The demand for Buhari's certificate has raised a lot of issue and we can no longer ignore these things. Since he has showed us his certificates, i think attention should be shift to the first lady, who claimed to be a graduate but there's nothing that attest to that except what we are being told.

The fact that the burden of her expenses is being carried by nigerian tax payer makes it imperative for her to show us her cert.

The Stupidity of Obasanjo will escalate further, cos He feels neglected and side line. I Joined same flight with him last year to Addis Ababa, Via Ethiopian Airline Precisely April 29 2014 , he was humbled and disgrace by Ethiopian Immigration Officials. Trying to breach protocol. (Shame)

I believe there's a lot of lessons too learn from your points here. For me these are

1. That he did not finish his Ph.d and uses the title, will suggest questionable values and self esteem.
2. I quite agree with you, attaining the position of president, especially when seemingly by happenstance, will not be a basis to measure success. GEJ's classic case is more than suggestive. This leads to the need for people to understand that the definition of success is not 100% universal, largely relative yet we can set a benchmark
3. But what intrigues me is the accidental nature of GEJ's presidency viz-a-viz his capacity. There is absolutely nothing wrong with his ascent to presidency, but is seeming lack of preparedness and near absolute next-to-nothing capability is the big problem. The worse thing is that his there seems to be no learnings/preparedness from his past to prepare him for this, hence such is confined to the ridicule of complacency, sentiments and ignorance. I mean, what can we now make of GEJ's "Ï had no shoes" theorem? from gaffes to goofs - "America Knows", "mere stealing, they called corruption", "..ask Nigerian, they have light", "...they want to kill me"....they are way too many. Well I concede that he may also be a victim of today's awareness and expectation levels.


But personally, I must say, as a Doctoral Student, I'm very upset about GEJ using the appellation, if he's not. Phd is a different ball game entirely. It is an eminent class of men and women, who have created new knowledge and stretched the sphere of knowledge. You don't claim such, if you have not cross that border, and you don't belong to the scholarly community. Ever wonder why some of us are much critical of Emeagwali? except GEJ's appellation is ceremonial or superficial like appellations of Late Prof. Peller or Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister......

Asking about his doctorate is not just because of politics. As a president of a country, already representing 140million people everywhere he goes, attaching PhD to his name and flummoxing over simple English sentences; you have to start asking questions cos "America will know".
