@ OP, I got to read your post and I was simply flabbergasted. Reasons? 'cos the post is riddled with so many BLATANT lies, I just don't know where to start from. Right now, I'm so tired to type a rebuttal, but I honestly can't wait to shut you APC e-roaches up once and for all come February 14. But don't worry, the valentine heart break tissue papers and chocolates for your general and you are on me. Oh I forgot #GEJTill2019 #NoVacancyInAsoRock 2 Likes |

jpphilips: Dude, you really really reeeeeeeally need to shut the FCK up, cos you OBVIOUSLY oblivious to what's currently happening right now. Sure the Chadians have joined the fight to AID Cameroon, and yes they did kick ass acting as a blocking force in Gamboru-gala. But care to explain the massacre that just occurred in Fotokol, Cameroon, the main operations base of the Chadians? The Chadians just had their post overrunned by 7000 BH militants, while the Nigerian Army not only defended Maiduguri, but recaptured Gwoza (capital of the caliphate), Bama, Baga, and are currently laying seige on Sambisa. Yet you have the audacity to come here and spew trash? You MUST be stupid. |

You know what, we've heard ALL your complaints about Jonathan. Now care to share of the APC intends to address the issues listed in that garbage post? Do note that while you whine and complaining like cry babies (as usual), GEJ is still working and moving the nation forward. So hey, keep spewing trash, it won't help you case. Jokers. |

biafranqueen: Why should he apologize? The video you gave doesn't show anywhere Buhari or anyone saying that they will stabilize global crude oil price as falsely and popularly brandished. Only mischief wil make anyone twist the CONTEXT of what was being discussed. In the video you present, Buhari was asked "How would you tackle the challenges that we are facing in our economic life considering that we are reliant majorly on oil proceeds?" To this, Buhari responded by saying "I think it is absolutely necessary to make people accountable. During this discussion, we've talked about the hearing conducted. About the mismanagement of the oil industry, where we depend on 95% of our foreign earnings. I think WE SHOULD DO WHAT WE CAN TO STABILIZE THE OIL MARKET". Notice that, the I and the WE and the SHOULD. He did nopt say that HE will personal stabilize GLOBAL crude oil PRICES, but that WE should stabilize the oil MARKET. Of course, the context of the discussion is the NIGERIAN economy. And he went further to elaborate on that. He said that the things that will complement our earnings(foreign earnings, remember) will take time. Those complements include agriculture and maybe mining. In the context of the question asked him about falling oil prices. He is saying what will IMMEDIATELY help our economy is to STABILIZE the MARKET. As at the time/period of the interview(Dec 2014), global oil price was dropping like a pack of cards. In that context, starting mining or throwing in agriculture will not give immediate results or save our economy. What will save our economy according to the video is stabilizing the oil market. What did he mean by that? To be exact, i will type Buhari verbatim. Buhari explained his answer and context clearly by saying "... stop wastages from top to bottom, so that whatever revenue is realised is judiciously applied to the economic development of the country. But without bringing discipline into the accountability, I'm afraid that even if the oil PRICE goes back to good old days of over $100 per barrel, we cannot see the difference. If we look at from 1999 till date, what Nigeria realized in terms of in-flow of foreign exchange, Nigeria never received it since amalgamation. " What he has said is the truth. i'm not sure he said that military regimes did NO HARM to Nigeria. He simply made his point by insisting that the democratic administrations have been no better. And it is true. There is nothing significant that our democratic administrations have done that the military administrations did not do. Our best universities, roads, bridges, hospitals, refineries, airports, railways were all built by the military administrations. These are the things that many people are wailing about on social media and on TV that the GEJ administration has done/achieved. Some even mention soccer nations cup as part of democracy achievement, it's ludicrous. i remember listening to Chief MKO Abiola during his 1993 presidential debate recently. He was talking about technology, and about how ITT made a proposal as far back as 1975 to produce technology equipment in Nigeria. He said that nothing significant was done about it until 1984 when it was agreed on and signed. 1984 is the Buhari administration. Babangida took over and shelved it until March 1993, just before the June elections. We all know what happened till date. We just got GSM in 99/2000 and we are still fluctuating with network. Point is that they(military and democracy) have both had their good and their bad sides. Leadership is not about being of military background or democratic background. It is like having two staff, one from the University and one from technical school. Are we going to be rating their performance and appraisals on the job or on their schools? It should be on the job of course. The present administration has not demonstrated that much needed leadership, never have we had a presidency synonymously and perpetually referred to as kindergaten and clueless. Something is wrong somewhere, and the chief reason i personally gave up on this current administration is the FAILURE to see that something is wrong. This is not positive confession or Good people great nation mantra. Repeating transformation transformation does not blind me to the reality on ground in this country. If we have made any progress, it has being at snail speed and mostly not really a result of government policies/decisions but because of who we are as a nation(intelligent and blessed) and our population strength. 2 Likes |

