A young boy crossing the highway at Orile by Doyin Bus-stop, Lagos was crushed to death by a trailer truck this afternoon. Stil wondering how this young child will be allowed to cross a busy road by himself. Please don't look at the pix if you don't have the heart.

Chai. So sad at the loss of such a young soul. Is it that the school did not have anybody helping the students to cross the street or what?.
When I was in secondary school, my school was not by situated the roadside. You have to branch into a side street and walk down to get to my school. Despite that, every morning and afternoon, the school would place someone on the main road to help flag down cars for students to cross. This was a secondary school o with much older students not to talk of a primary school with little kids.

The parents too should have made sure the child was brought home by a matured person. They have learnt the hard way. May God grant them the fortitude to bear the loss. cry
