It is sad to see many anti-progressives call Buhari names because of his tribal accent. Igbo's , Yoruba and Hausa's all have various ways of speaking and pronunciation due to our mother tongue. When i watched father Mbaka's video, his accent was obvious when he pronounced OIL as OYEL but does that makes him an illiterate? General Buhari reads, writes and gives speeches in English, but the hatred by some Nigerians will never let them see that fact.

The most supporters of this present administration are the Igbo's. They see this as an opportunity for them to avenge what was done to them during the civil war. They never blamed Ojukwu who started a suicide mission and ran to ivory coast leaving them to their fate. This is why they will never see anything good in Buhari even if GEJ does nothing, they are contented.

Had APC presented Fashola, Atiku or Kwankwaso , they will still find reasons to vote for GEJ and label Apc candidates bad. This hate is not about buhari, it's the way they feel they can get revenge for refusing to allow them form their Biafran territory. They call Yoruba's slave to the North and all sort of names. They are a petty tribe. Its unfortunate the disunity of this country originates from their region.

In 2011, we all saw GEJ as a messiah and we voted him en-masse irrespective of his tribe and religion. We thought he would deliver us from years of misrule due to his humble look and name GOODLUCK. Nigerians did not vote PDP but GEJ. Then Yoruba's were not tagged slaves for trooping out to vote for him en-masse.

They said APC and Buhari promised to make Nigeria ungovernable. My question is why can't these people be arrested if the statements tagged to them were true GEJ is the commander in chief of all forces in Nigeria and it baffles me how a civilian in Buhari can make his government ungovernable while he sits and watch without taking actions. Isn't that a high level of incompetence?

Good luck Jonathan is the worst president we ever had in this country. The misfortunes of his administrations exceeds the so called transformations. I urge everyone to vote wisely

Maybe the following is alarmist but....

After the French have managed to station all their proxy forces in Nigeria – namely Chad, (Niger is coming in) then maybe it will be Benin, then Ivory Coast and Cameroon. What is Nigeria’s plan to monitor these forces? Already, on a link on Beegagles blog that uploaded Reuters pages, the French president Holender, was screeching, ‘why isn’t the West doing anything, only France is helping Africa’. This means that Nigeria will be hard-pressed to resist AU forces and maybe Nigeria will be brow beaten into accepting UN forces. By the time France is finished with Nigeria, I doubt there will be anywhere in the world with more foreigner forces stationed than on Nigerian soil. How will Nigeria manage these forces and how will Nigeria stop this Western sabotage of the economy, which will regress so that once again South Africa’s economy is number one. How will Nigerians prevent Nigeria from being ravaged by Bokoharam which will then proliferate and spread in Nigeria because the presence of these foreign forces is not to help Nigeria but to safeguard Bokoharam so that Bokoharam is always relevant as an excuse to destroy Nigeria further?
In the CAR/DRC the UN remains til today and regularly UN soldiers are accused of violations.

GenBuhari:

Why is our govt pretending to be incapable of defeating a rag tag bunch of militants.

Is because our compromised govt is working for and taking orders from their imperialist masters instead of working for the Nigerian people.

Some perspective; in 1997 / 1998 General Sani Abacha (without accepting any IMF loans and earning just average of $13 per Barrel from crude oil sales) was able as a regional superpower to simultaneously intervene in 2 civil wars in Sierra Leone and Liberia and was able to resolve both wars within months.

It is no coincidence that Boko Haram's activities always seems to benefit the govt.

Boko Haram is not a genuine religious sect -it is an imperialist American creation to destablise Nigeria and facilitate America's stated prediction that Nigeria will break up in 2015.

Boko Haram has never killed or attempted to kill a single PDP politician.

They have never even ever bombed PDP offices.

Boko Haram assisted the govt to put an end to the fuel price protests in 2012 by bombing the venues of the protests in Kano.

Imperialist France and its puppet regimes Chad and Cameroun (both Chad and Cameroun have history of territorial disputes with Nigeria) currently bombing occupying and clearing parts of the North, and with every likelyhood that the bombing would spread to other areas, it is likely that unless elections hold on the 14th Feb, it would too late to save the nation.

Imperialist America through is ally France and her puppet regimes in Chad and Cameroun, have commenced the bombings which they may use to eventually break up Nigeria, under the pre-text of fighting Boko Haram on our behalf; whilst our president is pre-occupied with delaying elections and school certificates of his opponent.

Perhaps this explains why CNN was recently telling false stories of Boko Haram gaining and over-running Nigerian towns.

Have we forgotten the plane that landed in Kano full of French military arms headed for Chad?

Have we forgotten about the Nigerian professor who warned last year that France was planning an invasion of Nigeria by proxy and was training Francophone African troops in Cameroun?

