And she was in a good hospital in the UK o, not GH where light fit comot or they will say doctors are on strike or no blood type or one daft thing.

Now, she's all for natural birth (you recover faster) but if I need CS ( I pray I won't) and she sees me delaying, she will pull her fist back and punch me out of that bed. She has also said my hubby should limit who has access to me (physically and on the phone).

I am 27weeks pregnant and just went for my scan, only for the sonographer to tell me scan showed 30 weeks,then argument started btw us cos I know my LMP and I am not a novice when it comes to calculating GA(though this is my first time). Now my question is what could be d reason for this discrepancies? And I hope all is well wt me and my baby wt these disrepancies?

Re the 3 sonographers giving u same 3weeks interval/increase or it was the one u had 2day? If they r all giving u same result then the most possible cause/reason is wrong dating.. 3weeks is too much to b added, if it's stil a week,its stil within range. Pls let me knw

@mamas, d most accurate method to calculate ur EDD is thru ur LMP(1st day of ur last period). So if u re really sure of ur LMP, it overrules woteva ur scan says. Besides, d later a scan is done, d less accurate it is. first trimester scans are more accurate

But DH and our dr ar sayin dat d best way to deliver twins is 2ru CS. Accordin to dr,she said dat I won't pass 2ru pains much,dat within 5-10minutes I will hear d cry of my LO. dont let any1 put fear into u. Wot is d indication for d cs( u can ask ur dr if u dont kno). if d pregnancy is uncomplicated, and labor progresses fyn, vaginal delivery is possible even for a first timer wt twins. D hsptl may b after d money they ll mk frm cs

It all started yesterday(20th) at about 7pm. I was putting my first daughter 2ru her home work when i felt a 'rush' of water out 2ru my vjay. And each time i want to talk, there will be another rush of the water, this happened like five times. I quickly called my dh to com tek me home. Both dh and his inlaw insisted that i go the hospital first, but i sharp pass them. I told them that i don't have my hospital card with me(na true sha oooo) but my main reason was fear of induction abi na augmentation cos i was not having contraction. So he took me home.
While preparing my kids that knight for the hospital, i quickly went to Google and the answers i found strengthened my heart. After much much, i was able to convince my dh to hold on till the next day. That knight i made Google my closest pal.
Fast forward to this morning(21st), at about 7:30am i did just small light exercise and 30 minutes later i started to have contractions which were ten minutes apart. I decided to hasten labor my doing some house chores and begged God that i want to be atleast 8cm dilated by the time i get to the hospital.
I got to the hospital some mins before 1pm and by 2:20pm my daughter came forth.
Forgot to add. Wen i got to the hospital and was checked, i was 8 and half dilated, so they decided to make contraction stronger by placing me on a drip that i don't know its name. And hell was let loose and with two pushes my queen was delivered. Glory be to God in the highest and peace to you all.

Birth story: it started on the 20th evening at abt 5pm wit light cramps. By 4.30am on the 21st it migrated to pains at d bottom of my uterus that were spreading to my waist. I grabbed my hospital bag by 7am and asked DH to drop me wit my mum becos of proximity to the clinic. By 3pm I was having contractions every 5mins and my mum thot we shuld go to the hospital, wen I got there, I was jst at a 2cm (meanwhile my water hadn't broken and I had not seen any show) we were told to go home and return bak wen d pain increased. By 7pm, I vomitted and lost my mucus plug, by then the pain was hell, we returned to hopital, got checked and I was at 4cm, I got discouraged at d slow dilation, I was den told to walk around. Bt for where? Me wen sleep dey catch? I went to sitdown and after sometime tried to sleep, bt was often awaken by each contraction. Later I requested for a bed at about 10pm, and my mum was like "if u r really feeling pains, u wuld nt b requesting for bed to sleep" anyways, I got one, and I laid down. In 30mins I felt strong urges to push. I told my mum, ND she cald the matron to check me again, immediately I entered d labour room, my water broke, ND d matron said I was fully dilated! I was so surprised cos it practically took me only 3hrs plus to dilate from 4cm to 10cm. She set up d delivery and in less than 30mins my prince came out screaming and sucking his hands! My mum was so surprised I had delivered cos she dint hear my voice at all through out the pushing. The tears no be here oo, bt am eternally grateful for a fast and safe delivery. God is awesome!
