My people make una no fear. Na dem go tire. By the time they see a 20yr old looking Nigerian claiming 40 yrs with sworn affidavit from our court they will understand that we can never be caged as long as we have our system here that works for us. In the next one year they should expect every Nigerian coming to Dubai to be 40yrs and above. Yeye laws for yeye people sha. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Money is not everything, maintaining the sanity of their country may be more important than the money Nigerians bring, besides there are loads of other tourists who come to Dubai and co. onila: 4 Likes |

If it is true, then Who's next to close their doors to Nigerians? ...South Africa? That would be hilarious. However, the only source provided here is some random blog. |

ttmacoy:they didnt actually? what is the population of UAE? what about the land mass? UAE has 10million people and land mass of aprox. 90,000sqkm. which means the entire country is not even up to oyo state. now compare that with 170million population and close to 1million/sqkm land mass. and they produce almost the same number oil nigeria produces in a day. now compare that with population of if they really manage their economy well, they should atleast be among the 15 or 20 richest countries in the world. they also have problems with corrupt elites, but no one could question them because their is no democracy. 4 Likes |

Hmm I think you over estimate how much Nigerians spend in Dubai. Yes they spend money there but I don't think this will send them into recession or anything like that. See below the top 10 nationalities that visit Dubai - Nigeria is not there so they will be fine, besides I doubt Nigerians even spend up to anything like the Chinese will spend and they come with less issues and stress than Nigerians. Of this, Dubai’s top 10 hotel guest source markets were Saudi Arabia, India, UK, USA, Russia, Kuwait, Germany, Oman, Iran and China Emmanuel602: 2 Likes |

Yes we have more population, but you cannot tell me we have managed our oil wealth at all. Dubai even with the advantage of a smaller population have diversified their economy very very well. Look at Qatar, developed Qatar air to turn their country into a travel hub, yet we do not have a functioning national carrier. look at financial services, I work for a consulting firm who is helping Qatar design and launch a financial hub. They have successfully diversified and developed their country. Yes they have lower population, but I can also argue that the fact we have a larger population should mean we should have the human resources and skills to develop our economy, but we haven't. We made enough money from oil to invest in infrastructure and diversify our economy, but due to selfishness, greed and corruption we haven't. ribbit: 4 Likes |

ttmacoy:i didnt say UAE didnt develop anything, the point was trying to make, they could hsvr done better with what they have. the lower the population with great natural resources, the bigger the advantages. the big population only becomes an advantage when there is less natural resources. human resources comes in. you think nigeria wont be better than this if the entire country is the size of abuja and the population is not more than 10miilion without thousands of tribes to shi.it on each others head ? building the entire UAE is like Building a single in Nigeria. im not making excuses for nigeria's failure to get things right, but the point is, UAE could have been better than its current state. |
