Abuja - Despite denials by the
Presidency that it is not in support of
the postponement of the February
general elections, fresh allegations
have emerged that President
Goodluck Jonathan is in support of
the shift, reports The Sun.
Jonathan’s alleged support follows
the continued rise in public support
for the opposition All Progressives
Congress (APC) presidential
candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.
The postponement would allow the
President and his campaign team to
strategize and gain more support. Senate President denies
statement on poll postponement.
Jonathan has allegedly continued to
discreetly give his backing to the
postponement by instructing some of
his political aides and associates to
attack the Independent National
Electoral Commission and its
chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega
The frequent attacks on Jega by
Jonathan’s kinsman and staunch
supporter, Edwin Clark, is part of the
plot to coerce the INEC chairman to
shift the election.

The opposition and it's media arm will continue to allege while Mr President remains undaunted and focused to ensure a free and fair election come Feb 14.

Anybody or group of persons asking for postponement of the coming general elections are doing great disservice to this Nation out of sheer selfish interests.

All right thinking Nigerians will resist such selfishness and vote for candidates of their choices.
