Very sensible thing to do. No need to apply brake to a moving train.
Let GEJ go and debate Dbanj, or he has Chekwas Okorie to debate. Our president in waiting has no time for fraudulent debate.

In the future, the NEDG should comprise solely journalists of the private media, and one or two journalists from the govt-owned media. The heads of the NOA and Tourism board shouldn't be part of the group.

He knows people won't understand 70% of what he will say hence the fear .

If he doesn't trust that body the both should put head together and bring up another instead of making excuses.

It's now obvious that this man is an illiterate.
Like seriously, why is he scared of debate?
Anyway he took the right decision, because the effect of going for the debate is more catastrophic than the affect of boycotting it.
This remind me of the saying, "it's better to keep quiet let others think you are a fool than opening your mouth and clear all doubts".

GMB is a wise man.

BUHARI IS AVOIDING COMMITTING FURTHER OFFENCES DURING THE DEBATE.

What answers shall Buhari give to the following questions if he goes to the debate?

1, Where is your secondary school leaving certificate?
2, Did you enroll into the Nigerian Army without requisite academic credentials then?
3, Why did you swear to an affidavit that the army secretariat is having your certificates, but the secretariat says it is not having your certificates?

Please help us answer this question.

Will GEJ attend a debate organized by sahara reporters, the nation newspaper and premium times?

If your answer is no. Then shut up. Thank you

God bless you

How would anyone expects Buhari to attend a debate organised by an evil triumvate which include AIT which recently aired a propaganda filled with hate and ill motive even to the point of taunting him with the death of his wife and daughter

If Buhari follows through with the boycott, it would be the second time he has boycotted a debate. In 2003, he boycotted that year's presidential debate.

Re: Buhari Boycotts Presidential Debate by Sanchez01: 3:57pm On Jan 29, 2015
I'm totally in support of this. A biased body being in charge of a much anticipated debate will only stir an uproar. GMB should ignore the debate until a neutral body comes up with one.

In 2011, GEJ boycotted one as well. Let a fair body organize the debate.

Buhari will not win, he knows questions like sharia will come up, human right, and coup, which up till now he is still adamant and unrepentant abt wad he did to nigeria. Sai jona. Guess he does not want us to know where is certificate is. Avoiding such questions

This would be a bad move on Buhari's part. Although the debate organizers are members of govt parastatals, the debate panel comprises seasoned journalists who have built stellar reputations over a period of time.
Buhari should have used the opportunity provided by the debate to, once and for all, clear all misconceptions about him and expatiate on his manifesto.
You have a point though...but the "Oluwole" General sees the Debate as something "haramic".
