It is clowns like this that give APC a bad name. This is a plan that is at best overly ambitious and you are already blowing the sycophants trumpet. Is the bid to get rid of Jonathan completely driven by idiocy?

Let me first let you know that I'm an APC and GMB fan, so that you will know from which angle I'm speaking from. Having said that, I quite agree with you that all these promises without figures doesn't add up. And just like Soludo said, we shouldn't take all these campaign promises serious if the party cannot put cost to these programmes or tell us how they intend to source the financing of the projects. And if their hope is based or projected on revenues from oil receipts only, then I think they are getting it wrong.

Sadly, it will still largely be based on oil revenue. Anyone who thinks that will change within the first year or two is not being realistic. Even 16 years of PDP rule hasn't changed that. However, any serious government can at least put structures in place that clearly show that the country is working towards diversifying the economy within four years.

For all those saying they will 'carry' their oil away; keep deceiving yourselves. I'll believe you when I see you on the front line spraying rounds of bullets out of your AK47. But then you don't know how to handle one do you?

If you think Nigeria cannot afford N53 trillion over 4 years, then you are being naive.

The missing $20 billion alone equals N4 trillion and that is just from one out of many corrupt government agencies. You cannot imagine how our resources have been mismanaged by PDP. This is the obvious reason they are scared of GMB.

That said, APC will create enabling environment for businesses to thrive and thereby create more jobs. All the jobs do not necessarily have to come from the government

#Sai Buhari

Is it still $20b?

I see this as just another propaganda by the ruling party to make people feel that Buhari's dreams for Nigeria is not achievable. That's a big lie! We are voting for him to begin a trend that'd take more than 4yrs to do. Change is a process.

Diversifying the economy in 4years still expect to make trillions of profit in the same four years RIDICULOUS. They didn't talk about how they will reduce the over 70% of national budget on govt expenditure only. They didn't talk about reducing their allowances and salaries. They talking over 50trillion what about major projects This is going to be rough. Una wan kill us with debt Change indeed

How would Gej manage the economy now that the oil prices are low? He can't even manage it when it hit the all time high. What are the infrastructures he has placed on ground for the last 6 years. Name one. Not the "I will do own".

Madam, tell us how your party intends to find 50 trillion naira to actualise their promises. That's all we ask.

Your earlier comments are hogwash, they don't make sense are unworthy of any sensible rebuttal.

I believe the report is faulty by assuming that all these projects will be funded by government. Take the 3 million jobs per year for instance. I don't believe they will be civil service jobs. Even President GEJ has created jobs in some sectors without using the civil service. The introduction of GSM in 2001 created millions of jobs that are not government jobs. Same also applies to some infrastructural projects. Besides, you'd be surprised at the amounts we lose to wastage and corruption.

I trust you are a Christian? Ecclesiastes 5:5 - It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it.

Buhari and osinbanjo said something and you are saying another. Are you the one running for presidency? Surely if buhari doesn't understand English well enough, Osinbanjo does and he could have clarified and explained to us that they will only create an enabling environment.

The budget kind of looks extravagant and Socialist in nature..did the author of this consider inflation... I know we want change but N53trillion in four years and the fact that it seems to be a budget of stomach infrastructure may end up making Nigerians even more lazy

This can easily be achieved by PPP, Apc states are doing fantastic in this area. I dare say no other state has built more houses than Lagos state, not even the federal government.

There is a lot of work to be done, Apc has never hidden that fact, infact buhari has said so severally.

Seun, this are the type of threads that should be on your front page, it could seem one sided but you can't blame the APC for the pdp not having a manifesto.
DID YOU KNOW THAT YOUR HYPOCRASY IS UNPRECEDENTED! you said that you are not expecting all these to actuallised overnight but YOU ARE EXPECTING JONATHAN TO TURN TO HARRY PORTER, THE PRESIDENT WITH MAGIC WAND, UHMN?

Agreed. But for how long? Don't forget that Yar Adua initiated the amnesty programme. What if an APC government decides to maintain it? Will the militants continue to be restive? In truth, they are the ones benefiting from amnesty, not the common Niger Deltan. If they are 'settled', will they continue to sabotage the government?

well if you don't believe in APC manifesto check how Lagos was generating a paltry sum of N2bn in 1999 and how their IGR for 2014 jump to N400bn.
that is an insight of what APC is.

Like Sambo did in the empty debates last weekend? Buhari is doing a fantastic job in the town hall meetings, his supporters are satisfied.

Oby biko.
Lets be real for once. It would have been better let the change agents explain to us this bogus manifesto through a public debate and not town hall meetings that will be majorly attended by party supporters as you rightly said.
Is it too much for employers(voters) to call the employees(aspirants) for an interview? An open one for that matter to come and sale themselves. An Oshiomole, a Fashola, a Tambuwal, a Kwamkwaso would have gladly used it as an opportunity to get some people decamp to APC after the debate.
Shame on Buhari that he has made GEJ a shining star in terms of public address.

Apart from these loopholes, the manifesto emphasizes mining and a major source of funding even though i agree it can't be immediate.

Nigeria is loosing 500,000 barrels of crude oil daily, multiply that by $60 then multiply by 200 naira exchange rate.

Come on, of course they won't employ 3 million people to government offices every year, they will create an environment for it. There are at least 8 solid minerals per state in this country. Mining and agriculture will solve this puzzle.

You think crude oil theft started in Jonathan's administration? If APC takes over the central government, that's when you will see the real theft. The militants will essentially ground oil exploration activities. Nigeria is going broke, evidently unable to fund it 4.sth trillion naira budget, and someone is talking about tripling the budget. U guys are jokers.
