I was refused a tourist visa in 2010, I want to apply again now but I lost my refusal letter and can't recall the reasons for my refusal, what I will write in the space they ask what are the reasons for the last refusal in the visa application form? I'll highly appreciate it if someone can help me out.

When applying for tourist visa as a business owner, is it necessary to include your company account in the application or personal saving only is alright.

Still select yes and state the year you were refused then explained that you can't remember but if it has to do with fake/forgery document etc then you may have a problem

@ anyone that can help with the following questions

Hello justwise, Please I have a question i wanted to ask and I believe it will help Many individuals that are in the same confusion. In 2011 my wife and my 3 children were granted uk visas

Question 1: I have another baby 2years old the previous children will be applying for 2 years visa should I apply for 6 months for the new baby or 2 years as For others.

Question 2: since my wife and children relocated back to Nigeria . She isnt into any business . She is a student at Christians bible school and A student at NOUN university. Therefore she's not working but taking care of kids and schooling so there is no montly account . Though she has her personal account that i use to fund for house keeping and others.

Questions 3: I'm sponsoring the trip Just as the precious visa with my sole ownership of my company account . with 12m Naira and Dom of about $20k . Please advice me accordingly .

Thank you

You can actually apply for 2 years as you will be doing 2 years for all your kids. So that it won't be strange. You can put a note in the additional info about it.

I applied for 2 years visa for myself and my kids. My kids had never been given visa in fact, they had never travelled out as at that date and we were all given. Our circumstances are different yes but it won't hurt. You just have to make sure you have enough to cover your trip and still have more for your upkeep.

@ justwise, tanks so much for the clarification, you rock.
I assume I will enter the same amount on my kids form? I mean the same amount I'm writting on mine[quote author=justwise post=30036965]
1. The total cost of the trip is what they want to know, it doesn't matter who is paying.

Since we are travelling together

Hello members of the house. Kudos to you all for all the accurate info shared on this forum. My question is very simple: on a dependant's uk visa, can you have more than 2 passport numbers on it? Eg dad mom and grandmom? Such that the grandmom can travel with the child when the parents can't make it. I have even gone as far as asking an immigration officer at Heathrow, he claimed he hasn't seen one but he doesn't see why it's impossible. So guys in the house, your vast knowledge is required to assist me. Thank you.

Hi guys, please on the issue of visa application, I have two accounts, one salary account and one fixed deposit account in different banks. I intend to move the money from my fixed deposit into my savings account so as to have enough money. My question is should I move it into my salary account and use one bank with evidence that the money is from my fixed deposit, or should I move it into the savings account and present both bank statements?

It used to be possible. Now they've limited the option to one. But I guess you can request for it under additional info

Don't move it, use both and make sure that the fixed deposit one is available for use.

Thanks for your response,, but how do I prove that the fixed deposit is available for use. Was jst thinking since the maturity date is in 2 day's time (its been on a 35 day tenor for the past 1 year), I can jst give my bank d instruction not to roll it over and hence move it into my salary account. And then attach a statement of the fixed deposit to prove the source of fund. What do you think?

A letter from your bank indicating that will do.

Thanks a lot, and what will the content of the letter be like?.. and please kindly shed more light on why it is a bad idea to move the money.

...that the money is available for your immediate use....moving large amount of money into your salary account just few weeks to your visa application will be seen as money lodgement.

There have been times in the past that my son would be on long term break and myself and his mom would be unable to take time off work at that time. And because of the clause on his visa he can't fly with anyone else. However, if his grandmoms passport number is included she would be able to take him. So my question is is it possible to have 3 passport numbers on his visa? Thanks

Pretty clear now...i get it. Ok... in that case you can make 3 applications with a note specifically attached to that of grandmum explaining what her role will be....if she is given a visa then each time she will be traveling with your son all you need to do is give her letter of consent for POE...that will correspond with the info they have in the system already about her visa.

[quote author=NittaJ post=30020045]Hello House,

I applied last week Friday along with my hubby and 2 kids, and we all received this message this morning:

Your visa has now been processed and is ready for collection. We aim to return passports to the Visa Application Centre where you lodged your application within 2 working days.

Please what does this mean? Thanks so much![yes your application has been granted,i got the same message 2 weeks ago and i was issued a visa but you have to wait for two working days to get it..congrats to you and your family]
