Please house, am presently on www.booking.com to book a room temporarily, though I wasn't asked to pay for it beforehand but I was asked to put in my credit card number, so as to confirm the booking. Please, hope it's safe and who has used booking.com before please? |

deaero:VFS has the document. They will give it to you to tick and sign. If they forget to give it to you, request for it. Oh lucky you, I was able to google my way to the document for you to download http://www.za2au.australia.tpcontact.co.uk/sites/all/themes/TLSConnect/documents/SOUTH%20AFRICA%20-%20Student%20visa%20checklist%20570%20to%20580%20v2_0.pdf 1 Like |

Zenkel:thanks a lot bro. Secondly is birth certificate compulsory to provide as I don't have any currently with me? I also thought they have a special SVP checklist. Though the for looks generalised for all level assessment and all visa type. |

Thank you all for the Insults. I am not surprised at your feedbacks. Most of you are kids. Most kids of nowadays have lost morale value(s). @ seun, remember those days at Ife in the early 2000,when you left engineering to develop your dream of programming. Please get rid of all these kids from your forum. |

okoomoge2: Never knew you were that Old and i'd really want to apologize on behalf of the thread members(your Children) for disrespecting their big Uncle. Now i understand when people say that age & wisdom aren't directly proportional cos you're the one behaving like a kid. This is a forum where aspiring immigrants come together to help themselves and reason together but the best thing you felt you could contribute is by coming here and talk about Australia's unemployment rate. There are lots and lots of BLACK SKINNED successful professionals & entrepreneurs even in the UK where unemployment is almost double compared to Australia. If you're finding things very difficult, diagnose yourself, detect where the problem lies and work on fixing it. Unemployment has always been a global issue and everyone is aware of that but you can NEVER compare Australia with Nigeria in any way....its not as if people on this thread are thinking of entering Australia and pick money on the streets. If you can graduate here in Nigeria, get certifications and land a good job in Nigeria without anybody's help, i see no reason why it should be tougher to land a good job in Australia if you get the right education and move with the right people. 5 Likes |

johnsontade: Leave that metuselah jare. Almost everybody here has a Bachelor's degree. Or is it the skilled migrants on this thread with degrees, certifications and many years of experience? No one is going there expecting to pick money on the streets. We are all leaving to get a good life for the number of years spent slaving under mean lecturers in Nigerian universities. If it was so bad there, why is he still there? Take a dose of your own medicine okoomoge2...come back to Naija where there is no unemployment na...abi? 1 Like |

okoomoge2: I hate to be rude bro. But sir, I guess that was your first post on this thread and it was all negative - nothing encouraging at all. Sir, we've had enough of the negativity and bullshitttt so if you can't spill something motivating, sir. Then shut that thing please! By the way, since you believe all nairalanders are kids, why not get your ancestors to join the forum? PS: We're still waiting for your application and 1k processing fee for the well-sought-after immigration job and we look forward to seeing you at the stadium for your entry exercise. okoomoge2: I will not hesitate to commend your post and trying to advice our brothers and sisters what is at stake. I support people migrating to oversea for either temporary or permanent only with conditions. It pains me most when people become so much ecstatic in that regard. Australia is a beautiful country from my own perspective but there a lot of limitations be it citizen, pr or tr as the case may be. Either you are considered as a black citizen, pr or tr, its really causing a lot of psychological and mental hallucination among the affected individuals. It is my objective to travel because of the fact that i don't have much thing doing here but upon the completion of studies, i will find my way to this country and establish instead of transiting to another country every time with my family including the risk attached. Some of them may not understand what you are saying either as inexperience or immaturity as you earlier said but the truth must be enacted. Australia is hard at the moment, life there is really tough, so you guys should just take it easy. I have two mature graduate of University in Australia here beside me that refused to comment, they are just laughing the way you people rate this country. Both of them have the opportunity for 2 year postgraduate work permit and qualified for pr as well but they derided to return to seek a better life here in Nigeria. It said that work is hard to get and people find it hard to live with the rates of their wages currently and high tax deductions and opt to sharing accommodation. Let me just stop here and see if there will be sensible response before i further. |

