You don't even need to put ur visaphone sim in the BB to enable it wk.. My phone has Visaphone service but using Glo sim.. So I can switch b/w glo and visaphone BIS

Did mine yesteday.. Paid 3k.. But the network is trash... Not as good as some ppl claim here.. In benin tho.. Was soo disappointed because I really needed to browse on my pc.. But it takes like. 1-2min to open simple pages like nairaland.. But its fast on phone.. Download speed on phone is worse than that of Glo. Anyways.. I'm nt renewing once It expires

Yh..I think it does...someone on my blackberry list just did his own visafone hard-coding. He told me it was a curve7 he used..his pin starts from '3' sha..

My curve 7 doesn't have cdma so not all curve 7 has your friends own must be a special curve. It is only BB tour and curve 4 I have seen that has gsm and cdma all together from the box. To know a phone that can be use go to ur network settings and from the option provide you are bound to find cdma or evdo as network options.

Normal blackberry phones of gsm can be converted to visa phone cdma to get d same service and browse very much faster than visa phone network and gsm network. I have a guy that does it at d moment for pple. Provided the bb curve 4 or bold 5 is direct from verizon.

Its most likely a CDMA device..just take it to ikeja..am sure it can be unlocked..then the rest is easy..