pekeyim: It is biased and unfair to say that buhari is the exactly the same person he was 30yrs ago. Nobody is the same person he was 30yrs ago, not you, not me, not President Jonathan, not Buhari. Buhari was 40+ years old and a military man. President Jonathan had no PhD then i guess, neither was he nursing any ideas of being President. Have you listened to Buhari recently? Are his campaigns about the things you have said? In the GEJ administration, we have not had the FOI, we do not have access to his assets or his PhD thesis or the PwC reports about NNPC. That is what press freedom is about. Under this democracy, we have seen the disenfranchisement of many citizens due to harrassment of citizens at the Osun and Ekiti state gubernatorial elections by the unnecessary influx of military personnel on election day, not to mention the Mbu case in Rivers state and the teargassing and shutout of lawmakers just recently. Go and see the poor people and many innocent people in police custody, SARS custody and co and see Human rights abuse like hell. Human rights is not just for rich people and popular people like politicians. When you talk about massive retrenchment and job loss, i wonder where you verified those figures you gave. By the way, the economy had already collapsed from the Shagari government, job loss was not as a result of Buhari's government but Shagari's and it was not to that tune. Buhari's economic plan did not fail, and he paid all our foreign debts as agreed and as at when due. Also, the era's judgement was not selective but based on what they thought was proof. 1 Like 1 Share |

