I intended getting core i3 and above but hands are tight atm, sch work(typing) heavy internet surfing and maybe gaming and movie

Zyzxx and others, I think I'm having an issue with my dell inspiron laptop. For a while now, it takes a whole lot of time before it boots. Normally, it took nothing more than 15 secs, but now, it takes more than a minute.

After the dell logo is displayed, a black screen appears and remains there for quite a while. What do you think the problem could be?

Also, my gta san andreas suddenly stopped working. When loading, it displays an error message stating gta_sa.exe has stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Funny enough, I opened it last night without any issue.

I tried running a system restore, but it couldn't complete successfully due to a program protected by the avast antivirus.

Please help!

PS: The Laptop runs on a Windows 8.1 OS.

Just post any problems you are having with your pc here. The more software related, the better.

If you're having virus, worms or any other malware problems. Try scanning your PC with RoboSAM first.

I have a disturbing system challenge...i noticed that my modem cannot browse after i have used it once unless i restart d system. I checked Google 2 find a solution 2 it, but i got info dat restarting d system is d only way 2 resolve dis issue. Pls, does anyone in d house have a solution 2 dis issue without a restart of d system?

If it is what you listed above the laptop there is the last thing you would be looking at except you would remove gaming from the list.

50k and yes gaming can be expunged. I really like that laptop, i've seen someone used it but the windows os, the HD webcam, the cooling system after like 5hrs of usage it was never hot and zero noise. I don't know why jumia has the linux tho, that's the prob bro

You can always get someone to install windows 8 for you. Should cost like extra 5k or so.

You may end up liking Linux. It does support OpenOffice and other applications.

Its typically a Dell issue. It's neither the charger nor battery. I have a brand new Dell laptop and it does the same thing.
@times blowing into the both the charger and laptop connector helps.

try to use another battery to test your pc if it's still the same kindly use another charger to charge your system so as to know whether is the battery or the charger that has fault

Thank you very much deji, I have checked the site, it was mentioned that it comes with a window driver (trial version tho) but even if it doesn't, 'would I be able to use it(linux os) Will I be able to use/install basic softwares like on windows (chrome,mozillaa,skype, vlc, micrsoft(everything) etc

I'm using windows 8 on HP envy m6. My WiFi rarely shows. When it shows, it won't connect to any wireless network. Bt whenever it connects, I will only be able to browse 4a little time b4 it starts showing unlimited connection. Wen I try to disconnect & reconnect, the WiFi will just disappear again. I'm sick of this. Pls help me out. What re d tins I need to do. Thanks in anticipation.
