What is going to keep taking this country backwards is sentiments. Too much sentiment or ethnicity is shielding some people from seeing who can really do the Job. They promised us refineries when they partially removed subsidy. Now the refineries are yet to be built. Now we hear 30 trillion naira is either stolen or mismanaged and yet some Nigerians still want to vote this government in. I guess those who wants to vote Jonathan in are as Clueless as he is. I believe its best if we try an alternative government and if they don't perform we vote them out too its as simple as that. The power is in our hands for a brighter tomorrow. 9 Likes |

Is President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Really Bad? 1] Goodluck Jonathan signed FOI bill that Obasanjo refused to sign and you join then in saying that Goodluck is bad. 2] Goodluck approved N18,000 Minimum wage from N7,500 Which Obasanjo refused to sign and you say that Goodluck is bad and NYSC allowance from N7,500 to nearly approved N39,500, yet they say he is bad. 3] Goodluck dualized federal roads (about 25,000km) which Obasanjo and past Govts abandoned and you say Goodluck is bad. 4] The rail system is working now, with little budget But Obasanjo Sunk billions of dollars without result, other pasts leader ignored and you say that Goodluck is bad. 5] Goodluck has been conducting free and fair elections whereas the ones conducted under Obasanjo are Shameful and national disgrace yet you say Goodluck is bad. 6] Goodluck established 12 new universities, 9 in the North to improve learning and knowledge and increase the Jambites admission rate, yet you say that Goodluck is bad. 7] Goodluck established the Almajiri system for Northern abandoned street children and those deprived of education by their own people and you say Goodluck is bad. 8] Goodluck has been building dams and improving the country's power from 2500mW to 6,000MW - And successfully privatized the sector which many analyst believed is the best way to go and you joined them say that Goodluck is bad. 9] Agriculture have been revamped and for the first time in Nigerian history, Food prices came down during Christmas, instead of skyrocketing and you say that he is a bad President. 10] 2013 and 2014 was the Christmas in Nigeria, where Nigerian did not sleep in filling stations for 3 to 4 days to get Petrol or 100s of people being roasted alive in attempts to get fuel in petrol stations, wickedly, you joined them to say that our God given President is not performing. 11] Airports are wearing world class looks and every zone have International airport and you say Goodluck is bad. 12] This administration has employed more people in their 5years in office than any other in the history of Nigeria [Via Agric, Energy sector,16 New Car Companies, 12 New Universities, 3,826 primary Health care Centers, Teaching Hospitals] SURE-P, YOUWIN and you say Goodluck is bad. Even if u build 10 refineries, until fuel subsidy, federal xter, quota system is removed they will all die like the previous ones. Our civil service jes like US civil servica cannot run anything on a platter of gold. Remove these hurdles and fdi will flood in like they did in telcoms, aviation, transportation, it etc |

Buhari could not account for $2billion USD as minister of petroleum resources at this time. Going by inflation rate today. This man can be said to be one of the biggest criminals in Nigeria. Remember Naira was worth more than dollar at the time. Nonetheless. If we decide to simply do the maths based on thr rate today. Buhari stole over 400 billion Naira in 1979. 1 Like |

$49 billion, $20 billion, $10.8 billon (from NNPC), N1.7 trillion (Illegal Subsidy payments), N21 billion (illegal donation), N10 billion (Allison's illegal flights), $49 billion per yr, N4bn presidential feeding, N2bn budgeted to build VP residence, $30bn spent on power, yet the country of over 170m Nigerians is still managing less than 3000MW of electricity, N10bn presidential air fleet maintanance, $470m scam cctv for FCT, N30tn from Soludo's recent discovery, $15m South Africa arm procurement scam deal plus the $5.7m, yet the names of the Nigerians involved where not mentioned but the Israeli's name was mentioned, $13m patience jonathan money laundering case, overbudgeted N117bn for 2nd Niger bridge as against a replica constructed for N29bn by the Lagos state government, N968bn security budget, yet Boko haram has been maiming people, ransacking communities and having the numbers of IDPs rise geometrically, N35.4m to feed Aso rock lion's, N20bn pension scam, Immigration job scam, yet the culprit minister involved is still serving and enjoying his loot from the scam recruitment exercise, pardoning of convicted criminals like Bode george and Alameyhsia, Tompolo buying warships in an insane clime like Nigeria, asides the billions of Naira lost to oil bunkering. Just name all the scams and misappropriation of funds under this government, you will weep for Nigeria. They steal in trillions of Naira, and convert them to dollars to make them look small. I wonder how a youth like me, who has an unborn gneration, will comfortably thumbprint for the PDP and jeopardize the future of the unborn all because of bias and false PDP propaganda. Vote for change. After 6years with high revenue, nothing was achieved. How will something be achieved in 4years with less cash inflow? GEJ should declare his assets to Nigerians and the world at large, so we can all see how lucrative politics in Nigeria has been. GEJ is a scam, and I dare anybody with superior logic to enlighten my ignorance that this present administration isn't a hoax. The earlier we drop the bias about ethnicity, religion, age to focus our demand for quality leadership from a selfless leader, the better. If people don't see that this administration has failed woefully, and there's a need to try some other leader, then we will continue to wallow in abject poverty in this country. Poverty level in Nigeria has risen from 54% to 71%, youth unemployment from 9% to 50%, recurrent expenditure from 62% to 86%, national debt from $26bn to $70bn, whilst GDP growth has dropped from 11% to 6%, and excess crude account has dropped from $20bn to $2bn, petrol has risen from 65 to 87 temporarily (97), $1 has risen from N158 to N210. Everything is wrong with Nigeria. Just everything is going wrong. Lets be wise and vote rightly without bias!!! 4 Likes |

Distortions from APCheat yet again. Buhari was Commissioner for Petroleum in March 1976 and also NNPC Chairman till 1978 i.e. about two years. Does anyone know how long it takes for refinery to go from conception, contracting to execution, delivery & commissioning Perhaps a Civil/Project Engineer in the house can help us. Anyone who understands a little about our recent socio-economic history will understand that Gowon initiated with a good civil service what Obasanjo commissioned. That efficient civil service was dismantled by Murtala/Obasanjo. Meanwhile we know that when Buhari was MAXIMU ruler for two years and had no legislature to contend with nor any Boko Haram insurgency to fight all our infrastructures and services were neglected. From weeds overtaking railways at the end of his WASTED tenure: www.nairaland.com/attachments/2045441_image_jpeg9f360c5ab7736510df54c882e9dbf188 to NEPA looking for light www.nairaland.com/attachments/2090179_buharinopower_jpeg076a5ac049bdb0d76435be4901421bce to the Organised Private Sector (OPS) employers complaining of closed farms & factories in the worst economic situation: www.nairaland.com/attachments/2094393_image_jpeg9f360c5ab7736510df54c882e9dbf188 There is no doubt the old pensioner was a failure then just as he is a man bereft of ideas even today! |