vigasimple: i do not think the question is IF GEJ is not good enough. He has being evaluated already and is not good enough. He himself said it, that if he could not do something in 4years, then he cannot do it even in 100years. The test before us has just two options, President Jonathan and Buhari. i think Buhari is a better option. What do you think are the ideas and visions of Buhari? How are they completely outdated or antique? Buhari's idea is that we should not rely too much on oil only, that corruption should not be allowed to thrive, that our country should not be insecure and taken over by riff-raff Boko Haram, that there should be more job creation than what we currently, that our coal industry, mining refineries should work. Are those antique ideas or completely outdated ideas? What is wrong with Buhari's age? From the OP, i am very sure that Buhari will not embarrass Nigeria with statements such as seen by the current President, neither will he make such outrageous unbelievable moves/inactions as the incumbent. -President Jonathan indeed shocked Nigerians with the news that Boko haram has taken control of 6 towns in 4 LGA’s the height of incompetence in balkanizing the Nigerian state, a week later, Nigerians were blown away by series of austerity measures handed to them. This is very true. -The President of the Federal republic of Nigeria used a militant Asari Dokubo for black market gun running, evident from the grounding and seizure of over $10m by the South African authorities. This is true and Buhari will not do this. -Boko haram declaring a caliphate on Nigerian Soil, Gentlemen and Ladies, Jonathan Has once again made a history of Incompetence. Never in the history of Nigeria have we ceded territories to bandits. This happened. -Since August 2012, when the Ebola outbreak began, The Nigerian govt had no single emergency response plan in place. $11m emergency fund and N480m budgeted for the control of infectious diseases in the 2013 budget never got to the Lagos state government, the Nigerian Ebola Epicenter. Very true. -we saw the worst abuse of his Royal majesties powers when he barred APC Governors from attending a rally in Ekiti state with soldiers, meanwhile Boko Haram is still having a field day in the North. The senate revealed to Nigerians how the president Mis appropriated over 685b kerosene subsidy fund. All these happened, it is just last year. -Jonathan, who was asked to comment on the allegations of corrupt practices leveled against some of his ministers, had said that nobody was above mistakes and that if he were to be acting based on reports on each of them, “no one will stay for more than six months in office. And he offered amnesty to terrorists, all these are true. -April 2014: reminded us the climax of Jonathan’s administration where he went on a jamboree while book haram held over 200 young girls, hostage, April never ended before the Dizeani madueke’s 10billion naira scam reached a climax. The pictures are still vivid in memory, these happened. - just before the centenary celebration where Abacha of all people was a beneficiary, scores of Innocent school children were murdered in Adamawa sate. Who does not remember this? -The illegal suspension of the CBN Gov.at a time the nation was in dire need of foreign direct investment,a presidential committee was set up to investigate the October scandal of stella odua who came with a guilty verdict, yet she kept her job. All these happened. -President Jonathan took a record breaking 600 men entourage for the UN General assembly in New york After the billions of dollars spent in revamping the nation’s airports, skytrax world airport ranking for Africa showed Nigeria didn’t make it to top 10 in Africa neither did it make it top 100th place in the world. Whereas Ethiopia and Mauritania made it to position 9th and 8th respectively, what a shame. This happened, right? And on and on like that. Even these alone are enough, not to mention the infamous embarrassment from his wife or the world famous interview with CNN's Amanpour where he was glibly saying "that is not correct" when facts were being presented to him, or him telling Obama to come and fix Nigeria. Or is it his re-election campaign gaffes like "how much did Jim Nwobodo stole", talks about others not buying one rifle, "If I arrest all corrupt Nigerians, who will be left to run the country?", telling women they are not designed to pound yam, "First lady does not spend government money", "A time will come in Nigeria that there will be no single prison", "People compare common stealing to corruption", "Crises in all developing countries would continue, whether at primary school level or tertiary school level", "You journalists even know more than us" and his blatant refusal to address Nigerians directly concerning any Boko Haram attack. 2 Likes |

Image123:I like the fact that you have an open mind, You are indeed a rare germ amongst the vast majority of Buhari's supporters i've engaged in a proper discussion. I totally agree with you that someone in 1983 isn't the same person in 2015, But even in medicine there is something called "Patients History " doesn't mean if your parents are diabetics you also will be diabetic but the chances are High. Yes I have listened to Buhari's speeches lately and it is worries me that He doesn't understand the fact that He's in the opposition and needs to use every single opportunity to woo voters over rather than banking on "religious" support. For instant @ rallies, You'll only speak for few minutes mostly under 5 minutes and say, We'll tackle insecurity, corruption, unemployment, not actually telling us How? I watched President Obama and any chance He had to debate He used it, Instead with the General, "These guys are compromised, these ones are pdp, these ones are anti-APC" Nigerians were looking forward to the debate but as a "General " You are probably above the masses and not answerable to no one, The case of the WASC Certificate is a serious concern, as a Man of integrity ("Like the popular scarce face movie funny it was in 1983 also "I only got two things in this world my balls and my word and I don't break them for nobody!- Tony Montana" Rather than posting us to several places, just ask Cambridge to release the results.. i'm sure you probably still remember your WASC number, but You don't know where the certificate itself is. You call what happened in Ekiti and Osun unnecessary? Well @ least APC won in Osun, there was a need to guide the electoral process, APC is also into rigging. I won't like to comment on Mr. Mbu and Rivers State, Mbu is now incharge of Lagos region, let's see how it goes, The lawmakers wanted to cause trouble, If the police should barricade an area what's the right thing to do?? Jump the fence?? You talk of SARS, but do you remember Operation Flush, Swift and co?? Even in US we still have false convictions etc, But the fact that someone can be held without trail even when you do not have a case against Him/Her, is grave INJUSTICE!!! I posted the link where I got those figures from, Buhari's government change the colour of the naira note, it had a lot of consequences, and blocked the border because of that, please do some research on that. So You mean Shagari deserved House arrest while Ekueme deserved to be in Kirikiri? Thank You. |

