I have been inspired to create this post due to some happenings and being able to relate with a lot of bachelors and spinsters who are expectant of their big day and the person they would want to spend the rest of their lives with.

Invest in yourself: The only business you can invest in life and be sure of 100% returns on investment is investing in yourself. What do you do with your time? Do you read? Write? Acquire skills that might come in handy and useful to you later in life?Keep in shape?

Are you ready for a lifetime commitment?: Please if you are not ready for commitment don't get married. Getting married and staying married isn't all about yourself, its about sharing your life and all of you with your better half. Yes we all love our 'space' but marriage is all about commitment.

How creative are you?: How creative are you? Can you turn that African print into a dazzling skirt? Can you string a lovely pair of beads or whip up surprises by creating things you will need rather than buying. A man loves a woman who can create pancakes for breakfast, a perfect fruit salad for dinner, lovely tablecloths or embroidery. A woman has to learn to rather be a creative person rather than a consumer.

Are you keeping fit?: Yes do you keep fit. A man wants to see you constantly looking toned, are you taking exercises to keep your butts and jugs in shape? Do you watch what you eat and how healthy you look. Instead of spending thousands on makeup and supplements why not eat, live and exercise right. I am sure you could save some change.


Are you enterprising?: Every lady needs to learn how to be enterprising, even if you are working do you have another source of income that can help you out anytime you are experiencing cash crunch. Earn a decent living because there's dignity in labour. The man who is marrying you will see you as a useful addition to him rather than seeing you as a liability. Be an asset!!


What's your temperament like?: work on your temperaments, how do you pass your feelings across without being a nag? The way you talk and behave will go a long way to see how blissful your home will be.


Know what you want?: Do you want to be married just for the sake of being married or you want to create value. Draw up boundaries and limits. Know what you can take and what you can't take. It will save you the stress of having issues in your home.