kokobi99: What do you mean we don't understand?did you go through his posts.he was talking about unemployment and undergraduate program in australia.we only asked for facts and he got upset.who says australia is honey and milk?as long you are not first class citizen don't expect them to treat you equally.even ordinary Ghana is hard not talk of oyibo land.if you don't know what you are going to do there you definitely SUFFER.nobody is immature here majority of us here are going to work very few are going for masters and phds. Instead of him to talk maturely give us facts answer our questions he confused himself talking about Ile ife and seun.like seriously?? 2 Likes |

I can remember I meet one nairalander on a socio network and we got talking and he told me he is schooling in australia.I just asked him how is the place.he just started behaving like a physco,he was like "do I know anyone in australia?" And I was like "no" and that was how he kept saying "you don't know anywhere in australia how will I get to my school"(imagine educated person asking such question),he now went on "I will help you to settle down, you can stay in my place,I will help with only 3weeks of your arrival",I could not stop laughing,I now asked if "he was okay?that I wanted to ask him something"he just jumped in"he knows that I want to ask him about job that I should not rush"I got so disgusted I had to ask him "if he knows the school I will be attending and he said no.I just had to block him |

kokobi99: My former neighbour, when I was younger, was killed because of a relatively inexpensive car....He drove 5mins to the estate gate to buy suya, and was dead in 6. Another oil company young dude was killed because of a prado jeep or so. We spend nothing less than 5k on fuel every week, on a 2.7kva gen. You work one job in Nigeria like you are working 2 jobs...and get paid as one job. You spend half your life in traffic. Yes, traffic is everywhere...but when you work on the island but cant afford to live there, you move to Mowe/Sango/Ogba/IyanaIpaja. Wake up by 4am, just so you can get to work before 8. You dont clise by 5 cos your boss expects you to stay longer, even though you are not paid overtime. Your kid wants to attend uni...it's either you can afford to pay expensive foreign fees, pay expensive private uni fees where 4yrs is 4yrs, or go through the hurdle of knowong 'somebody' to gain admission, then hoping to God they don't go on a 1 yr strike. You go through all this trouble....and at the end of the day, your degree is equalto an associate degree or just looked down on. To be cont'd 9 Likes |

A country where minimum wage is $18, govt benefits are there to help you out.....you would have to be a drug user or a gambling addict to not afford a fairly okay lifestyle. I was watching Secret Millionaire. The version I watch from other countries, shows homeless ghetto people, poverty stricken people etc..........Australia's version was mainly about the disabled people and a few people luving on the minimum wage line (who by the way looked like they were living better than many Nigerians I see around). Australia is not a land of gold...no where on earth is. But just because someone came here to spew trash (...as far as I am concerned), insulting people, does not mean qe all should swallow it hook line and sinker...(and the fisherman and the boat sef lol). 6 Likes |

I'm quite pleased I have learnt some thing! That saying "hook line and sinker" never meant more than a saying to me...but eh, it means a lot more now lol thanks BossLAdyMo! For other curious minds like mine - "It has its roots in fishing lingo, referring to a fish having fallen for the bait easily; swallowing the hook, the fishing line, and the sinker along with it." My tuppenceworth regarding level of unemployment in Australia is this - As mentioned in many earlier posts, there is no such place where fortune is freestyle. That said, there are enough opportunities in advanced countries - provided you are focus minded and you enjoy the grace of the almighty God. Those that gets caught up in unemployment issues (whether black or white) are those with lackadaisical attitude towards life - these kinda people will struggle even if they migrate to the paradise. The OP on unemployment rate has merely expressed his views through an acutely short-sighted lens - and my advise to him will be to start to see beyond his nose. To all aspiring to travel to Australia, I have heard good stories about people living there - it is apparently on of the best places to live in the world. However, more than anything focus is a fundamental requirement in any where we find ourselves. With the GRACE of God, things often seem effortless. bossladyMo: 6 Likes |
