Personally, I think these are really misconceptions. But... #Yorubas are dirty: c'mon you know everyone can't be dirty na. But because most of them are, we tend to generalize. #Yorubas are too fetish: yea I like the fact that their aged still know the importance of our African Traditional religion. But what annoys the hell out of me is seeing a young yoruba guy/babe boosting with a juju or shrine at the slightest provocation. Of a truth, Yorubas have wealth of wisdom. 2 Likes |

Re: Top 10 Misconceptions About The Yoruba Tribe by Kingsasian(m): 9:36pm On Feb 05, 2015 |
I so mch hate the issue of tribalism especially when it involves two people who are planning to get married. Secondly, there is this perception about the people from my tribe,,, the efik-ibibio that they are very good in bed and can go on for hours nonstop which is not always true. Most ladies I approach or flirt with always never believed me when ever this particular issue comes up and I tell them I am not one of those imaginary efik men that performs nonstop. people should stop having misconceptions about other tribes. 1 Like |

Naturally, they are dirty. Have a look at the areas they live. LAZINESS. The men depend on the ladies just as the leaders are so fraudulent on foriegners living in their territory RACIST. They are the most racist group I have seen in Nigeria. FETISH. They believe so much on juju and wickcraftry. They are complete opposite of the industrious, caring and loving IGBO people. 3 Likes |

Faibuhari: I Wonder o. It just sound absurd. A Yoruba state was the first to start public sweeping of public areas before others follow. Yoruba is the number 1 tribe in nigeria. |
