The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, has been advised by the Presidency to clear his name from the allegations of forgery in his secondary school credentials.

According to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, Buhari "must stop taking Nigerians for granted and show some leadership qualities by taking personal responsibility for clearing his name of charges of forgery and lying on oath."

The President's aide said that it was inconceivable that allegations as weighty as forgery and perjury would be made against the person of a retired General and a former Head of State without him deeming it necessary to conclusively debunk such allegations but would rather pass the buck to other persons or organisations.

Okupe said, "We consider this as an unstatesmanlike assault on the intelligence of Nigerians and it represents the greatest challenge between Gen Buhari and the office he seeks to occupy.

"It will be recalled that Buhari has in the last few weeks domiciled the custody of his secondary school certificate in three different quarters namely the Military Board, his former secondary school and now the Independent National Electoral Commission.

"Unfortunately for the APC candidate, the examinations body, WAEC, which has the final say on this issue, has also recently declared that it does NOT have any records of Buhari’s secondary school certificate just as the military authorities did.

"Nigerians will also recall that despite Gen. Buhari’s sordid past and shoddy performance while in government as military Head of State and Chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund, the only two factors which his propagandists have hinged his candidacy on are his supposed incorruptibility and integrity.”

Buhari is yet to accept or reject the result published by the principal of his almamater. He knows that the document published by the principal was faked.

He first said his certificate is with the military. Then he said its with his almamater (when the military denied him). Now he's saying it's with INEC (when the principal gaffed by providing a forged statement of result instead of the authentic result). That guy is dribbling us more than Maradona grin

Buhari should be a man of integrity and tell us the truth smiley.

Why all these noise?
Take him to court if you care.
Else, allow us focus on making sure a 'probable' SSCE holder doesn't become the face of Nigeria.

Forging/faking certificate to aspire to the highest position with threat of violence if rejected is now a serious business in nigeria.
Methink people whose first names ended in U should be allow to go scot free whenever they are caught.

One time, it was with the SMB, other time with WASC and recently with INEC does not sound good especially when the Principal, should I say erroneously released one with questionable mark.

God bless President GEJ. Victory is sure by God's grace.

General Muhammadu buhari is not an employee or Aide of the President. He owes the President and his team no explanation with respect to his academic and professional qualifications. If the President have any kind of objection, he should go to court. Sai Buhari

#BuharMustDebate

buhari and his supporters have woefully failed! Buhari has been campaigning amidst this scandal, has refused to debate BUT his supporters have failed to hold him accountable.

Btw, what moral right has buhari got to chide the governments strides in education when he himself isn't educated?

Buhari blamed Goodluck and d PDP for the mass failures in WASSCE, abi Jona and PDP dey when he failed he's in 1961 ni (that's if it wasn't forged)?

SMH!
