On the 26th of June, 2013, a unit from the Nigerian Army Special Forces launched what was described as a ‘well-coordinated assault’ on the location of Shekau and his ilk following the identification of the area by the Joint Task Force (JTF). Shekau was with his lieutenants during the assault but it was not before long that the army unit ran into some problems and before the smoke could clear, Fambiya and other soldiers had been killed
someone among them has betrayed him because of the knowledge of the environment he poses

I'm lost for words. I'm close to tears.

Jonathan has totally finished the Nigerian Army. cry cry cry

With all the chaos at Liberia, nigeria never lost so much commissioned officers during the ECOMOG era. Same for all the UN peace keeping missions to Congo, Ruwanda, etc.

The army top brass have been eaten deep by corruption. Chai ! They sit down and watch their colleagues wasted on nigerian soil

People should vote BUHARI. any other human being except Jonathan!

This guy you be idi.ot Is it Jonathan that told some people to refuse to educate their children and enlighten them. This BH guys have parents for Gods sake. They only know how to give birth to children and do nothing about training them.

please apply some reasoning to your brain. How can a C.I.C sabotage his own men. Ever since Goodluck Jonathan worn the 2011 elections terrorist acts has been on the increase in the North East. What will Jonathan gain by faking acts of terrorism against his own government?
.
Maybe it was Jonathan that also incited the useless almajiris to go on rampage killing corp members after Buhari lost the 2011 election.

The Sultan of sokoto and Buhari must be sent these pictures of the pride of Nigeria. The should call their foot soldiers to order immediately. The blood of these gallant and fearless young men are crying out for justice. Buhari, tell your boko haram boys: 'enough is enough'. Nigeria is much bigger than buhari's vaunting ambition or APC win at any costs. If the Sultan puts the 'fatwa' on his errant boys, then we will continue with transformation of the blighted north east, with a modified Marshall plan, as promised by the Jonathan administration.

So many women have turned to widows all because of Boko Haram and they are not adequately taken care of because of the corruption in the military. embarassed embarassed

Can't wait for Buhari to become my next president.

Enough is Enough!!!

RIP gallant soldiers.
Be careful what you wish for. BH is not ending anytime soon. This is a religious idiology which can only be stopped by imams in the north.

Putting faces to this crisis rally brings it home.
RIP to the brave men fighting for the freedom of the rest.
I feel sorry for them because they are being betrayed by their bosses who siphon away the trillions meant for this fight and by the Clueless C in C who while i don't believe he can sponsor Boko haram, allows the corruption in the military to continue without doing anything about it.
May any politician supporting Boko Haram either by being sponsors or by being inept at their job lose their kids the way these guys have died.
So hurt!

I find it hard to believe that after looking in the eyes of these fallen soldiers, some Nigerians still plead on behalf of the cowardly traitors found guilty of desertion or mutiny rather than fight boko haram. No one life is more important than the other. These too could have chosen not to fight but they choose the path of honor.

The govt should do what is right and carry out the death sentences prescribed by law without further delay. Every day they are kept and sustained is a day of injustice to the Nigerian state and the heroes above.

REALHEROES
Fellow Nigerians, as you can see these soldiers came from all parts of Nigeria, different religions and died serving their fatherland. Out of respect to them, let us refrain from tribal and religious colouring and come together to celebrate Nigeria.
Only we can make Nigeria great again.

God Bless Nigeria
