Hey dammylizzy. I need to ask this question since you had the similar case in the past. What kind of supporting doc you put with your first and second application before got refused? *** Did you write any statement to explain the whole story along with those applications? *** How long did you waited before putting second application in, while your first application was refused? Although, I remembered you said you had to wait for like 2yrs after all those are came unsuccessful, before submitted the third application and was granted at the end. Thank you. God bless you, you have been so kind with your responses and helps... |

girlfio: hi as you know i got hearing date before finishing my reviw deadline. so i asked my husband to show me what has written in letter he sent me. letter is just consist of one page and only hearing date address and hearing procedure written in letter. not a single word written about review and its decision. so i think we have still chance to get overturn bfore court anyday |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by girlfio: 3:36pm On Feb 04, 2015 |
phaara: Usually they will only book a court date if the decision has been made to maintain the refusal. Have you contacted the Leicester tribunal office to see if they've received an update from the Sheffield office? |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by phaara: 3:52pm On Feb 04, 2015 |
girlfio: no i didnot yet. i thought when they didnt mention any thing regarding review decision because i saw ppl updates abt their letter mentioning the review outcome too in appeal hearing letter. so i was just feeling happy but now worried also how to contact them |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by girlfio: 4:20pm On Feb 04, 2015 |
phaara: Telephone number is +44 (0) 0300 123 1711, option 4. You'll need your appeal reference, they should be able to at least give u an update. |

phaara: When you get to the tribunal centre early you will see your name and time of your hearing placed on the door of your courtroom, but they don't usually follow that order as you may be called earlier than stated because some may cancel their court date or come late, so that means if you are there they will call you to come in for your case. |

Lasmab: Dear Lasmab, I'm sorry for the late response. I've been offline for a bit. Now to your questions.... I submitted the same supporting documents I had always sent with my application like marriage certificate, pictures taken before and during courtship, wedding pictures, birthday cards given to each other, utility bills, educational certificates, employment documentations for both of us, bb, Whatsapp and email chat history and the list goes on... With each of the application, we had supporting statements submitted but they were drafted by the solicitors. The last application had supporting statement as well but I wrote that myself giving a storytelling like report. I explained everything that happened in my own words. The intervals between the applications were due to the number of months each application and appeals took and availability of funds. The 2year wait was our own personal decision, it had nothing to do with the embassy. We could have applied during those 2years but we didn't due to the amount of money spent already. I hope this helps. |

dammylizzy: Thank you dammy... I had a supporting statement submitted also, but it was drafted by lawyer. But I am going to write the statement on my own as you advice this time. Well, we're looking to do another application in summer, but money has been a problem though. Thank you so much, your response has made my day.. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by dammylizzy: 8:23pm On Feb 05, 2015 |
Lasmab: Yes please write the statements yourself and make it as detailed as you can remember and I pray God's favour for you. Xx |

Morning house! I decided to follow up my visa application yesterday and emailed the international UKVI enquiry team using the online form. The response I got is below. @justwise Is it possible to decipher any possible clue regarding my application status through this(possibly generic) email please? Thank you Dear Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry Service. We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your visa application. I have tracked the status (GWF************ and date of birth **/**/**** and found that the application has been processed and a decision has been made. Please note that your passport and documentation could still take some time to reach you whilst being sent back from the decision making centre and whilst other administrative formalities are completed. The visa application centre will be in contact with you regarding the collection or delivery. If you have purchased a courier service then your documents will be dispatched to the delivery address you have provided. We appreciate your patience while you wait to receive your documents. We strongly recommend not to book prepaid travel and accommodation before receiving the visa. For any further details, or should you need to contact us again please refer to our website at https://ukvi-international.faq-help.com/, select appropriate country, click next and then select 'E-Mail form' and complete as instructed. We will aim to come back to you within 1 day. Kind regards, Malcolm Scott UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry Service We would like to invite you to participate in a brief survey about the service you received from us to identify strengths and opportunities for improvements. http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/S/130335JPJLG Thank you in advance for your time. midmenconsult: |

Hi, Glad to join this forum. 1) i applied for the spouse settlement Tier 2 visa on the 3rd of November 2014 2) collected my passport on the 17th of November and was refused visa, reason was i did not show enough proof that my husband and i had known each other prior to our wedding despite the pictures and marriage certificates 3) i appealed against the decision on the 20th of November and sent them a 120 page folder of emails, text messages, plane tickets, visas and photos of all the vacations we had taken together ,i also included introduction pictures, registry, trad and white wedding pictures alongside all the pages of my passport and his showing stamps 4) the decision was overturned on the 13th of January and i was even in the Uk then on my visiting visa 5) i have now returned and sent the passport on the 2nd of February, and Dhl has sent the tracking and it has been received on the 4th of Feb Now to my question, how can i get across to them to ask what the status on my passport is , because reading some testimonials here shows that it takes about a week to process and then they can be delay here from the Teleperformance guys. Can anybody advise the email address to ask the status of my passport as i have my final stage Job interview in 10 days and i have been asked to confirm my attendance Thanks |

Hi everyone, I'm happy to finally join this forum. This is one place I have seen genuine responses to issues. I will be applying for my spouse visa next month, its my first time and I don't want to try more than once. . My most pressing question is the English test. Will I need to do the English test since I have my bsc from a private Nigerian university? Waiting for a response.. Thanks |

Freshest04: Has your spouse collated all the necessary supporting documents? |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by girlfio: 2:38pm On Feb 11, 2015 |
Freshest04: I believe all that you would need is the degree certificate and possibly a letter from the university stating that the lessons were tought and assessed in English. It might actually be worth taking the English Test as well, it can't hurt to be over qualified. |

midmenconsult . Reading from your earlier post. You mentioned that all your supporting documents was sent to sheffield by your representative. I am confuse now because I thought applicant suppose to send the Supporting DOC to sheffield from the country they apply from. Why did you sent yours from UK? I want to know if it has been allowed to be send by sponsor or representative. Thank you |

girlfio: I guess I might as well take the English test, cos I read somewhere that to use my Bsc, I'll have to provide my transcript. Its not easy to get my transcript either. |

Lexusgs430: He has started collecting some of the documents. My next concern is my husband's account balance. His annual income is about £24000, so he meets up with the minimum income threshold but his account balance each month is always low. He has so many responsibilities from family and bills, that there is hardly any savings. I don't know if this will affect the application. |
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Lexusgs430: 11:41am On Feb 12, 2015 |
Freshest04: Account balance can be low, so long has he is not spending his overdraft and into negative balance(reason been, if he is in negative prior to your supposed arrival, what would his balance be before you secure a job). NB: Constant use of the account for daily or monthly expenses, proves he is resident and active. |