If elections do not hold on the 14th Nigeria may break up. The current govt would allow it to happen , but Buhari even as President-elect would try to prevent it.

Nigerians need to organise and go onto the street enmasse to send message our govt and their imperialist masters not to postpone elections and to stop bombing Nigeria.

That juncture is here.

Don't use the connotation of democracy to shield the incompetence of government. The first line says ''government of the people'' not people of the government so to whom much is given, much is expected. Yes don't depend on government then let government provide basic amenities to make people independent.

During the Western powers attack on Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, the term Exit Strategy became significant. We all know now why and what it means. My question is what will be Nigeria’s “Get Them Out” strategy?

Bokoharam may never end...what then?

Up till today Terrorism remains in a sort of idling mode in Algeria are we going to allow the foreign troops if they come to remain indefinitely ?

what will be Nigeria’s “Get Them Out” strategy?

PARIS (Reuters) - France has sent military advisers to Niger's southern border with Nigeria to help coordinate military action by regional powers fighting the Islamist group Boko Haram, a French army official said on Thursday.

The deployment was announced as warplanes pounded Boko Haram positions just over the border in Nigeria, a resident in the Niger town of Bosso said, and hundreds of Chadian troops massed at the frontier to prepare an attack.

Chad has sent about 2,500 troops as part of efforts to take on the militant group, which has intensified its fight to set up a breakaway Islamist state in Nigeria and has staged cross-border raids. Chadian troops crossed into Nigeria this week from Cameroon, on the southern side of Lake Chad.

A French army official told Reuters a detachment of about 10 military personnel had been stationed in Diffa at the request of Niger, its former colony.

"It is there to coordinate the armies on the ground in the fight against Boko Haram," the official said.

The African Union (AU) has authorized a force of 7,500 troops from Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Benin to fight the militants. It is expected to seek a United Nations Security Council mandate, which could also include logistical support from other countries.

A source close to the Niger government told Reuters on Thursday the parliament in Niamey would vote Monday to send its troops to Nigeria.

Nearly two years after a French-led operation liberated the north of Mali from al Qaeda-linked rebels, France has headquartered a 3,200-strong Sahel counter-insurgency force, Barkhane, in the Chadian capital N'Djamena, some 50 km (30 miles) from the Nigerian border.

It has also been operating reconnaissance missions near the Nigerian border and sharing intelligence with countries in the region, although it has ruled out direct military involvement for now.

Speaking at a news conference on Thursday, President Francois Hollande said Paris was also providing logistical and operation support, including by delivering fuel and munitions to countries fighting Boko Haram.

However, he said France could not be expected to get involved in every crises around the world and accused other major powers of inaction in Africa.

"This is a message to the international community and the biggest countries. Do your work! Stop giving lessons and take action!" Hollande said.

"In Africa, we have to help the Africans a lot more to fight terrorism, because if we do not then other countries will be destabilized," he warned.

Im glad that Boko Haram are now on the run from an army which they know means business, but at the same time I am very sad and angry.

We once had a military that single handed decimated the die-hard RUF Rebels in Sierra Leone and brought peace to Liberia, but it has now been reduced to the role of "boys scout" in the presence of Chadian and Cameroonian military. Chei! Imagine Nigeria, with our vast population and Oil money, soliciting for 7,500 soldiers from AU...and today Chad & Cameroun are showing our boys how to be a soldier again. Its time to vote in a govt that would restore dignity to our army. Indeed, Jona is the worst president Nigeria ever had.

@lookingforjob, you made some sense but then you messed up when you critizied the great Chief Ojukwu of the whole igbo land. So you want Igbo people to criticize the only one that stood up to muslim tyrants whose intentions then were to wipe us out or at least depopulate us. Na wa for you o. Igbo people were not terrorizing Nigeria like boko haram and niger delta militants then, people just let their envy of hardworking igbos to mean arrogance and acted on it in a Nigeria that is supposed to be for all. Guy, i wonder wetin your cv go dey yarn. Goodluck on your job hunt. The great Chief Ojukwu will always be a hero even with his faults to the majority of Igbos in Nigeria and abroad because he gave Igbos hope when we were scared, confused, and disorganized. Am sorry, you will always live with us praising him. RIP the great one. Thank you for your great service in Igbo history.

Sai Buhari cool cool cool
Dude, your moniker aptly summarises you. Go get yourself a job and stop the hate campaign.

Good one

But i'm beginning to see reasons why Jonathan want this election postponed so that he'll have enough chance to deal with these insurgent (something he should have done since) .In any case i wish Nigeria the best of luck.
All the years he has been in power, he did not deal with it until few weeks to the election. Abegi
