23 January 2015 The University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES), now known as Cambridge Assessment, in response to requests to authenticate a candidate’s exam certificate, today said: “We can only confirm or verify results at the direct request of or with the permission of a candidate.” “This is in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and section 40 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.” The organisation also confirmed that according to the Regulations for 1961, African Language papers, including those for Hausa were set for the West African School Certificate. NOTES: 1. Examination results were classed in grades by 1 to 9. 1,2,3,4,5 & 6 indicate a Pass with Credit; 7 & 8 indicate a Pass; 9 indicates a Failure. 2. To pass the School Certificate, candidates had to pass examinations in a variety of groups. It was compulsory to pass English Language, but not Maths, in order to gain the Certificate. 3. The number of candidates who sat for the WASC Hausa examination in 1961 was 152. 4. Our records show that Hausa was set in the Northern Region in 1961. http://www.cambridgeassessment.org.uk/news/statement-in-response-to-nigerian-presidential-election-enquiries/ Well, Nigerians has obviously been inundating Cambridge with their requests and propaganda, hence they have added additional notes as found above for clarifications. It's there for all to see that indeed Cambridge WASC used the grades 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9. And they set exams for Hausa in 1961. Infact they even provided the total number of candidates that sat for Hausa in the year in question. And for those claiming WASC does not provide certificate for candidates that did not pass maths, you have your answer there already. Nobody can push the People's General around, I am confident at the appropriate time, he'll authorize Cambridge to release the result from source to the Nigerian public and shame all the liars. 19 Likes 2 Shares

This explanation does not preclude the possibility that Buhari did not sit for the exam and is only parading forged statement of result. Buhari should request for his certificate/statement of result from Cambridge to put the matter to rest! 10 Likes |

They make decisions at a strategic time. I am sure if 50 years from now someone is doubting your WAEC result you will be taken aback. Infact you'll be angry.
