This is a message from the APC Presidential Candidate Gen. Buhari "Fellow Nigerian, People accuse me of many things. But one thing they never accuse me of is corruption. They never accuse me of mediocrity, or of lying. People accuse me of many things. I have led this country and I have a record. We were not perfect, but we were effective; we solved problems, and we made Nigerians proud. In our government, we fought corruption, we stabilised the Naira, and we shut down insurgencies. We shouldn't forget so soon that there was the Maitatsine ravaging the North east and we dealt with it. We also overran the Chadian rebels. We rebuilt industries, Nigerians queued up and treated each other with respect; Nigerians took pride in our reputation for discipline. The world admired us. We were proud to be Nigerians. However, because they can't attack our record, they accuse me falsely of ethnic jingoism; they accuse me falsely of religious fundamentalism. Because they cannot attack our record, they accuse us falsely of calling for election violence - when we have only insisted on peace. Even as Head of State, we never imposed Shariah. All my running mates have been either Igbo or Yoruba and are always devout Christian of indisputable repute. I have and will continue to condemn those who burn God's places of worship, be they churches or mosques and wish God's judgment upon them. As your President, their punishment won't stop there, we will also ensure Boko Haram and other such elements, are found, are arrested and face the full wrath of the law as punishment for their crimes against our country. My dear friends, this is very important to note: It doesn’t matter if you are Igbo,Yoruba, Ijaw, Hausa, Idoma, Efik, Ekwere, Urhobo, Igala and, no, it does not matter if you are Christian, Muslim, animist or atheist: we need a new direction under a new leadership. The task ahead will be challenging and daunting, but it is surmountable. This is what leadership is about. My only desire is to prove to you that Nigeria can truly work. Allow me prove to you that in your lifetime, you can be proud of this country. Let me make you this promise today: We will protect your children. We will protect your wealth. We will make this country work again. This is why I am running for the office of the president of Nigeria. This is my promise." - Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR). Let's spread this simple message of hope and truth. Help translate it to all our indigenous languages, let's all obtain our PVC, pray for peace, go out on the 14th of FeBuhari, 2015 to vote for a change that will bring true liberation to Nigeria and all Nigerians. This is our civic responsibility. Thank you and God bless 14 Likes 2 Shares |

I think Buhari needs to do some Interview on AIT or maybe a press conference somewhere around next week and bury the certificate issue and address this propaganda video against him. That's the only way people are gonna be more accepting of him else they will obviously believe this propaganda and either choose not to vote at all or vote for GEJ. And if PDP tries to keep going with that propaganda afterwards they will just look pretty desperate plus it really wont work that well anymore. Or they can just ignore or reply weakly and lose votes. 1 Like |

Let PDP focus on issues. If you havent read Charles Soludos Piece,Please do. Lets Argue facts and Figures http://dailypost.ng/2015/01/26/charles-soludo-buhari-vs-jonathan-beyond-election/ http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/173629-premium-times-special-bitter-truths-about-economy-the-jonathan-govt-does-not-want-nigerians-to-know.html Lets focus on the issues not the personalities. If you think things are hard in the COuntry now, you aint seen nothing yet. Luxury tax( which is supposed to be one of the austerity measures)contributes 0 percent to the GDP. State Government will sack cos there would be lesser oil money to pay staff. Federal Agencies will sack for the same reason. Lesser cake for everybody to eat will also cause massive sack in private sector. You think unemployment is high ? Please read the links above and cross check the fact and figures. If not for anything, for your born/unborn children, Nigeria needs serious change unless ofcourse you can afford to give birth in the US. 3 Likes |

brainbox2014: Crook. You carefully wrote "rail project" instead of Lagos Metro Rail Transport System. Even Great Britain, USA, China and countries as rich/poor as Nigeria borrow to finance such huge projects. There are at least 8million daily commuters in Lagos; if Lagos Metro was not cancelled by Buhari, it would have survived and since paid off whatever money borrowed to finance it. Lateef Jakande till today says it that his greatest regret in politics is his Lagos Metro project which Buhari cancelled. Buhari cancelled the project because it was not meant for Buhari's north. Above all, Murtalla Mohammed had before then concluded plans to transfer Nigeria's capital from Lagos to the north. 3 Likes

what I know is PDP has got it wrong since 1999, if they have failed to turn around things in Nigeria, there is no reason why we should continue to support them. 1 Like |

TO ALL REASONABLE NIGERIANS: If Buhari was pictured attending a mosque, and it was reported that the Imam said 'he would open the gates to hell upon those who oppose Buhari', and Buhari sat there and said nothing, what do you think many people would be saying today? If Buhari was pictured going to different mosques and kneeling before Imams, as part of his campaign, what do we think the comments would be? If Buhari was pictured going on pilgrimage to Mecca, surrounded by a retinue of fawning Imams, what would the response be from Nigerians? If Buhari invited senior Imams from across the country to a meeting with him, to discuss the elections and his campaign strategy, what would the Nigerian people think? GEJ has done all the above, and we are told he has a right to do so as a committed christian. Buhari has done none of the above yet he is called a religious fundamentalist with a plan to turn Nigeria into an Islamic nation. Please examine the facts so we can honestly decide who is acting like the real religious fundamentalist? Who is using religious faith as a political ploy to get votes? 14 Likes 2 Shares |

PassingShot: Me too, that's what I'm expecting. They did launch a site with facts on Buhari's regime www.buhari.ng but due to unexpected high traffic volume, they are migrating buhari.ng to a more robust server. So it's not available at the moment. However, I opened the site before it went down and I'm impressed. Lots of achievement were shown there, achievements that will make Jonathan look like the fisherman he is. I hope they do more, PDP are just enjoying their incumbency power, nothing more. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Seun: Disturbing? That really is quite unfair. What you should call disturbing is the heightened injustice in this country of which I am a victim of, the genocide in the North East, the excessive corruption, mediocres in power, ritualistic killings, unemployment, etc. If you feel these wil die natural deaths, we are definitely not going anywhere. Continuity of mediocre governance in the federal level is not in our interest. Many keep paying with their blood. 2 Likes |
