Did the same thing before sending the phone for repairs. Hope it gets fixed. I was told it would take two weeks (from the time I dropped the phone off with the Carlcare rep)
. what did you drop along with your phone, your receipt?

if you want your infinix zero 2 be smoother and faster all u nid 2 do is change ur runtime from dalvik to art.art is the new runtime used by lollipop(though initially started and tested on 4.4).2 change to art u must 1st activate the developer option by going to setting-about phone-and tap build number 7 times until it says u are now a developer.now go to dev option in setting and change select runtime from dalvik to art and enjoy a smoother android experience.note;not all apps are compatible with the art runtime but with lollipop already released by Google most apps should already be updated

do not try it ur phone will hang on booting, av tried it, was lucky i had my nandroid back up dats why am goog to go now

Been rocking my infinix zero for like a month now. . .been a cool experience. I have only one problem tho, the sound quality is too low. . .& I'm a MusicLover. The sound quality is fvcked up yo! who agrees??

Well I bought the Poweramp player and I listen to music with it. Poweramp amplifies the sound, you won't even notice any difference with the sound of an iPhone provided you use a good earpiece. So my solution for you is to get Poweramp and tweak the equalizer settings a bit. It's easy.

If you try to update your Infinix Zero after rooting it, it will get BRICKED. If you really want to apply an update Im guessing u could either update and root later or unroot it before applying an update.

It will not necessarily get bricked. Most times it will just tell you update failed. It has happened to me. I had rooted my device earlier and tried to update it, it only kept showing an emc or something error as it tired to update in the recovery but when I rebooted my phone it boots.
So updating your device after rooting does not necessarily brick it. Most times it just prevents it from updating.

I will like to correct some misconceptions about the infinix zero ota update. The infinix zero update will not brick ur device even if u're rooted. It will or may only brick ur device if uv flashed a custom recovery like clockworkmod recovery or twrmp recovery and the likes. So to update ur zero if u're rooted or changed imei does not brick ur device. only if u have a custom recovery do u have a chance of brickin ur device. And if u wana update ur zero and u have a custom recovery, just flash back the stock recovery (the recovery that came with the fone). If u wana follow this tutorial am assuming u have basic knowledge about stock recovery, custom recovery, flashing updates, rooting and unrooting
Re: Infinix zero discussion thread! by pope5(m): 4:54pm On Jan 23, 2015
dowmload the stock recovery from previous post and use rashr tool to flash, check playstore for this tool

The phone looks very nice but it heats up and gulps down battery like a drunk. Is there a fix for that?

Well I had rooted my device by flashing cwm and then tried to update but my phone didn't get bricked. It just failed to update. I actually tried this about 20 times before I finally learned I had to flash back stock recovery first. And all the while nothing happened to my phone. So what I'm saying is that having cwm recovery didn't brick my phone when I tried to update.

You don't a speed to test to know that, bro. Just check the specs, especially the Cpu of 1.4ghz running on 8 cores as opposed to the normal 4 and 2 cores of most Android phones. And with 2gb ram coupled with 16gb rom, an impressive internet speed is inevitable.

yes, no doubt in specs different., but I wont b surprised the actual practical speeds will be thesame on same network..cuz of network restrictions

Not really. The higher the processor and ram, the greater the internet speed of a device. On the right location and on UC browser HD, Infinix Zero can clock up to 4-5mb/s.
