@Richard
Applicants with existing appointments should contact the CGI Call Center at +234 0144 06218 to make any necessary changes.
Therein lies your answer. Call/email them. After verification, the proper DS 160 will be tied to your profile. For email addy, read like 2 pages back. Justwise recently gave somebody the email.
Cheers

Justwise and LadyGuinivere so it means it's possible to fill another ds-160 form before the interview and call the callcentre to effect the changes?

I'm not sure if filling another form is the answer, editing the existing one should be the right thing to do.

you can't edit the form that is already submitted na, I mean that if I fill another ds-160 how do I change the ds-160 number on the one I used to book appointment

When i said editing...i'm talking about emailing or calling them to make the necessary changes, you maybe asked to do that on your interview day.

My answer is predicated on experience. For my husband's form I made a mistake. Saw it in the print I made after submission. Filled another form.Called them and they changed it. So yes its possible to 'edit' a form after submission in that sense

Its not even an issue since she will be attending an interview, that can be corrected there.

i've just filled another ds-160 form and I have been trying to edit the number but it isn't editing ,I want to fill in the new ds-160 number, I'll call them on Monday because I read that if I carry a different ds-160 confirmation number from the one I used to schedule appointment i'll be turned back.

Richardmentor1 kindly rephrase your question in an understandable manner because I don't understand it, and so you can get a prompt answer.

THank you, what I'm trying to say is that the comfirmation number is different from the appointment number. And what what I read from the thread, posted by the VO, says if the number on the two are different one will not be attended to.

Response pls, anybody??
Re: Usa Visit Visa by Nobody: 4:12pm On Jan 24, 2015
I have patiently read from page 1 to abt 162
of this thread. You guys have been
doing a nice job. Anyway, I plan to apply for a B1/B2 US VISA few weeks time.
Note, I'm a student who wants to use the 1st 4 weeks of my 6 months Industrial
Training Holiday/vacation to visit my Aunt and cousins in US. Aunt is a permanent
Resident and cousins are all citizens. She'll sponsor my trip and will send an IV to
that effect. I'll be using a virgin passport and I've had no international travel
experiences.
1-Does the fact that I'm in my penultimate year as an Electrical/Electronic
Engineering stdnt count as strong tie to my country??
2-Do I need an official document from my school, aside my admission letter?
3-Which has a higher success of VISA issuance, the embassy at Lagos or Abuja? ?
4- On a scale of 10, how likely will I be issued a VISA? ?

LadyGuinivere ?

well, nobody can say for sure your visa issuance likelihood because there is no visa officer here. An i.v is not a requirement to be issued a b1/b2 visa, if you have read the thread properly you will know what to do with your elder sister and cousins i.v if to take it or not, as for being a student, have enough evidence to show you are a student and if it is business you want to claim, claim anyone you fill will help your case.

Before I help u understand the process, I MUST impress it on you that if you go to the embassy with this mindset they'l bounce u cos they'l see ur agitation as guilty conscience or person with ulterior motive.
If you read back, you'l see stories of virgin passports getting. I particularly remember the story of a fella with dreadlocks lookin scruffy with lil or no documents getting.
The only factor they consider when giving u an immigrant visa is: will u return or will u abuse it and migrate? To help them reach that decision, they now use other factors like 'are u married? , are u gainfully employed? What is ur travel history 'etc to reach that decision.
So somebody telling you that the mere fact that u haven't travelled before will result in automatic denial is a fallacy.

my sister my sister LadyGuinivere has said it all, the fact that your husband has a visa is a plus for you, virgin passport or no virgin passport, travel experience is a plus but not a requirement, so put your mind at rest, take your husband's visa page photocopy and biodata page along just incase of necessity

Pheeeewwww!!! Finally!!! I'm here. From page 1 to the last Well done guys. Very well done! I've been a guest reader on NL since 2009. I decided not to join nor post 'cause of the way people throw insults and jabs at each other on the forum. So far, this has been the only sane section with respectful people. I give it to the moderator, tzetzefly, suxes01, justwise and other gurus in the house.

FFWD, my case is not uncommon, my wife gave birth to our son in the US last year. All bills were paid. She went for the interview with a virgin pssprt and she was granted. Now i would like to take my son to Disney, Orlando,Florida for his 1yr birthday and also family vacation cum august this year. However, my pssprt is more or less a virgin pssprt. 'though i've been denied UK visa twice in the past.

Pls house my questions are:
1. Judging from the VO's point of view, what would be our tie back home if i'm granted visa and then, me, my wife and my son (american citizen) go to the US? Pls note i have landed properties and a well-established business

2. Would the VO probably ask for reasons for the 2 UK visa denials? Or ask why we haven't travelled abroad together as a family before?

Please gurus in the house, over to you sirs and ma'ams

Hello gurus,

Pls i'm in the process of filling my DS-160 form. However, on the Travel Information section, there' s where i have "Have you made a specific travel plans?" if i click YES it will prompt for the airline i'm travelling with, date of departure, arrival date, where do you plan to visit/itinery, airport of arrival etc and if i click NO it prompts the questions i get are; intended date of arrival, length of stay and the person paying for the trip etc

Pls gurus what should i select "YES" or "NO".

You have already made your plans haven't u? U plan to go to Disney. So click yes. (IMO) Put in your tentative arrival and departure date. Put in the city and state you are going to for airport of arrival. For me , I didn't fill the airline I was travelling with. (How I wan take know?)
I believe its best to fill as much as you can in your form. Shows concreteness and seriousness. Shows you know what exactly you want to go and do.
