While Buhari and his cohorts are busy scheming on how to wrestle power back from the minority, his people he and his likes impoverished are busy fighting the fight of their lives against a group he(buhari) gave legality by declaring "he'd use every strenght in him to ensure sharia takes root in every nook and cranny of Nigeria".
Years of misrule and neglect of the north by our past northern leaders gave birth to bokoharam. All they did was use and dump this boys via religion.
But their eyes see better now. Once beaten, twice shy. They can no longer trust their insatiable looting oligarchs like Buhari, Danjuma etc. They now believe that their futre is in their hands.
Thank God GEJ who built Almajiri schools for the North so that we will have little or no ready recruits for BOKOHARAM in future.
Go get 'em boys!

GEJ till 2019 and then a sane young Northerner with CERTIFICATE continues...... cool

Ffucking awesome. I got goose-bumps checking out the shots of these wild men who faced death to protect their city.

It is one thing for a trained soldier to go into battle, but it takes entirely another level of balls-out bravery to pick up a frigging machete or muzzle-loader gun, and then board a truck with fellow civilians, all chanting war songs, to head into battle against invading hordes armed to the teeth with infantry weapons.

That, my friends is what is known as "Chutspah" in Yiddish, or more simply, heroism, in the face of overwhelming odds, in plain English.

the civilian JTF do mop up and pick up wounded enemy and stragglers.
they are the reason you see enemy KIA without "trousers".
they are not frontline shock troops.

Still and all, my hat is off to them guys. When the battle is raging, the front-line can shift in seconds and anyone, civilian or military, can find themselves under brutal, withering fire, with no escape in sight. It takes balls of steel to drive TOWARDS gunfire, when every cell in your body is screaming for you to run away from the roar of heavy weapons.

Every last one of those men is a hero in my book, and their supporting role to the military must not be underestimated. If those guys decide to recycle items of clothing off dead enemy combatants, it just goes to show how desperately poor and deprived their normal every day lives have been all along, which in my humble opinion makes their bravery, even on the periphery of war, all the more remarkable and praiseworthy.

Go to even peaceful states in d north like Sokoto,Kebbi etc and U will see 90% of children of school age playing about on school days during school hours,d few that attend any form of school go to quranic schools where they go to cram Arabic wc is almost useless to a Nigerian.
Alhajis who can barely feed themselves r still marrying 4 wives n giving birth to twenty something children.
When all these ppl get frustrated and unleash their frustration on d society tomoro, they will start looking for a Goodluck to blame,if they don't see him, they'll accuse Israel or America.

Who says. Some of them are also in the front line. Why do u think there has been recent successes against bharam?
The thing is that like d bharam fanatics, many of these civilian jtf members aint afraid of death and have the added incentive of knowing they are fighting for the survival of their communities, wives, aged parents and vulnerable children and sisters.
Let no one take away their glory.
Kudos to civilian jtf.

You'd be surprised how folks can transfer such ferocity in to real battle field scenarios especially if one has had pre requisite knowledge and experience...
not that we expect couch potatoes like yourselves to understand but...**shrugs**

25 mm cannons are too cumbersome with high recoil when fired from an open hatch view that is why they are carried by Fighter jets,Frigates and Destroyers. Most are not commonly found in Russian ICVs...That there should be a 30mm auto cannon 2A72..Standard Russian muscle.
