I dont expect a landslide , when one factors there would be rigging mostly in PDP states, the collection rate of PVCs as at last count in some APC States are also not encouraging 36% in Lagos, 38% in Ogun , 37% in Imo, 48% in Oyo, 52% in Kano, all these states fall short of National average collection rate of 63%. I hope to witness an appreciable leap in PVC collection in those states, expecially lagos, Oyo and Kano, a man with no PVC can not be mobilized on election day.

GMB will win anyways though.

A friend was just too enthusiastic and sure of A LANDSLIDE victory for his candidate Mr Buhari. Although he failed to buttress his submission with convincing reasons, I know he's influenced by social media.

I began to ask him, how many Northern politicians has he seen on Buhari's campaign rostrum? How many prominent Northern leaders has he sighted following Buhari?

How many Northern govs or ex govs has he heard speaking convincingly about Buhari's presidency? My guy was dumbfounded.

The people you see gallivanting around Mr Buhari are Tinubu, Odigie-Oyegun, Amaechi, Osinbajo, Ngige, fashola, Saraki. I told him, to an average northern politician, Buhari is Tinubu's candidate for the North.

Their lacklustre is understandable, Yar'Adua was OBJ's candidate and they know the end of that unholy romance.
The Northerners are waiting patiently for their own choice in 2019 and to them, Tinubu is simply having a Brazillian carnival in Nigeria.

Corruption is now legalised in Nigeria thanks to Jonathan. They gave us crony capitalism and called it "power privatisation" yet all Nigerians gained in return is darkness. We could go on all day but the conclusion is that GEJ's 5 years have been a total waste for Nigerians. We have gone backwards horribly under this inept and accidental leader. I also work in the grassroots and most people consider the APC as bokoharm and buhari as the poster boy of that outfit,nobody wants boko in aso rock,women including market women from all works of life are firmly behind Patience and most folks including the electorate consider GEJ as human,humble and easy going unlike Buhari who they consider as brash,arrogant and wicked. All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has promised to provide allowances to discharged but unemployed Youth Corps members for Twelve (12) months while in the skills and entrepreneurial development programmes, if elected in 2015. There is also the pledge to provide One Meal a day for all Primary school pupils.

Buhari/Osibanjo administration also vow to create a Social Welfare Program of at least Five Thousand Naira (N5000) that will cater for the 25 million poorest and most vulnerable citizens upon the demonstration of children’s enrolment in school and evidence of immunisation to help promote family stability.

“As a nation and the Sub Saharan Africa’s leading energy producer, we had in the past squandered the opportunity to build functional infrastructure to better the lives of the average Nigerian. We can no longer afford this luxury of inactivity. We must revive our public and private sectors in order to provide functional services and secure the good of the individual Nigerian and his or her family,” Buhari said in a document that reveals some of his plans for 2015.

The more I go back to read Prof Soludo's write up.....the more it's clear as a summer day that Nigeria need a breather from GEJ and his crew.

The figures reeled up by the Prof are really scary and depressing.... Nigerians will not let this opportunity pass by to get rid of PDP.