ocelot2006: According to the Chadian commander yesterday, Fotokol was under the control of the Cameroonian BIU at the time, the Chadians are yet to be deployed there. Fotokol was a resupply base for BH so they (Chadians) least expected it to be attacked so soon reason for the late deployment, I hope you remembered that 4days before the attack, the Cameroonian authorities started a massive evacuation of residents, same cannot be said of Nigerians who have suffered a similar fate, at least for the areas captured so far, it could have been worse, thanks to the pro active thinking of the Cameroonian authorities. If I were you, I will wait for the Chadians to launch their counter offensive before we draw appraisals, like you confessed, the Chadians are damn good at what they do. Haven said that, the competent Nigerian Army has ceedeed territories so much that BH is so emboldened to try their luck on Maiduguri twice, which could have been the beginning of the end for all of us, considering the fact that Maiduguri is home to most displaced persons from other restive areas and seat of Government. We also know that not until the Arrival of the Chadians and their French surveillance aircraft and intelligence support, those ceedeed territories are already off the Nigerian map, so we know who is really doing a good job. We also know that Baga the MNJTF head Quarters of Nigeria, Chad and Cameroon fell the moment Chad and Cameroon withdrew their troops, just out of curiosity, why did we loose that base? could it be because the warriors just left or we are not upto the task of holding the front at the exit of the warriors? #just thinking aloud# You can continue deceiving people whom Jonathan deprived electricity to watch the news definitely not me. That reminds me, were you not the officer who does not know the difference between an insurrection and a civil war? let me hope that you have improved over time, else you are not worth the stress. |

