Is this not confirmation of what some of us argued from when GMB squared up to face Kwankwaso, Atiku, Okorocha et al at the APC Primaries? The fact Okupe and other mercenaries do not want to accept is that Nigerians are a fairly simple people. They queued behind GEJ in 2011. They sang and danced for him because of the belief he represented change. 4 years later and it is the the ultra corrupt and misruling leadership of GEJ that has now shown Nigerians what matter above all else.

Nigerians now know that a PHD is worthless if it is not in the possession of a good, decent and pro-people leader. Our people now understand that having no shoes as a boy does not mean a kid has turned into a principled adult passionate about the underprivileged class he came from. We now completely accept that being from an ethnic group that produces majority of the wealth of Nigeria does not predispose an unprincipled man to doing what is right . Nigerians have watched events unfold to see that even the SS region of GEJ fared much better under a Fulani man i.e Yar Adua.

All GEJ has done is empower corruption moguls, militants in the SS and those who "carry guns" (Rev.Ugolor) to the detriment of the region. Under GEJ the NDDC (Niger Delta development commission) has only succeeded to further impoverish the SS it was set up to develop and empower. The long and short of issues, as the responses to Okupe confirms, is that whatever the mercenaries of GEJ attack Buhari with will only make Nigerians love and support him more because it is now crystal clear to all of us that it is the innate character , decency and pro-people goodness of a leader that matters above everything else. Nigerians have now had the distasteful experience of watching the most highly-educated President in the history of our nation turn out to be the most corrupt, most callous, most pro-elite, most criminal-friendly and most anti-people leader we have had to date yet the fat "bastard" Okupe thinks he can still work the education card? 'Goodluck' to Goodluck and the ridiculous mercenaries he surrounds himself with.
