saengine: Show us video of Nigeria's security adviser saying all those words, that is the only proof that he said it. All we see are internet written stories that cannot be prove to be the words of the Security Adviser of Nigeria. The whole British story destroyed itself by saying the NSA said Nigerian army has only 62,000 soldiers in 2015 when the man with the list of names of every Nigerian soldier as the Army Chief of staff said he has 100,000 soldiers in 2013 and he is massively recruiting to total 150,000 soldiers. http://tribune.com.ng/news2013/index.php/en/news/item/9657-150-000-soldiers-needed-to-tackle-terrorism-coas This proves everything in that British story as lies and racist falsehood . You are free to believe the whites when they downgrade a black nation, afterall you are used to being a victim of racism in Soweto, it's your destiny, nothing will change it . |

It's a free world, anybody can believe whatever he likes to believe. BBC has admitted that it copies news about Boko Haram war from Facebook....LOL....and from people who had fled out of Baga yet giving casualty figures when the did not wait to count dead bodies, high speed run away escapees giving BBC war report and BBC published it across the world, I thought the white people said they are more intelligent than we blacks....LOL....Facebook is British source of battlefield report....LOL . |

overhypedsteve: The end justifies the means, since Chad and Cameroon pulled out their troops from the MNJTF, who lost 2,000 citizens eventually? How are we sure that Boko was not weary of the Chadians reason they waited for them to leave before the onslaught? What stopped the almighty Nigerian troops from holding the front to prove they are capable at the exit of the Chadians? You can praise Nigeria for all I care but I have lost a lot in this crisis and none of you can pull a wool over my eyes, the Nigerian army is not winning this war. 1 Like |

If Nigerian army is not winning, Boko Haram will be ruling an Islamic republic inside Maiduguri and marching towards Abuja. While the Southies are busy believing everything they read and distorting facts, things are happening; Nigerian military set for “final onslaught” against Boko Haram — Source January 23, 2015Nnenna Ibeh The Nigerian military is set for a final, and comprehensive onslaught against the extremist Boko Haram group, in an operation expected to end by before February election, a website that distributes press statements for the Nigerian military, has reported. PRNigeria quoted a military source as saying that government forces have finalized plans to conduct a “once and for all comprehensive operations” towards the elimination of Boko Haram terrorists in parts of North East. The news came a day after President Goodluck Jonathan’s National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, said the fighting has been undermined by “cowardly soldiers” who prefer giving every excuse in the world to fighting the extremists. PRNigeria said the new military plan came as the Jonathan administration became so worried by the activities of Boko Haram, especially after viewing the latest video from the terror group, in which its leader, Abubakar Shekau, claimed they have enough weapons to overrun Nigeria and its neighbours. The report said the military plan has been approved by the federal government, and has also received the assurance of cooperation and support of Cameroun, Niger and Chad, who now appear to have realised the danger posed by continuing to allow terrorists free movement across the borders. “Nigerian military is reviewing strategy in the combat against terrorists to accommodate joint and combined operations with neighbouring military organisations,” the source was quoted as saying. Massive deployment of air and amphibious assets are expected to feature in the operation. Preparatory to the mission, the Defence Headquarters has changed the General Officer Commanding the 7 Division which is the leading formation in the counter-terrorism campaign, the source was quoted as saying. The source said the deployment for the mission will facilitate the elimination of safe haven and escape routes of Boko Haram terrorists within Nigeria and neighbouring countries. PRNigeria also reported that innocent citizens living in terrorist-infested areas are expected to vacate temporarily to safer towns. Speaking to PRNigeria, Defence spokesperson, Chris Olukolade declined comment on details of the operation, he however, said the military would not relent in its efforts to restore peace to every part of the country. He also admitted that all the countries bordering Nigeria are willing to compliment the efforts in Nigeria as terrorism has remained a menace or threat to all in the region. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/175472-nigerian-military-set-final-onslaught-boko-haram-source.html 2 Likes 1 Share |

jpphilips:you have become a victim of propaganda, brainwashed by certain unsavory elements who concoct vile schemes and hatch abominable treacheries in order to discredit our military efforts.chad have gone down to cameroon for one week now,how many terrorists have they killed?.you do not understand anything, yet you presume to know everything, let me enlighten you: many of boko haram fighters are chadian soldiers and mercenaries.why has BH killed people in nigerian and cameroon but havent crossed into chad?,the geography is very simple,it is easy for boko haram to march a campaign into djadema following the rim of lake chad basin through amarchide into southern chad, but why havent they ever attempted it?,chad's southern border garrison is very weak compared to that of their north. 3 Likes |

MikeCZAR: SANDF has NO GBADS air defense system in service today, you wait till 2017 and that will be shifted till 2020 because SANDF is broke, no money, all equipment purchase is suspended indefinitely. Your ground search radars are not air search radars, SANDF does not have 500km mobile search radar unless you can prove it . |
Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by MikeCZAR: 7:57pm On Jan 23, 2015 |
agaugust:The GBADS is a project. 2017 is date when various SA companies led by Rheinmetall will finish upgrading the Oerlikon twin barrel guns including supplying C2 and sensor systems Firstly the SA army received C2 systems of the GBADS. Followed by the Starstreak missiles: 8 LML launchers and an unknown numbers of the MANPADS version. Only the Thales squire for project Cytoon are ground search radars. The SAAF mobile radars have range of more than 500km. The Nigerian military is a rebel force nowhere close to the SANDF. |