pekeyim: Show me one country in the world where the opposition give in details its solution to the incumbent, just mention one? At the time Obama campaigned for change, he promised to withdraw American troops from Iraq, did he say how?did he tell you that he has located Osama and for a year 8months the Seal team 6 are making preparations for the hit? did you know that? Did he tell you that Osama's Abottabad residence has been under surveillance for over a year? He promised to neutralize the sleeping cells of terror as a global challenge did he tell you how? After the death of Osama no single retaliation on American soil or interests abroad, did he tell you how he did it? He promised health care to 80% of the American population, did he say how? Did he tell you during the elections about the chip they want to use to access health care? Second term; Obama promised to expand America's Energy interest, did he tell Mc cain of shale oil boom? did he tell him his Russian, Iran, Saudi Arabian plans of rendering OPEC useless? The Brazilian opposition took over from the incumbent and in their first term the Brazilian economy was so robust to join the BRICS, why did the opposition not divulge it to the incumbent? What about the strides of the Indian opposition? How about the present govt of Rouhani of Iran, did he tell Ahmadinejad his strategy of lifting western sanctions to better their economy did he? guess you know Obama is fighting with the republican congress because of Rouhani's diplomatic successes. What you guys ask from the opposition is totally unrealistic. What we as electorates have is the right to hire and fire every four years by dissecting the pedigree of the actors whether incumbent or aspiring, you don't have the right to ask anyone to give you his ideas free. It doesn't happen in any part of the world and Buhari is not stvpid to oblige you that. I equally watched President Jonathan's interview with Isha Seesay of CNN, Jonathan was asked thrice "Mr President what do you stand for?" Mr president had no answer to that question, that question was repeated thrice yet our PhD wielding president had no answer to that simple question, not until it was degenerating to an embarrassing turf, Seesay skipped that part. Fast forward to Dec last year when Jonathan granted NTA an interview, he automatically became a genius, could you believe that he actually quoted in figures the tonnage of fertilizers distributed to farmers so far, can you beat that? I needed no Juju to tell me that this man have studied this question before hand, is it the charade you want to see in the name of debating? If Jonathan knew he would love me to watch him debate in 2015, why has he not overhauled the transmission network of PHCN in 6yrs? If OBJ could launch the NIPP of $16b, to build plants that are set to generate 15,000mw of electricity, why is Jonathan dragging his feet to over haul transmission which is the only challenge we have and probably, the gas pipping networks? This second phase if far cheaper than the first phase yet over $20b was stolen under his watch. Haven't we suffered enough? Just like Soludo said, there is no Iroko in Jonathan's forest of achievements, now this is what it means. When you mention OBJ, NIPP, New NAFDAC, EFCC, Consolidation, Privatization, PSC, UBE, GSM all come to mind, this is a government that messed up big time but still left an Iroko in its forest of achievements, when you mention Jonathan, all you hear is Sub standard trains, nothing more, is that all you deserve in 6yrs? where are Jonathan's "Iroko"? resurfacing airports that Skytrax does not agree with? or surfacing roads? or fighting with Amaechi? where is the "Iroko" of this administration? You win, and sure P? You mentioned holding people in detention without trial, it is very wrong, the 1999 constitution was what stipulated 48hrs maximum, if there should be an extension it should be granted by the court to enable the police conclude their investigations. During Buhari's regime, human rights records were generally low, world over including the united states, the United states historians till date have not unanimously agreed that Oswald killed John F Kennedy, which crime is higher than killing a serving president of the United states? that will give you an insight to the inefficiencies at the time, 1964 was exactly 20yrs before Buhari in an underdeveloped African country, why are you expecting Buhari's 1984 to be perfect and efficient? It is appalling when people use the phrase "unlawful detention" to cast aspersion on Buhari, "decree 4" was the law and it said the secret police can detain till investigations are concluded, so what is unlawful about that? whether it is morally right, my answer is a big NO, but when I pick my history books I see that it was the life that was obtainable at the time. Political prisoners don't have much luxury of Justice world over at the time, let us start with the actor, Buhari, after he was ousted by IBB, he faced 3yrs incarceration without trial. Lets go to south Africa, Under the Apartheid government, Nelson Mandela was detained for 5yrs out of the total 27yrs he spent in prison. In Singapore, Chia thye Poh has this outstanding history "Detained under the Internal Security Act of Singapore for allegedly conducting pro-communist activities against the government, he was imprisoned for 23 years without charge or trial and subsequently placed under conditions of house arrest for another nine years – in which he was first confined to the island of Sentosa and then subject to restrictions on his place of abode, employment, travel, and exercise of political rights.....wikki In Europe the Father of human rights, recorded this event in history, Muhammetguly Aymuradov, the longest-serving political prisoner in Turkmenistan, has been released after serving more than 14 years in jail, Even United states under the watch of Amnesty international is still unlawfully detaining suspected terrorists in Guantanamo Bay, some of the suspects have been detained for over a year without trial, and it is happening in this our generation let alone the 80's. Do not misconstrue my intentions of digging out these historical events, I am in no way in support of human right abuse, however, demonizing Buhari on that grounds without pointing to the fact that such was the world they lived in is misleading. About Ekwueme and Shagari, Buhari admitted that even though his Government has usurped Shagari's government, as a sitting president of Nigeria, he deserved some respect. you are looking at the small picture, do you know what it means to place a president on any type of arrest? a serving president with all his luxury and state apparatchik? At the time President Morsi of Egypt was ousted by the military, he was never thrown to prison till an interim successor came on board, all the while he was in detention, he was placed under house arrest. Let me quickly remind you that the office of a president is an "INSTITUTION" not a "PERSON" in fighting corruption, you don't treat a serving president with disdain, else you will be making a mockery of the office you are occupying, it is the practice world over and Buhari knew that, it is no selective justice, Shagari was lucky to have been the president at the time. Why do you think that the 1999 constitution has an "immunity clause" for serving heads of state? It is called "presidential privilege" because it is not easy to be one. 4 Likes 3 Shares |

