No doubt, APC is growing stronger but the incumbent factor may come into play. My worry remains that even if APC eventually gains control at all levels of government, the country will still not move to the promise land because the decampees were once in charge of government at different levels without doing things differently. The motive of their actions remains personal and not the desire to move the country forward.

What do you have to say to those whom are rooting for these same old politicians to come back in power to "change" the country?

(I can understand politicians lieing like a log of wood, but the supporters are the ones I can't seem to understand.... )

GEJ for 2015

You forgot Abia state among the states Buhari would show a good account of himself in come Feb 14th. I visit Abia state a lot for leadership and management consults. I interact freely in the streets. Theodore Orji's failure in governance is irritating Abians. Abians curse PDP bitterly everyday. Jonathan will sure witness transferred agression here in the coming polls. Quote me anywhere.

Anyone who quotes you on that is delusional because its definitely not in the same Abia state that I am from that Buhari will get votes over GEJ... let me put it this way... in the first tenure of T.A. Orji... he performed close to absolute zero in the state, no thanks to OUK hijacking the entire states account and what naught... yet that did not stop GEJ from winning the presidential election.

Point is: they may not be popular, PDP that is, but GEJ will floor Buhari, no problem.

If you still insist, can you name the local governments you are claiming GEJ will lose in?

We need prayers in Nigeria.

Dbakre1:
We need prayers in Nigeria.

We have always been praying. In fact our president, Jona, is a prayer warrior sef going by the way he goes to Israel and churches within Nigeria all the time. But God cannot be mocked coz prayer of itself without sincerity of purpose, righteousness, and the will to change the course which has put us in this mess in the first place, will be a futile exercise.

Jonathan seems to be a nice man, but we don't need a nice man at this juncture, not one who has been given an opportunity to prove his mettle as a leader, and has been found wanting.

Why should the nation then reward his failed leadership with a re-election?

As we speak, the nation is under siege by a band of thugs called boko haram, it has been now for over 4 years, and there has been no appreciable progress under GEJ's leadership, and we're supposed to re-elect him coz it's their 'turn'? That's tantamount to cheap blackmail!

The recycled Buhari man is only popular among apc members on political section of Nairaland. 3 times recycled old man is not the real change we want.On election day,the real change will emerge as the winner with Goodluck

You PDP folks should be sued by APC for trying to hijack its 'CHANGE' slogan. How many more lives have to be lost to Boko haram Or, must it affect us personally to realize the seriousness of the situation?

It seems you're still being deluded by 2011 election results where GEJ was seen as some sort of messiah all over Nigeria. People didnt vote PDP in 2011. They simply voted for the person of Jonathan. Do you even know that GEJ got more than 400, 000 votes in Buhari's Katsina State in 2011? Fast forward to 2015. Things have changed. You're the only one not seeing it. If you think Jonathan will get 100% votes of Abians as he got in 2011, I say to you: KEEP ON DREAMING. Buhari will do the unthinkable in the densely populated city of Aba especially; who have been living in hell under PDP for 16 years.

Are u saying the status quo should b maintained? Another platform should be given a chance too to showcase what they can do in terms of governing the nation. PDP has led for 16yrs which has little positive impact on the common man.

The bad eggs from PDP who have decamped to APC would be well diluted thereby getting the corrupt tendencies off them cool cool

The writing is on the wall. Only sycophants are left around Jonathan. All the heavyweights have decamped.
He will lose and he will lose big time. Buhari will win decisively.

Here are the facts today.

1, NW, NE are in the safe corner of Buhari. Jonathan will not get up to ten percent in any of those states.

2, NC will be split but Kwara will tip the scale in favor of Buhari

3, SW: Buhari will win all of SW states given how Yorubas want change. It's not a Buhari factor per se, but Yoruba nation genuinely seeks for a better Nigeria, and it's rather obvious that Jonathan is not only clueless but very corrupt.

SS: Buhari will win Edo and will give a good account in Rivers and will show some modest gains over 2011 in the rest of SS.

SE: All for Jonathan. But .....Buhari will show modest gains over 2011 especially in Imo where Rochas is well loved and the ripple effect of
Father Ejike Mbaka's thought provoking message will give Buhari some sympathy votes especially from those who want a better Nigeria who are not blinded by religion or tribal affiliations.

Jonathan should start packing his bags. It's high time he went back home.

He has done more than enough damage already. Hopefully, Buhari can start crating the looters of our commonwealth.

I am a crate manufacturer. 1,000 crates offered. Manufactured and delivered at no cost.

I disagree; the devil that can transform himself into an angel of light should be avoided like a plague; I am saying that the changed or as you put it, diluted politicianscould end up being worse, and we don't want to take chances with Nigeria... not now that the economy is growing... not now that corruption has been decreased... not now... we need to be moving forward (ever) not backward (never) to the 80s...

Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it,hhow I wish youth will be thoughtful and not repeat history in this nation remember the devil u know is better than the angel u don't know and repetition of history will not only ruin the nation but destroy it's inhabitants, why can't we give chance for youth to rule instead of supporting this 76yrs old man that is abt to pack up,i think he should commit suicide by Feb.14 after failing this election.

Let me tell you APC follwers, Buhari's popularity in the SW is bc Osibanjo (a Yoruba man) is been made his running mate. I can hear Yorubas calling for "Chang". All na lie! It is pure tribalism. Sw should be reminded that if they faild to take the right decision in this election, history will judge them in case there is any chaos.
The only president that can guarantee the existence of Nigeria for now is GEJ. Nigeria has been rocked from its structural foundation making it very fragile at the moment.
Pls my dear SW people look beyond tribal sentiment bc your decision is very vital right now. The ball is in ur court do not drop it!

Nigerians have progressed beyond the level of voting for malt and biscuit except in places like Ekiti where they sold their destiny for small bags of rice.

I thought as much.

Create some group that has no clear cut demands or purpose, which has outgrown those that started it and blame it on the minority.

Bokoharam Members are Humans,
They eat, sleep, drink.!

They have relatives, People know them.

Stop putting all the blame on one person.

Like my Brother has refused to go to school so it is GEJ's fault?

People talk of unemployment,

Please Multiply 12 universities by the number of staffs 1 University can accommodate and 9 are in the North. BUT He has failed.

Definitely Because He established a University where Buhari never wanted one or the Almajiri* schools to free the mind of the people.

But He has failed!

How can we have "Change" without "Freedom"

That Change is bondage!!! And I reject BONDAGE and SLAVERY.!

People pulling down posters and billboards of the opposition?

Attacking the president? Is that the "Change" you preach? Or want?

I keep wondering what we need 12 new universities for when the existing ones are inadequately funded and are not being attended by the children of the political class.

All these ones na story. Nigerians amaze me. Are you saying that Jonathan's government has performed creditably? Aren't you tired of the hardship? Only Nigerians complain but when the opportunity arises to change the course of the leadership we stick to the same approaches and people who ruined this country.

When last did you go to a General Hospital? How much had the government done to improve healthcare to the point where they do not need to use foreign hospitals.

Jonathan promises palliative measures to cushion the effect of the fuel increase in 2012. How many of the measures have you enjoyed? They say Nigeria is producing more food than before and we're even exporting. That's remarkable but is food cheaper? There is no light but electricity bills are increasing. Defence gets a meaty chunk in the budget but our troops are not adequately kitted or armed. There is no Nigeria Airways anymore but Jonathan has 11 jets in his fleet with more to come. The roads that link Nigeria to the West African Coast are totally unbelievable. The government cannot fix them? That should be the best road in Nigeria. When you enter Benin Republic you shake your head for Nigerian roads.

Jonathan promised to cut foreign travels but it never happened. He preached the Gospel of Cassava bread and local rice and how they would be served at government occasions. Was that done? He poses as a corruption fighter but over $20b is missing from NNPC. Much more than that. The fuel subsidy scam culprits are free men today.

The cost of building the second Niger bridge is alarming but you are not saying anything. People who want to give birth are travelling abroad more than ever before because they don't see why they shouldn't. All the big boys in Nigeria today went to public schools and that is why they all knew each other and have long histories now almost everyone goes to private schools. I haven't heard of any radical plan to overhaul or our government schools and train the teachers.

Airline tickets are expensive and you can't blame them because accusation aviation is too costly to run in Nigeria. They pay unrealistic charges and tariffs at airports that are amongst the wrist worst in Africa. Government is not sorting supporting the development of the sector. So more people are forced to come commute over long distances on dilapidated roads inadequately maintained by Jonathan. Yes he met rit rot when he got there but he also met more resources than anybody and six years are more than enough to build world class roads from scratch task talk less of maintaining them. So people die needlessly on our roads and goods and services take longer to reach their destinations thereby increasing the cost of everything that is transported by road.

Meat is still a luxury in a country where we should not only have enough to consume but to also export.

I'm not a politician but I have mentioned just a few things that could have been done in 16 years of PDP leadership Six of which were presided over by Jonathan. What then have they spent our reserves on? What had depleted them? Who in his right mind wouldn't want change? Does it make sense to vote in the same spineless government and expect that in the next four years everything will be well?

I am tired of providing my own light, water, security, tax, education, healthcare, transportation and will seek every legal and reasonable opportunity to bring in change. If the change doesn't come with APC then I'll find it or through another party. If you praise Jonathan instead of holding him accountable then you are part of the problem.
