If Nigeria didn't approve that then Chad is marching on Nigeria's sovereignty.

The policies of territorial integrity and non intervention, clearly state that. But I wanna believe Nigeria gave consent and part of their sovereignty to Chad.

All is well shaa

Your reasoning is sub par.

Boko Haram is not just a Nigerian problem.

It is a regional problem, that affects many countries including Nigeria and Chad.

It is obvious that you are unaware of a multinational joint task force involving Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, Niger and lately Benin republic.

Terror groups thrive along border towns because they can cross borders to evade a countries military when being pursued.

However, with a joint multinational task force in place, the terrorists can no longer evade attack across borders as the joint force is also free to continue pursuit across borders.

My friend, if you know the current state of Nigeria's military right now you will weep bitterly. Nigeria cannot handle Boko Haram by itself that is just the simple truth. It has reached a point where if nothing is done those guys are getting ready to overrun neighbouring countries as well, hence the need for a multinational force to intervene.
There is no need for consent specifically as long as there is an understanding between the countries involved.

Much as I share your view ,it would be wrong to quickly conclude that the military action was illegally carried out. For your information, Chad is one of the four countries that have agreed to contribute forces against the insurgents. It could therefore be imputed that the action was rightly done. op must havhe pasted an incomplete information.
I presumed the headies reads MNJF ....not Chad
The multinational force to be comprised of about 4 nations is still a proposal.Chad unilaterally pulled its troops out of that near baga late last yr.
Am pretty sure that this recent air raids are being carried out unilaterally by chad.

How long does it take for a terrorist to changed his ideology ........... The answer is simple ,an Islamic terrorist can never repent - Buhari and his kinsmen are bombing their own people to get power at all cost. Why won't they bomb their people after all the people we call their own people are the conquered Hausas , Kanuris and other minorities of the North even as Christians are not spared.

http://www.punchng.com/news/military-arrests-general-senior-officers-over-baga-attack/

The authorities of the Nigerian military have arrested senior Army personnel on attachment to the Multi National Joint Task Force.

Those arrested and placed under movement restriction are a Brig. Gen, a Lt. Col. and five other officers of the Nigerian Army deployed to the Baga headquarters of Multinational Joint Task Force, which was attacked and taken over by members of the Boko Haram sect on January 5, 2015.

Investigations revealed that the military authorities arrested the Brigadier-General and six other officers including a Lt. Col. in Maiduguri and moved them to Abuja for questioning.

The arrested officers are expected to answer questions on the loss of men and location, and military equipment which were taken over by the insurgents.

It was learnt that Baga came under attack barely 48 hours after the Army moved weapons to fortify the place in anticipation of a well-coordinated onslaught against the insurgents.

There you guys go again. You guys keep yelling and talking about how illegal it is and how clueless the president is. Nigeria has been trying to acquire several fighter jets that are suitable for the military operations in the north-east but the U.S has blocked them severally. The jets we have aren't suitable for hitting targets within civillian environments. It's either we continue waiting for God to touch the Americans so they can sell to us,or we take proactive steps and improvise so as not to lose too many men and weapons in ground combat. Getting chad involved, will allow them use certain fighter jets that Nigeria do not have,to bomb and weaken enemy strong holds. Nigerian troops can then go in and do mop up. That way,we do not have to stay handicapped by our inability to get those hardwares from the U.S. I'd rather see things as a glass of water half full, than half empty.