Seun:Jonathan sounded & acted so pathetic initially. I had pity on him. Again, I thought he was a good man intrinsically. I still do think he is a good man, but that's not enough to be a leader. To be a good leader, you have to be agile, intelligent, strong-willed; you need to be hard & ruthless when need be. Jonathan is by far a weak administrator. He isn't fit for that post. He lets himself to be pushed around too much, forgetting that he alone takes all the blame. Nigeria is too rough & tough for just diplomacy. Nigeria needs more of action. And Jonathan is not the man to bring that to this country. I've lost confidence in him. I think we should give Buhari a chance. 1 Like 1 Share |

jpphilips:LOL. I don't know whether some people forget everything that happened the previous day on the sight of a new one. Firstly, Nigeria has been the one calling for a better and stronger multinational force with its neighbour right from the beginning of the insurgency. Have you forgotten when Nigeria did everything possible for our neighbours to see the dangers of not supporting our action. So what AU just did was stamping what we wanted all along. Their is no need arguing with you because it would not change your programmed mind, so vote who you want and it is your fundamental right. Atleast this government would not deprive you of that compared to those who deprived us of this basic right but they still want to enjoy the dividend of democracy. |

mickyeddi: First of all you have to note that the president will not come and force anybody to labour and fend for him or her self. That been said. There has been a tremendous turnaround in the agricultural sector of this nation since Jonathan regime. Before now farming was seen as a poor man business but today it's a different story. When I was in school, from primary to university there have been epileptic power supply in different parts of the country but today though we can't boast of 24hours power but we all know that it's "7 up". What of educational system in Nigeria that was almost dead, hence the trooping in of private schools all over the country. Not only is his regime building new schools but making government school teachers feel proud of the profession. What of the road he has embarked on constructing and or repairing. The Nigeria railway has never functioned for so many decades, but in his single stay in the office he has brought it from the pit that the past presidents has put it in and is lifting the sector high than every other transportation systems in this nation. You still want more? OK on more. You say he is weak, that he can't fight boko haram? Let me ask you one thing, the alright USA, that I know you are praying to be a citizen of, searched for bin laden for 10 years before they take him out, but yet his boys still dey. ISIS has been terrorising for years now, USA plus other nations has not been able to take them out and they are claiming territories. But our president has fought boko haram not to a halt now but has paralysed them seriously. GEJ all the way. |

cooljude: So what exactly is your point? call yourself giant of Africa at home, run to New york to seek assistance, then Paris to finalize the MNJTF deal right? with ordinary Chad, Niger and Cameroon abi? How about sending your boys to contain the threat and entertain them with medals? In 1997 when the president of Sierra Leone Alhaji Ahmad Tejan Kabbah was ousted, neither by rag tag militia nor rag tag terrorists, but dissidents factions in his professional military, armed to the teeth and led by Major Johnny-Paul Koromah, Nigeria under ECOMOG stepped in, after nine days offensive, our boys came home with victory, it might interest you to note that the inauguration of president Kabbah was Abacha's last foreign trip. On the streets of Freetown, Nigeria was once again revered as the true giant of Africa, now, that was the military Jonathan inherited, what is he leaving behind? a Military that runs to Chad for help, Chad whose @rse we kicked real bad in 1978? or Cameroon that we stationed our military on the Bakassi peninsular for over 14yrs and they couldn't cough? please don't provoke me, if you don't love this country, I do. Jonathan is an irredeemable failure, no amount of PR can package charcoal to become macleans. |

yazz09: Dude I'm European and don't crave for US citizenship like you folks in Nigeria. I di business in Nigeria and don't know much about its politics but what I know is there nothing I've seen so far that justifies another term for the current president. 1 Like |

jpphilips: I do presume that you are leaving below poverty too. Anyway am not and people can post all sorts of rubbish (like you and the op) on the Internet but that doesn't change the truth. THESE HAS BEEN A GREAT POSITIVE CHANGE IN THIS NATION SINCE JONATHAN CAME. Take it or leave it. GEJ all the way. |

mickyeddi: My dear if you are European then I ask you this question, will you allow a man that believes in bloodshed, that does not have a strategy for governing a nation (imaging tell us that that he will stabilise oil price), that plotted coup and overthrow a democratic government, that kills mercilessly both men and women despite your age, a stack illiterate but to mention a few to be president of your country. Well I was born, raised and still in Nigeria and have seen the development of this nation, and I must tell you we have never had it better than this present government. GEJ all the way. |
