I have opened a thread on this before but I deemed it necessary to open another one. Please Mod, Don't vex.

Folake is my sister, a teacher with Ekiti state Government. She had been attending Oau ife Teaching Hospital where she was directed to Lagos to do a CRANIAL CT SCAN. She did this at Lasuth and brought the result back to Ife. With the result, she has to undergo surgery base on the result of the CT SCAN. The surgery is just to confirm what exactly her problem is not treatment.

The surgery shows that she has cancer which had eaten deep into the scull around her brain. The Doctors prescribed surgery for her.
Yet there is an ongoing strike hindering the progress of everything.
We recently move her to Lagos and she was admitted to Luth under private hand and we have to pay 25k each day. At Luth, we were told that there is no need for surgery but instead she has to do two (2) treatments. Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy.

Yet,there is an ongoing strike hindering everything. The machine for the Radio-therapy can not be accessed because of the strike.
The doctor suggested that since her condition needs urgent attention, that he can link us to good Hospital in Ghana where they can do it.

Our problem now is that we will need about 12,500 Dollars according to the doctors in Ghana. This will include hotel bill and feeding plus transport.

Please if there is anything you want to ask me to verify the authenticity of my story please do not hesitate to ask. I can even supply the numbers of all the doctors that have involved both in ife and Luth even the contact of the Ghana.

As at now Blood is still oozing out from her nose.

The Doctor says we have to do something urgently But we have exhausted all we have and we have to move her back home.

Please My people, I plead to you in the name of God. HELP SAVE FOLAKE.

OUR PARENT ARE BOTH RETIRED and we cannot even let them know the present condition because my mummy will surely react bad just simply say.

I actually have the contacts of most of the doctors which I will be willing to drop for verification purpose.
But I dont know if I can drop it here because of security.

The name of the Oncology Doctor is Dr. Habib
ENT Doctor is Dr. Ohuche @ Ife.
Another ENT doctor is Dr. Odugbe Also @Ife (Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital)

@kinolaola, sorry about your sister's situation. I hope she beats this. However if you want more people to rise to donating towards her care, you need to give us copies of her tests and some bills. You can upload them here and take them down later.The faster you do this the better. I dont think its a good idea posting the numbers of her doctors here.

What stage is her cancer at the moment? $12,500 roughly 3 million naira. How much have you raised so far? I believe the treatment cab start with a percentage of that amount, so it's important you speak with the hospital there.

@dominique Thanks you. My joy will no no bound if we can get over this.

I cant say exactly what the stage is because I found it difficult to understand the jargons contained in the tests. But with Doctor Habib in Lasuth where they attended to her last before we moved her back home because of money. The Dr. says She has a lot of energy in her because of her youthfulness and that is why she is still coping. He recommended that we do something urgently because of the stage of the cancer because it already eating through the skull to her brain which make even the treatment more delicate. I hope I can drop Folake's number so that she can give more details. She is weak and the voice is not as strong as it used to be. But she can still tell you details. she knows more than me as regard to this matter. Can I drop her numbers?

As per the money involved $12500, it is complicated because it is like they are charging even for the previous treatment she has. But we are still trying to sort out that between Dr. Habib (The current Dr.) and the Ghanian hospital. One of the reasons I also want TEHN to involve so that their team can verify to see that we don't spend unnecessary.

Amen thanks. I'm not a TEHN member but i know they have a lot on their plate at the moment. But that doesn't mean we can't solicit for funds through other means. I've dropped your thread on their official thread. Let's see how it goes.

We have to go to Luth this week for test again and we spent a total of N149,450 for test and other things.
On Thursday, we went to Eko hospital for chemo and we also payed N132, 000 to start the radiotherapy.

We decided to go that way because the money involved on Ghana issue is about 3million naira

Thank you very much. I was actually waiting for Tehn may be they can help as that would make people have more trust.

But unfortunately, I have not heard from them and at the moment I hardly sleep because of this .

I dont know if Tehn we respond and if they will do, when?

However, for a number of reasons TeHN has resolved not to officially take up another medical case as these cases always stretch us beyond our capacity, and even if TeHN has to reconsider that stand, we have a lot on our hands right now to take up another case.

What is the name of the hospital in Ghana ?

The eko hospital, the one at Randle Surulere have very good ENT's that i know have succssfully treated ENT cancer.

BTW, provide the nubian account numbers. The ones that start with 00 or 01.
